The Megacorporation of Texico is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Rich Kruger with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, irreverence towards religion, and restrictive gun laws. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 2.759 billion Texicans are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.
The tiny, corrupt, pro-business, well-organized government is effectively ruled by the Department of Industry, with Healthcare and Law & Order also on the agenda, while Administration and Environment aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Texicapita. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.6%.
The frighteningly efficient Texicoan economy, worth 298 trillion Dollaridoos a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Soda Sales, Information Technology, and Retail. Average income is an impressive 108,200 Dollaridoos, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 975,323 per year while the poor average 1,474, a ratio of 661 to 1.
The Texico Automotive Racing Series draws millions of spectators annually while those near the tracks complain about the noise, airship use has soared while property values beneath their routes have plummeted, thousands of children die every day from easily curable illnesses, and the Ministry of Truthiness now manages the entire media industry. Crime is pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Texico's national animal is the Sea Turtle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways, and its national religion is Amalgamism.
Texico is ranked 58,110th in the world and 7th in Warzone Trinidad for Most Scientifically Advanced, scoring 129.45 on the Kurzweil Singularity Index.
