With 1st and 3rd army dug Into the forest they let lose into advance elements of the territorial army. However they would not just face these scouts, with position marked British 2nd army ready there feild guns and howitzers then let loose! Shells battered the feilds as territorial army moved forword towards the forest as the curtain of shells gave the men cover, supported by there light crusader tanks. Yemets challengers roared to life! There powerful guns turned many crusader tanks to smoldering wrecks, machine guns licked the feilds with deadly lead. Then 4th artillery began to rain death into British lines. It was quickly turning into a raging melee of hate! Cries of "republic" and "king" bleed together as bayonets clashed. At last as the days fighting grew long and sun reached its highest peak it seem the British would break with out further support. Moving slowly, 100 shapes forward from the horizon across the feilds they came. A shot raced from one of yemets challanger, it hit this new comers turret. Yet the churchill tank did not stop, its turret turned slowly toward the challanger, another shot lanced out from tree line impacting the body of the British tank, to no effect. The heavy churchill tank returned fire its gun was much more powerful the challanger bust into flame as side armour was rendered to scrap. With the arrival of the 2nd army, 2 hours since battle began started the end of yemets first line of defense the heavy tanks and discipline infantry ground forword leaving no trench un-swept, no tank left standing and no position unclaimed! Point 225 where feilds of yemet met a great forest was falling if there higher command did not react soon there front line would snap!
Stern looked at his maps, the intelligence office was wrong again. Point 225 was suppose to be lightly defended, even as new scout elements gave him a more rich imagine of the battlefield already bombers where hitting his staging grounds, supply points laid in ruin. This had delayed 2nd amry movements yet secondary systems sprang to life. Stern had been playing for a while and he wouldn't be found wanting. As ground to air missles filled the sky with metal further waves of vulcan bombers would find there attacks on both the front line, rear position and all in between would find further and further AA batteries waiting for yemets aircraft. As the 2nd army artillery bombardment slackened he walked Dover to there command tent and handed them there next set of targets, "point 126, there artillery are proving problematic, get there attention" soon the guns of the second army would roar to laugh once more...
As commanders on the ground changed and redirected forces to the front line on the fly, it was clear that other than for hitting large concentrations of reinforcements that where moving towards point 225 they would be use less until the fronts stabilized into more clear fighting. However the RAF still had plenty of work to do, as 74 gladiator intercepted vulcan bombers and there escorts a further 156 drew blood in the sky throwing themselves towards eurofighters of yemet, trying to wrestle control of the skies. Even then 30 gladiator fighters escorting 100 thunderbolt close air support units launched attacks against in trench artillery of yemet trying to spread thin the yemets airforce. It was becoming clear by 1pm that neither side could claim dominance but losses on both sides became to climb the only true victor would be death...
Hailfax had at last ensured himself of immediate submarine attack notice what at first was dismissed as a glitch a fluke. His radar system gave a dozen blips approaching the fleet which the operator said was "impossible! We would have spotted them earlier sir!" Admrial Hailfax eyes narrowed, he seen this once before when kamikaze attacks, he knew that yemets crew werent suicidal yet he knew what these errors ment. "Lauch our fighter escorts, they coming with most likely with bombers, maybe even torpedo planes prepare for evasive maneuvers!" The fleet was soon spreading out, already 80 fighters had launched from there decks as a single destroyer radio in a dozen mysterious blip that seemed to phase in and out of there radar...
This part of the front was quite, overhead eurofighters and gladiators duels raced up and down the front. The marsh land made majority of the area un fit for combat yet yemet still kept up patrol, a thick mist had rolled in that moring and seemed unable to be shaken. Then the first patrol around about 7 in the moring reported feeling like they where being watched, higher command diverted some fresh troops, at 1 pm the first patrol failed to report back on time, and yet the mist remained. High command was informed yet this was only the beginning of stern master plan...
Our losses for either side will be decide on together as I only think it is fair. In the forest I would suggest loss of a ratio of 2 to 1. So about 8 heavy tanks 28 light tanks, 1200 territorial men and 200 men from my second army. For you old chap 16 challanger tanks (10 mk 1 6 mk 2) and 600 to 700 of your infantry. In the air war though your eurofighters are more advance than my gladiator fighters I would suggest a loss ratio of 3 to 2. As I do outnumber you and your older models arent as good as my gladiators. So if I lose around 70 fighters for around 45 of your fighters. If you lose 1 or 2 Vulcan bomber I will lose around about 10 thunderbolt close air support as they would get ripped arpart by your euro fighters and ground based defense. In sea we havent fought yet so no losses. Last but not least the artillery crews and my staging area losses. If you lose 100 men in artillery strikes and air assult, I will lose 250 men in your bombardment at the start of the day and your air raids. If you have any changes just telegram me or put it and end of the rp like I did old chap. Good luck and have fun fighting!
