Akarian republics
The AKG Taiho aircraft carrier has finished its refit and will be reentering service later this month.
Using countermeasures the rear guard aircraft are mostly able to maneuver out of Eluthanian range and over the Gorenik line, where a veritable venn diagram of air defense was present.
Land Construction of the majority of the Gorenik Line has been completed. Arstotskan Forces are to maintain their positions at various Fortress Cities and fortifications along the line. Daily artillery strikes are to be made against any substantial Eluthanian force in range, followed by the immediate tasking of a patrol to the area struck by artillery. Arstotskan Ground Forces are also to facilitate the evacuation of arstotskan citizens, and to begin establishing a network of land mines similar to that on the eastern front. Air Defenses are to remain on high alert, with ballistic missiles on constant standby with rotating crews.
Cheap insurgency weapons and chemicals manufactured in repurposed manufacturing plants in Orvich Vonor and East Grestin are to be distributed to various stay-behind groups past the Gorenik Line. They are to be managed and trained by the "Vipers/zmija" Battallion of the 31st Special Operations Brigade.
"Grifoni" Battalion of the 31st SOC is to conduct operations against Eluthanian Command elements, attempting to eliminate them as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Both battalions have been given access to an array of resources to accomplish their tasks. They are to be sent across the Gorenik line into the fray as soon as they are mobilized.
Air Under the cover of a combination of Barrage and Cover Pulse radar jamming alongside countermeasures to defend against infrared guided attacks, Arstotskan MiG-41s are to make constant "Wild Weasel" (SEAD) strikes on Eluthanian air defences being brought forward using Grom B and LVB-250F guided munitions. The MiGs will make their strikes in hunter killer teams, one aircraft being dedicated as a wingman to protect the other in the unlikely event of interception if the radar jamming is somehow unsuccessful.
E-22 early warning aircraft are to make consistent flights to warn against potential Eluthanian Aerial incursions, and E-4 aircraft are to conduct DRFM jamming operations over the Gorenik line to confuse Eluthanian forces and lower the effectiveness of SEAD and air-to-air operations.
Sea Operations are to continue as normal, however destroyers are given a greater range in their area of operations.
The submarine AS Kralnik was severely damaged by mines and was forced to retreat, however the two other submarines closest to the Eluthanian coast, the AS Verevica and AS Elećin, were able to make it past albeit at a slower rate. Each sub has been ordered to fire at Eluthanian ships docked in port and ships sent on mining operations immediately with their homing torpedoes, and if all else fails, to fire Have Rain and SPICE SLCMs at the ships and bases.

Overview: Today, President Jimenez has proposed a new, and controversial bill, named the Bill to Standardize Conscription. As one can presume, the bill standardizes conscription within Grand Abaco. But to know more, you have to look back. After Grand Abaco seceded from Saint Hal, in 1980, President Allen (1980-1988), ordered the creation of a defensive force to protect Grand Abaco. Seeing Grand Abaco's weakened and small state, with low population numbers, President Allen in 1984 finalized the conscription bill, as we have it today. This entailed that "everyone whom lives in the Grand Bahama Islands and the Abaco Islands has to serve for his/her country in any of the three military branches.... Conscripts have to enlist by the age of 30 years and 11 months, or one may face a draft or a criminal charge... Exceptions are only to those with mental illness, physical injury, prolonged illness (terminal or not)..." This excerpt is from the 1984 Conscription Bill, and has caused quite the controversy, from the abuse seen at the camps, to the 1998 Camp Fairfield Incident, where a mentally unwell conscript fired into barracks, killing one and injuring 15.
The First Conscription Bill: While the bill has seen edits over the years, many have started to think it is outdated and needs a renewal. From the primary focus on the two originating island groups in Grand Abaco, excluding future annexations, including the northern expansion to Ardens and the western expansion to Caribbea. In addition, the screening processes, which have been recorded as: "three mandated checks, and a look into the individual's past, not exceeding 5 years, and two interviews, in person, with the conscriptee, at least two months before conscription."
What's Changing?: President Jimenez has released the third draft of the Bill to Standardize Conscription, which upon reading makes vast changes to the current organization. This includes, but is not limited to, a longer time before conscription, more thorough background checks, more access to mental help during the tenure as a conscript, an overall extension to fully encompass all of Grand Abaco, and greater selection of choices. First of all, the max one could be before conscription, prior to this proposal, was 30 years and 11 months of age. This has been lowered to 24 years of age in all areas except strategic ops, which has been limited to 22 years of age. Second, the recruiters will thoroughly scourer the conscriptee's background and will conduct either 3-4 in-person interviews, or 1-2 in-person interview and 2-4 online interviews. All criminal history will be looked into and dissected. Next, instead of a "Just man up" mentality, the bill proposes the option to go on a leave of absence from training in order to visit the mandatory therapy sessions, which will last one week. People who suffer major injuries while during training may receive compensation and a 1-3 year extension to conscription. In addition, all of Grand Abaco will be applicable under this bill. And last of the major changes are the extensions to diplomatic and scientific fields of study, as well as the preexisting Navy, Airforce, and Army options.
Critiques: From Starlink posts and videos, to Cable TV and new reports, people from all over are critiquing the bill. From those who think that the conscription should be raised, upwards to 35 years of age, to the complete other side of people who think that the 24 maximum is too long, many have a few words to say about this bill. The highest and hardest hitting critique has come from Derek Lyons, a PhD in Political Science who stated, "Why should we maintain a compulsory military service? To install nationalism? To promote patriotism? Why? We are a country of now 138 million strong, and our president wants us to maintain the idea that we are still only a small archipelago? I get it, when we had 3 million people, but now? It's just ludacris. Let the people who want to be in it, be in it. Let the ones who want to protect us, protect us. Forcing a mandatory conscription just begrudges people. Maybe not in your little patriotic island of 3 million, but in your vast territories of 138 million, where many do not share the same sentiments as those of the native lands of Grand Abaco." His reply has caused much support against the bill to crop up in Ardens and Caribbea, with every mounting pressure to completely discard both bills.
A Response President Jimenez has responded to the critiques, mainly the one by Derek Lyons PhD, in a recent press release, stating "We are looking into revising both the existing bill and the proposal. From the recent backlash over the proposal, it has come to my attention that a bill is being written up removing both bills and eliminating all conscription from Grand Abaco."

