Today's Reading: 1 CORINTHIANS 3:1-9

Spiritual Baby.
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:1)

The division at Corinth stemmed from pride. They try to shake off the stigma of being labeled as "babies", by trying to pursue worldly standards such as knowledge, fame and honor. But at different poles they do not show the attitude of an "adult". They want to tell the world that they are not people who deserve to be underestimated but on the other hand display a childish attitude. They clashed only because of their strengths, just like a child mocking the shortcomings of his friends.

The same situation may occur among believers. Often times we want to show superiority to the world but at the same time we show an attitude of not excelling. We still despise each other, not least to fellow believers. Often there are churches that are not conducive and experience divisions just because one member or group considers themselves superior to other members/groups. Just like children who often glorify their heroes.

If this happens to us we should measure our spirituality. We may feel spiritually mature even though we are still babies. If there is envy and strife it shows that we are still spiritual babies. Paul revealed that those who are spiritually mature will never question the strengths or weaknesses of each other, but consider them fellow servants of God, fellow workers of God to build His kingdom.

OLD IS A REALITY WE NEED TO FACE BUT TO BE AN ADULT IS A CHOICE.

Reflection:
Our struggle in Christ does not have to burden our daily lives. Because in the beginning, humans cannot be alone, there is always another helper that God has given for salvation and comfort in our lives. Hold fast in God and all things God will show to those who rely on God. Amen.

O Prince of Peace, once more we hear the guns
of war, once more we see the faces of
frightened children. We pray for the people of
Ukraine that they may be granted peace.
We pray for the people of Russia that they may
demand peace. We pray for our country that
we may be a positive part of peacemaking in

You have chosen to give mankind a model of humility;
our Savior took on our flesh, and subjected Himself to the Cross.
Grant us the grace to preserve faithfully the lessons
He has given us in his Passion and to have a share in His resurrection.
This we ask of You through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son.

Good and Gentle God,
we pray in gratitude for our mothers and for all the women of theory who have joined with you in the wonder of bringing forth new life.
You who became human through a woman, grant to all mothers the courage they need to face the uncertain future that life with children always brings.
Give them the strength to live and to be loved in return, not perfectly, but humanly.
Give them the faithful support of husband, family and friends as they care for the physical and spiritual growth of their children.
Give them joy and delight in their children to sustain them through the trials of motherhood.
Most of all, give them the wisdom to turn to you for help when they need it most.

Please bless and keep shining on the path they are on in their quest for liberation!
Join and guide them out of the way of torture they are facing,
Your will is eternal that may happen in the life of every individual there!

and most merciful hand may continue to be with them,
