The Socialist People's Republic of Pravitel is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by President Alexei Leonidovich with an iron fist, and remarkable for its closed borders, strictly enforced bedtime, and infamous sell-swords. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 3.56 billion Pravitelians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Torgovlya Metropolis. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 83.3%.