Said drills are expected to be via phone notifications, to test the emergency notice system, and drills for the southernmost quadrants of the city. In these areas, workplaces are recommended to create a muster scenario and to practice mustering to a centralized location, and knowing the routes out of the so called 'Danger Zone'. Residents are recommended to do the same, although no action will be taken by the government unless there is an absolute threat against the citizens of the city.

The Hansdeltanian Federal Navy has announced the public launch of the Alicorn-class submersible aviation cruiser. Its exact specifications have been classified but its basic dimensions are more than 1,600 feet long and 380 feet wide with a displacement of 720,000 tons. It is powered by two nuclear reactors of some sort.
It is expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.

For some reason, this news has exploded in Cartdrigen. The daily news are intentional fights between sympathizers from Hansdeltania and Gabeopolis and even small demonstrations have called for the government to intervene to one side or the other. Government response? "Shut up and just see which side performs the best responsibility, Cartdrigen will do nothing."
Federal Union–Japanese Republic Status of Forces Agreement (FUJRSOFA), April 2021 revision:
The Federal Union will post no more than 25,000 uniformed personnel and 2,000 civilian employees and contractors on Japanese soil, except when requested by the Japanese Ministry of Defense. Of these, no more than 500 uniformed personnel may be special operations forces or other similar commando units, except when requested by the Japanese Ministry of Defense.
The Federal Union will post no more than 300 combat aircraft and 80 noncombat aircraft on Japanese air bases, airfields, and airports, except when requested by the Japanese Ministry of Defense.
The Federal Union may not operate more than 2 heavy aircraft carriers or battleships or 4 light aircraft carriers within 75 nautical miles of Japanese coasts and 100 nautical miles of conurbations with more than 20,000 inhabitants, excepted where requested by the Japanese Ministry of Defense.
Federal Union uniformed personnel and civilian employees and contractors who commit crimes outside the premises of the installation they have been assigned to will be tried in Japanese criminal courts under Japanese law.
Only officers of the Armed Forces of the Japanese Republic may be in command of installations on Japanese soil. Hansdeltanian Federal Armed Forces officers may serve as interim installation commanders.
The Federal Union may construct its own bases and installations at its own expense following express permission from the Japanese National Diet. The restriction on the numbers of uniformed personnel and civilian employees and contractors will remain the same except when requested by the Japanese Ministry of Defense. Under this clause, installation commanders do not have to be officers of the Japanese Armed Forces.
The Japanese National Diet reserves the right to restrict or expel Federal Union personnel with 30 days' notice and explicit reasoning for said restriction or expulsion.
The Japanese Republic may post no more than 10,000 uniformed personnel and 1,000 civilian employees and contractors on Hansdeltanian soil, except when requested by the Federal Union Department of Defense.
The Japanese Republic may post no more than 300 combat aircraft and 100 noncombat aircraft on Hansdeltanian air bases, airfields, and airports except when requested by the Federal Union Department of Defense.
Japanese Republic uniformed personnel and civilian employees and contractors who commit crimes outside the premises of the installation they have been assigned to on Hansdeltanian soil will be tried in Hansdeltanian criminal courts under Federal Union law.

