Foreword Welcome to the 46th Edition of The North Pacific Vision Song Contest!
I would like to start by thanking Ihese for hosting a wonderful show last edition! I have no idea how I am going to top the quality of that edition (I probably will not be able to) . I will try my best though, I can promise you that! I also still have not fully comprehended that the song Wonderwall by Oasis won. It came as a very exciting surprise!
But let's not get caught in the past edition! It is time to look forward to this edition, hosted in the Skaraborgian major city Lidköping for the second time in TNPV's history. The slogan will be "Where words fail, music speaks". It is a quote by the famous Danish author H.C. Andersen and a quote that has been a part of my life. As someone who regularly plays the piano, I do agree that music can express emotions words cannot. That is one of the main reasons I participate in TNPV. I love sharing music with others that expresses emotions and feelings to me. And it is so fascinating to see how different, music speaks to us and the variety of genres that exist in the contest.
Before I close this opening address I would like to take a moment to explain what TNPV is. TNPV is a music competition based on Eurovision where you vote for your favourite songs! Basically, you send a song, listen to everyone else's songs, rank your top 13 songs and wait for the host to announce the winner of the contest! For information on how to participate, how to vote and the rules of the competition can be found further down in this dispatch. I am The Democratic Kingdom Of Skaraborg and will be your host this edition and you can come to me with any questions you have!
With that said, I encourage you to join this edition and share your taste of music with us. TNPV is a source for inspiration and entertainment. I wish you all the best of luck! Music speaks!

Tangent about my song entry in TNPV I typed on my phone I am currently submitting a song I hold dear to my heart called “The Milk Carton”, a song to which I’ve dedicated my heart and soul to remembering the lyrics about a year ago by a song artist who I view as so underrated, omg! I'm gonna go on a tangent about this. The song is so fun and exciting, from all its unique instrumentation, its constant change in tempo, vocals, and especially lyrics, some parts being incredibly different, repeating lyrics, or lyrics that are slightly altered which heavily changed its meaning.
The story the lyrics tell as well, it seems innocent enough like some fairytales, and their exterior story seems pretty normal then it slowly shows how things in the story aren't right, and the main character, a lost cat who ran away from home encounters some mildly disturbing things. The lyrics also play a significant role through how it often ties things back to things one would often see at home like cartoons, cereal boxes with depictions of animal mascots, and especially, milk cartons, and the missing people faces that would sometimes be displayed on them, hence the song name and it could also be a deeper allegory or metaphor, which I honestly think is super cool.
The song and the way its composition complement each other to set up a general tone, theme, and story just really works to drag me in every time I listen to it lol. This song is definitely a huge favorite of mine, and that’s why I wanted to enter it into this TNPV, not because I would win with it, I feel like it may be a little more subjective, but I really enjoy the song
