A thorn in the Eagle’s claw, standing on their Island in Egotistical Superiority and basking in the sun of hatred. Why do we allow one country to stand for darkness in a sea of Hope?”

Stephan Wright, one of the main advocates for the Declaration-bill, stood behind an amber-brown podium, below and in front of him, spread evenly across the massive room of Representatives in their similar dark-oak desks. There was an odd, tense feeling within the House of Representatives Chamber; but with good reason. For the four hours, dozens of Representatives had taken the podium to voice their support or condemning the notion of war. Stephan gripped the corners of the Podium, the corners digging into his hand. His palms were sweaty and his glasses slightly foggy. For the past thirty minutes it had been non-stop talking by Stephan in support for the Bill that would form into a formal Declaration of War against the Southern Menace. Stephan looked at the clock in the corner of the room, there was about 30 minutes left in the Assembly before it would be voted upon.

Stephan returned to his seat with a small thump, he arranged the stack of papers he brought with him for his speech on one side and received a pat on the back from one of his Party Mates. He looked back and returned the gesture with a nice smile. Before he knew it, half an hour and passed and it was time to decide the fate of Yorkburo and Gothgraff and Lilium.

The Speaker of the House resumed his placement after a short five-minute recess. Walking up to the podium he put his glasses back on and spoke into the mic. “Everyone in favor of the Declaration of War against Gothgraff and Lilium please select ’aye’ and those opposed please select ’nay’ into your devices.” The next few minutes were tense as Representatives slowly inserted answers into the Calculating Machine were the tally was being taken. People picked at their skin and bit their fingernails as the Tally’s ticked up. 5-0… 11-5… 27-18… 45-39… 52-41. The Declaration had been approved by the House and would be sent to the President for his Second Approval before the onslaught would begin.

However, already knowing that the President would give his approval, the message for an Immediate Mobilization of the rest of the Yorkburo Forces had been sent out. Still having a solid 100k men in the field and automatically activated during peacetime, the military infrastructure was already prepped for the upcoming mass formation of forces. Before the months end, Yorkburan Forces would be storming Gothilum Beaches. But for now, it was time to ready the forces.
