The realm of Daki has decided, after much consideration, to allow embassies to be established inside the capital city. There are two conditions, 1) that ambassadors are not allowed to report on the situation inside the isolated nation, and 2) that all ambassadors be nonhuman. We await your representatives!

The governments of Alunya and A1unya shall decline your offer. It is essential that staff of diplomatic missions report to their home governments their unimpeded assessment of conditions within the nations to which they are posted, so that those governments can make informed decisions regarding relations between the respective nations. Of lesser importance is the fact that all our qualified diplomatic staff are humans.

Following the declaration on mobilization, East supple lundian forces began moving on all fronts, toward both West supple lundian and Nurth supple lundian potions. From Jibjab and Disappointment Island, Supple forces began crossing the famous Supple straight, only 6.9 miles at its widest, into Nurth Supple Lund. As they had warned, Supple cruisers began saturating the area with missiles, and strike fighters began bombing keep positions. Because the distance was so short, ESL forces were able to cross in droves. Boats began ferrying soldiers to and fro, and helicopters were in easy landing distance. The underground train lines that linked the two nations were mostly intact, and had been commandeered by ESL forces, allowing them rapid transit right underneath the enemies feet.

Despite the heroic resistance of the NSL forces, they were simply to few and far between to stem the ESL onslaught. Despite this, most ESL forces held NSL in fairly high esteem, and would prefer not to kill them if necessary. Propaganda pamphlets were dropped all overt the territory, playing on the NSL love of East Supple Lundian memes. They urged them to surrender, and promised good treatment and dank memes for all who went over to the ESL side. Lizard Sqaud! began hijacking website and filled them with Pro-ESL messages, spreading disinformation wherever possible. Massive billboards were erected, showcasing the freshest memes ESL had to offer, along with giant speakers imploring NSL forces to just give up and share in the dankness

Progress was fairly rapid, but as the ESL forces moved all up and down the coast, they began to slow down as they reached the narrowest part of the straight side territory. It would be difficult to breakout into NSL their, so a second detachment was sent via water to invade what ESL called "Krab Bay". Notable for its two distinct cliffs that jutted out into the water, it was hoped the ESL forces could breakout into NSL before anyone noticed. But they were much to late, and after taking heavy causalities just to take the area, were much to weak to continue advancing.

It soon became apparent that heavy munitions would be needed to continue. The Pride of ESL was en route from Havergonia, but would take several days to reach Supple waters. Despite fairly heavy bombing, it was making a rather negligible impact the farther inland they went. Thus, construction on missile launchers immediately began, although it would take weeks if not months for them to be completed. Once they were finished, they would be able to target both NSL and WSL positions.

As Supple forces became bogged down in NSL, thousands upon thousands more were headed for the canal, along with their naval escort...

Yet the one wildcard remained in Emmerquet. Despite refusing to vacate their positions, Supple forces had not fired on any WSL positions or soldiers, not even Emmerquetis. It soon became apparent why, as the government of ESL made an interesting offer: in exchange for aid and support, ESL would officially recognize Emmerquet as a fully sovereign, independent nation! Only time would tell if they would take them up on the offer...

Things Fall Apart- Pt. 2

Presidential Bunker

"Sir, the advance of the enemy is-"

"Don't call them that, Al. We might be fighting them now, but they are still our brothers."
President Cinder rebuffed. General Pickens sighed and continued.

"We are fighting them, though. They are killing our boys, and we are killing there's. We are at war, Mr. President. Until you realize that, I'm going to continue calling the shots around here."

President Cinder sighed.

"Of course, of course. So, General, what do you propose we do?"

General Pickens smirked and leaned back in his chair.

"Well, Mr. President, first and fore most we need to Ration food and fuel. Civilian manufacturing needs to hop over into military, now. If they don't we take it by force. I'm ordering The National Guard to begin to set up rationing stations in major cities. I also think that we can use this invasion as a propaganda tool. With your permission, I'm sure that we can make some stuff up to get the people rallying. As for the front line, it seems to have stagnated a bit. If we can hold them, we can break their will. Most of the military is there, even the Navy. We can't win anything against the East on the sea. So, me and the other generals and admirals have the ships being decommissioned and used to build more aircraft and tanks."

