Due to this oversight the High Court has struck down the portion of the Local Council passed game side election act dealing with vacancies in office. Repealing this section will allow the Local Council to again address the issue of LC vacancies in its own regulations. 6. Vacancies of Office (1) A special election will be held for vacancies arising within the Cabinet, if more than half of the term remains. If less than half of the term remains, or the position is vacant due to nobody running in its election, the Cabinet may appoint a replacement until the next regularly scheduled election. (2) A special election will be held for vacancies arising within the Local Council, if more than half of the term remains. If less than half of the term remains, or the position is vacant due to nobody running in its election, the Delegate may appoint a replacement until the next regularly scheduled election. (3) (2) Should the office of Delegate become vacant, the next person in the line of succession will become interim Delegate until the next regularly scheduled election. | Zataras | Hello everyone : )! I know there is a long post thing that I'm supposed to tag long posts with but I don't remember how to do it :(. I'd like to recognize the custom and that I'm not intentionally ignoring it. I have a few questions and comments that I would like to ask and make. First off I would like to nominate Melicorium for the Nation Congeniality Award - A new award given to a nation of the South Pacific, to be awarded to a nation that takes an active role in helping newcomers to the game, staying involved in the RMB, having a congenial attitude and helpful demeanor to other nations generally and the TSP specifically. I suggest that this award be determined by vote through a poll, to be administered in accordance and around the same time as the election of that position that we just held an election for. You know the one umm..... the local council is the one I mean. I think it would be cool to have like a some kind of like identifying mark or special symbol that could be added to the profile of the winning nation. I am still relatively new to the game and so I'm not sure how this would be done or how easy or hard it would be. Could someone please tell me what the Russian and Latin on our propaganda poster says that the guy or gal recently posted an imgur link to recently. I think I might have broken some RMB posting rules/norms in posting this post. Please take it easy on me, Last night, in real life, I was unable to sleep and around 2:45 am I heard a woman screaming out in terror "DEAR GOD PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME" around my apt so I got up and called 911 and reported it. Naturally I wasn't able sleep very well, my bed is all screwed up and it's hurting my back and I've got like 5 hours of hard physical labor to do today for work and etc etc etc . For an award given by just our region, it wouldn't be possible on NationStates to add anything. Only things like commendations and condemnations get put on your nation profile. It's supposed to say "Onwards! To the liberation of our Pacific brethren", but using Cyrillic letters that look similar to the latin letters I hope you're doing okay!
