The assemblian chess federation wrote:The ACF Rating Database has been updated to include games from the ACF Constitution Day Classic, and a small number of Assemblian vs. Assemblian games from the Rainbow Gala.
by The assemblian chess federation
Notes Any game in an ACF-rated event with more than 10 minutes on each clock over a typical 60-move game will be counted towards the ACF Classical/Rapid Rating. Typically, though, the ACF will recommend at least 15 minutes per clock for ACF-rated games. This is the ACF's primary time control. Correspondence time controls, also known as Daily time controls, are not permitted for ACF tournament play.
Ratings suffixed with a "P" are Provisional, i.e. the player in question has less than 10 games of rated ACF play. The first 10 games of a new player in the database will be rated with a K-Factor of 40, as opposed to the typical 20.
New players will be given a "dummy" result of a 1500 Draw to set an initial rating of 1500. This will not be included in the 10 games necessary to gain a full (i.e. not provisional) rating.
ACF ratings should not be compared to IRL chess ratings due to the far smaller pool of players involved.
Players may be removed from the rating list if they have been CTE for at least 6 months, or if they have not played an ACF-rated game across a full ACF season. ACF seasons start with the TCR Memorial and run from November to November.
ACF Ratings are "Live", meaning ratings are updated as soon as possible after a game ends (in a tournament setting, this will be at the end of each round), rather than on a monthly basis.