President Cinder sighed, and nodded in approval. Be next week after that, in shipyards across the nation destroyers and frigates were decommissioned. On the TV, Radio, and on posters around cities and towns were propaganda pieces referring to the invasion defense as "The Duty of Every man and Woman." They also demonized the new Prime Memester, calling Him a Fascist who only wants to grow his evil empire. Rationing stations popped up everywhere, where food and fuel was dolled out. The well known Factory for Convergence Industrial was taken over by force, some members of the military killing and wounding staff who tried to resist. This was sweeper under the rug, of course in the attempt to "keep morale high during these trying times." Propaganda began to dismiss the incident, but the result was the same. Military occupation of industrial zones went on across the nation.

On the front line, however, NSL forces were suffering. They had managed to slow the advance of the East, and were now launching hit and run raids into the supply lines of the enemy at night. Defections happened every day, civilian and military alike. Dogfights in the sky were a common occurrence, but not something that could be kept up with loss wise. The NSL forces, 50 miles behind the lines began to construct trenches and bunkers, as a fallback point for the military. Mostly it was Naval Persons, sent to the front line when their ships were decomissioned. Congress was outraged to learn of the sidestepping of them, but it didn't matter. A salary increase kept them quiet and complacent.

They had disguised themselves in time. Haika did her best to relax, calming her startled fur and letting out a deep breath as the bushes rustled and the witch's playthings giggled insensibly. The humsns blanched, they took a step back as the dolls approach, their horribly pallid skin tinged with red from the bloody sky. Three of them, two wearing what appeared to be a mocking version of a soldiers uniform, from a long-gone era, and a third that resembled a young girl. They approached with smiles that would split their pallid face, wide staring eyes fixated on the humans with mockery intent in them. Painted eyes and skeleton-thin arms reached forward, grasping and pulling at their clothes with cold and clammy hands. They giggle and babble, with disjointed childlike motions they play with canvas, poking at their eyes and faces. Haika sighed and waved her hands to try to shoo off the witch's toys.

With their wide smiles and dead eyes they ignore her, babbling in the witch's script. The dolls pull away, discussing among themselves something. There was a spite of cruel laughter, and they ran off, Haika watching them go with dazed amazement in her eyes.

"They actually fell for it." She whispered, then shook her head. Suspicion glinted in her eyes, and she turned to face the pale-faced soldiers. "No. I don't think they did. Who are you? What are you doing in this nightmare?!"

Haika's hands tremble, causing her long brown dress to shake. Her eyes slowly fill with fear, and she steps back, cutting off any reply the soldiers might give. "This is another trick isn't it? I'm not falling for it! I know the witch, she would never leave something like you without a scratch. She would have torn you to pieces and left one alive as a plaything! Her realm is filled with sorrow and her soul with a vicious and spiteful hate. Why would her minions merely come and go?!" On the verge of running, a ripple of laughter went through the twisted forest, and she freezed, her eyes darted from the trees to the soldiers in a panic.

Operation Jackhammer

The Agents stood still, not knowing what they should do. They watch the woman for direction. She had survived here, so it must be possible. They just had to figure out what she was doing. Wilson spoke softly.

"Listen, I don't know what you mean by witch. We came from a nation across the Ocean, a land of freedom and Democracy to see what was going on over here. We don't want to hurt you, we simply want your help so that we can get back to our land. There isn't a need to panic."

He then shut up as the laughter haunted his and his men's ears. He stood still, his eyes peering out of the parachute at the woman, eyes or desperation. They had no defense, no hope to survive against these things unless helped. They could only hope she would take pity on them and assist. Though Wilson talked calm, he was panicking on the inside. His eyes showed it, of course there wasn't anything otherwise facially to see that wasn't blocked by the parachute he had used to conceal his identity.
