The People's Republic of Rumikia is a large, genial nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, cynical population of 80 million Rumikishes are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Uranium Mining. Average income is 19,514 Gasosas, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Parents often leave their kids in the car while they attend mindfulness meditation sessions, postcards from Rumikish driving test centres are popular souvenirs, five-year-olds who refuse to line up on command get gold stars, and unsolved crimes are often pinned on veterans with PTSD. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Rumikia's national animal is the Guara Wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
