The Federation of Quetesia is a very large, orderly nation, remarkable for its prohibition of alcohol, ubiquitous missile silos, and stringent health and safety legislation. The cynical, devout population of 115 million Quetesians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, moralistic, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Education, and Environment. The average income tax rate is 66.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Quetesian economy, worth 2.74 trillion Qwerties a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient black market in Tourism, Information Technology, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Woodchip Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. All industry is owned and run by the government, schoolchildren are arrested for possessing sidewalk chalk without a permit, the native owl population is in permanent hibernation, and the government is seen to favor traditionalist religions. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Quetesia's national animal is the Quetesian Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Quetesia is ranked 207,443^rd in the world and 4^th in Questia for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring -3.46 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
