The Democratic Kingdom of Reynar is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Triny I with an iron fist, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies, sprawling nuclear power plants, and stringent health and safety legislation. The cynical population of 1.602 billion Reynarians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vulpesia. The average income tax rate is 70.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Reynarian economy, worth 167 trillion Reynarian Francs a year, is quite specialized and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Trout Farming, and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 104,433 Reynarian Francs, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.5 times as much as the poorest.

Money is being desperately pumped into the ruined economy, light entertainment shows are light on actual entertainment, fake designer clothes are shredded and burnt while many in the world don't have a shirt on their back, and fishermen take out second mortgages to afford the yearly fishing permit. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Reynar's national animal is the Fox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Foxism.
