It isn't a legal requirement to join any of the departments, due to the departments not being legislated on, however it is very rarely done

Also, 2 Gigabytes is nothing nowadays. If 2 Gigabytes is seriously too large a program for you to install then you probably need to clear out your hard drive or buy a larger one. I own a number of games that are 50GB+.

What CoS was referring to when he said the region flourished was offsite activity, which is one of the measures for regional activity. The job of an entire department, Outreach, is to effectively recruit new citizens and encourage participation offsite, so I'd the region's offsite platforms (discord and the forums) are thriving, they've succeeded in their task. I'm assuming prior to discord (an era I wasn't around for) the region was more inactive offsite, and that the inclusion of a widely used platform like discord has helped to increase the activity of the citizenry.

Yet the citizenry only accounts for 1/4 of the TRR's residence. If you say discord numbers = percentage of population in discord, you're wrong. Over 40% of the people on the discord are not residing in the TRR currently. The only one effective at doing it's job whilst not excluding members due to hijack concerns are the forums, which are still somewhat disorganized.
I assume you don't live in america, or live in California or Illinois (or some other very liberal state)
Hard drives cost over $3000 in my state and you would probably only get 256 or 175 gigs

Uh the Citizenry is made up of 100 individuals, soooo yeah.

We'll never get a majority of the residency to apply for citizenship, because a majority of our residents are inactive or puppets of another player, who hasn't moved them out of the region.
Personally, I think that the forums are fairly well organised, everything is set out logically and in appropriate categories, better than other regions that's for sure. You can find what you're looking for in TRR, not so easy elsewhere.
Also, hijack concerns? You've lost me. Are you concerned about having your discord account stolen? Are you concerned about having your onsite Nation stolen? I'm not aware of Discord having security issues, although if you refuse to use a secure password or 2FA that's kinda on you, not discord.

You're correct, I'm not American, but either we're on about vastly different things or you're being scammed. Hard drives can vary in cost, but 3000 USD for 256 Gigabytes is quite frankly false, even for mobile devices which don't use traditional magnetic disk drives.

TRR has historically struggled to gain participation offsite due to the nature of the region. A lot of the people that are ejected here are ejected here for good reasons, and we're not about to let fascists into the citizenry, or are inactive, ejected from raids or clear outs in the feeders. 100 Citizens is a monumental milestone for the region, and to my understanding is a historic high. The majority of the residency simply doesn't care about the region enough to join us offsite. This is incredibly common in large regions. Many people are content to just sit in a region and answer issues, write factbooks or chat on the RMB.

I don't really know what to say to this. It costs $69 (nice) to get an 8 TB hard drive, online. Not everything has to be in person.

And for a good hard drive, it'd be like $55 for 2 TB. Plenty.

Well my state everything is overpriced. My town makes it even more overpriced (location)
But you just proved my point of consolidation. 1500 people (only 750 in the TRR) get consistent government updates and get to join the discussion.
The way everyone words things makes the TRR sound more feudalist.
If you're wondering, my computer cost $3600 (probably over $5000 today I bought it 4 years ago and trucks hate driving to my town)
If I lived in a different area stuff would probably cheaper but meh.
Edit: The reason we don't get large hard drives are because amazon is too lazy to deliver them because we're a 4.5 hour drive from the nearest warehouse and the shipping costs are way too high for it to be worth it.

Greeting TRR, following the April Culture Calander we now have a fun rmb event! If you wish to participate simply put your favorite joke in the rmb! (Following ns and rmb rules ofc). If you want to see what other fun things we have planned, please check out this dispatch here made by the epic culture officer.

Welcome to the TRR April Culture Calendar!

Like in the past, all of these events are open to those in any region and are optional in participation–just come do what you think is fun! If you have any questions, you can telegram me (Grea Rejectopia) or message me on Discord (Hailu#3271). And if you want to get involved in planning fun events like this or have event ideas, check out the LinkCulture Office or message me!

Today's Activity: Weekly Puzzle and Werewolf Wednesday!

We're continuing on with playing Werewolf on Wednesdays in the Discord and launching our next weekly puzzle: a cryptogram.

Cryptograms are basically coded passages where the true letters of the message were replaced by other letters. The goal is to search for patterns and crack which letters represent which so you can see what the real message is. Here is an example below.

The solution is: Style and structure are the essence of a book; great ideas are hogwash.

You'll have until next Wednesday to solve the puzzle and enter for a chance at a free Legendary card!