Representatives of the Japanese Republic Ministry of Defense and the Federal Union Department of Defense will review the FUJRSOFA for amendment if necessary for each non-standard renewal.
This Status of Forces Agreement supersedes all previous agreements.

The dry winds of late winter strengthen as winter turns to spring, in the Jezreel Valley. The valley runs from the interior of Levant, on the border of United Nukunromen, with the Yarmouk River at its northern end, going to the eastern coastline, ending with the Belus River opening to the Bennion Sea. The valley is sprawling with cities, forests, pastures, and grasslands.
Since ages long ago, people have lived in harmony with this valley. Bountiful crops, fertile land to start the prehistoric cities. Countless important peoples of this world have walked in the graces of this peaceful valley, from before and beyond Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. For as long as anyone can remember, disasters have plagued Levant, although this valley has been shielded from the forces of nature, and the wrath that comes with it. They are completely unknowing of what is to come.
At the edge of the Jerash Forest, sits a man looking deep into the Belus River. He intently watches as he guides the bait onto a hook, despite the birds sounding their tunes in the background, and crickets chirping away. Satisfied with the placing of his bait, he looks up, waiting for a tug. He calmly observes the meters high brush lining the grasslands 10-15 meters away, spanning across the Belus, birds gliding between the sides, effortlessly. Humming a soon to be forgotten tune, he looks at his camp. Although simple in design, a campfire pit at the center, a large tent besides it, a portable cooler by his chair, and his fishing gear, he is content with what he has set up. Besides the camp, an RV rests. While his father would disapprove, bringing relief right next to his secluded spot, he justifies bringing it just in case something were to happen. Justifying and reassuring himself, he gets lost in contemplation, until he starts to feel tugging. Realizing where he was, he looks at the fishing rod, dangling in his hands, and grips it tight. Reeling in his catch, he struggles to bring it in. Wrestling with the fish, he almost loses it until "Got'cha". Hanging in front of him is a small fish. He sighs and gently places it back into the water. He starts the process over. As day turns to dusk, dusk turns to night, he catches seven fish. Three too small, one just for fun. The last three, he starts peeling off the scales and skinning the fish. Putting two in the freezer, he leaves the last to cut up and poach, as he lights his match, starting the fire.
Enjoying his prize and catch, he finishes the small, but filling meal. He looks into the fire, then to the moon. Gazing, as if in some sort of trance, he nods off to sleep, almost as if the night sky and warm fire beckoned him to. As night went on, he woke up in a panic, as he felt something hot get near his hand. Looking to the fire, adrenaline coursing through his veins, he looks as the fire has gotten larger, enveloping his several trees on the other side of the camp. Looking around, he feels a strong nightly breeze shoot past him. Although not too strong, it is strong enough to send embers across the treetops and through the woods. In a rushed state, he hurries to his RV, starting it, and trying to call emergency services. But to his luck, the top right of his phone says "No Reception". Starting the RV, he drives crazily down the fireroad, and to an opening. Looking in the rearview mirror, he sees smoke billowing in the distance and an ominous glow from where he just was naught 10 minutes ago. Taking a breather, he reaches for his phone and tries to call emergency services again. Still "No Reception". He yells "FINE" at the top of his voice, and looks on Windward Maps. Looking for the closest town, he scrolls to his camping spot and follows the trail to where he guesstimates he is. Looking further to the east, he sees the town of Beisan. "25 minutes?!..... Fine. Just Great!". He resumes his journey, making it to Beisan just narrowly hitting countless trees along the way. Finally having reception, at the trailhead, he calls 102. Within minutes, the dispatcher is relayed the news, and where the fire started.
Back at the fire, it has just passed 45 minutes since it started. The inferno now has jumped across the river, headed straight towards half a dozen villages and small towns on each side of the fire. With no sign of stopping, nor any break in the foliage, nor wind, if left unchecked, it could quickly become a disaster.
Making the necessary calls, the dispatcher advises the local fire departments to be on alert, for a rapidly spreading wildfire...

In response to the Hansdeltanian Navy releasing the Alicorn-class submersible aviation cruiser. The Saintri Navy has a launch a public reveal of military tech it says is capable of sinking the ship. The Supreme General of Saintri Forces, SGen. Rapten Trengwa reveals equipment already used currently by the Saintri Military before calling the Alicorn-class a complete mistake and waste of money calling it "The staple of a failing Hansdeltanian Military industrial Complex."
