The Confederação of Marrico is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by O Conselho with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, unlimited-speed roads, and absence of drug laws. The compassionate, hard-working population of 12.225 billion Marricanos have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Magia. The average income tax rate is 46.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Marricano economy, worth a remarkable 1,948 trillion Pesos a year, is dominated by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Retail, and Book Publishing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 159,426 Pesos, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Feeling like a winner comes at a price, O Conselho has incinerated the international climate treaty in a public coal-burning ceremony, politicians "baring all" for the camera isn't always a figure of speech, and doughnut-makers claim their products are healthy because they are fortified with vitamins. Crime is totally unknown. Marrico's national animal is the Onça, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