Special Events:

Earth Day - April 22nd

To celebrate Earth Day 2021, TRR will be going green in our WFE and all of our ROs will be sporting environment-focused flags! Residents are encouraged to decorate their nations similarly and enjoy a series of fun events lined up for the day.

  • For gameside, everyone is encouraged to share their favorite environment fun-facts on the RMB and chat about Earth Day!

  • On LinkDiscord, we'll be hosting a Theme Thursday (instead of Tuesday) focused on Earth Day in addition to a nature-themed Popmaster game. Popmaster is a popular song guessing game so brush up on your nature songs!

TRR's Birthday Bash - April 27th

Did you know The Rejected Realms turns 18 on the 27th!?!

We're going to have ourselves a Birthday Bash to celebrate our regional birthday and all residents are welcome to come party down both on LinkDiscord and gameside:

  • Expect some fun regional history trivia hosted on Discord at 7 PM EDT on the 27th, with Legendardy card rewards

  • A a S1 Crazy girl Trading Card Pull Event from 3 PM EDT to 5 PM EDT (19:00 - 21:00 UTC)

  • Help create our regional Spotify playlist by submitting your songs Linkhere

Events:

RMB Events

RMB Events are for our gameside friends to help generate RMB activity and positive discussion. These events could be anything from asking people to contribute their best fun fact to writing a one-sentence story together on the RMB.

RMB Events offer a lot of variety and will show up consistently throughout the month on both Mondays and Fridays. The staff member running them will announce them accordingly on the RMB and discord when they start one.

Theme Tuesday

On Tuesdays, a theme topic is set and we judge who can fit the theme best!

We have done this for a while on Discord - based on the theme, members of the Discord server change their nicknames and profile pictures to fit. At the end of the day, the Delegate and Officers consult with each other to decide whose picture and name they liked the best out of everyone who participated. Creativity is encouraged! You can join our Discord server here: Linkclick here!

We are also going to run a gameside version this month. You can change some aspect of your nation (flag, motto or pretitle) to fit a theme, and the Delegate and Officers will pick who they think fits the theme best. Make sure to mention my nation on the RMB (Grea Rejectopia) so I can see you are participating!

Winners of the Theme Tuesday get a free random epic trading card sent to a nation of their choice!

Werewolf Wednesdays & Weekly Puzzle Day

On Wednesdays, we'll be trying to encourage playing our beloved Discord game of Werewolf, which is a game of social deduction. Be sure to join our Discord (Linkclick here!) so you can play along and try to save the village!

Wednesdays will also be for the weekly puzzle for gameside. The weekly puzzle will be some kind of crossword, sudoku, cryptogram, etc that will be more of a long-term event for those who get tired of fast-paced events. You will have until the next Wednesday after it's released to complete the puzzle.

Puzzles will be released in this dispatch, and those who complete it and submit their completed work to me (either to Grea Rejectopia or via discord to Hailu#3271) will be put in a raffle for a free Legendary trading card! Don't spoil the answers for anyone else though!

Cryptograms are basically coded passages where the true letters of the message were replaced by other letters. The goal is to search for patterns and crack which letters represent which so you can see what the real message is. Here is an example below.

The solution is: Style and structure are the essence of a book; great ideas are hogwash.

Sudoku is a number puzzle wherein there is a 9x9 grid with 3x3 sub grids where the goal is to fill the digits in using 1 through 9 such that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 subgrids that compose the grid contain all of the digits from 1 to 9. Here is an example below.

Game Days

Game Days are going to be more relaxed days where you'll be invited to play IO type games or other various games depending on the event. Some of these will take place in the Linkdiscord but, if possible, they'll be advertised for our gameside friends to participate!

Hopefully, the game will rotate to be something different every time, however, there are some player favorites that will return regularly!

Some games you might see frequently:

Linkhttps://tetr.io/ has become increasingly popular across NS, offering Tetris competitive play and multiplayer modes where you play against your friends.

It's quite literally Tetris online, with options to try to screw your friends over and prove you're a Tetris master!

Linkhttps://skribbl.io/ is an ever-loved drawing and guessing game where you attempt to determine the word that the player is drawing.

When it's your turn to draw, you will have to choose a word from three options and visualize that word in 80 seconds, alternatively when somebody else is drawing you have to type your guess into the chat to gain points, be quick, the earlier you guess a word the more points you get!

Linkhttp://slither.io/ has come back into popularity after a few years and offers some fun distraction while you try to get the largest score possible!
