The Juraihelm-allied El Hazard of Kauru Taurus is a gargantuan, genial nation, ruled by Romio with an iron fist, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, strictly enforced bedtime, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, cynical, cheerful, devout population of 44.504 billion El Hazardians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. Politicians are often seen with soldiers pointing guns at their heads, all government facilities are built in the subterranean citadel of Floristica, Romio has been known to threaten dissenting citizens with a machine gun at press conferences, and Romio is the self-declared God of all Kauru Taurus. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kauru Taurus's national animal is the Squirfin, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is worship of the natural elements.
