Because the numbers here have gone down, I am considering doing another mass telegram of recruiting new members and see if we can get more nations involved. I apologize for the silence. The constitution is almost finished and should be posted in a week/week and a half. We will be holding a regional referendum on making this constitution official to the region. | The United Socialist States of Berlania | So I know it's been almost 60 days since I last spoke about the constitution. I apologize for such a massive delay. To tell you the truth, it is very hard to stay motivated, but I think the worst part about that is that the longer I went without working on the final draft, the more guilt I felt for not fulfilling my promise and, in turn, the more un-motivated I became. There were moments when I even considered just abandoning the idea all together. However, I am pleased to announce that the draft is finally done. All that is missing is to make a BBcode version of the draft and then submit it. That's a process that's probably going to take at least an hour for me since I try my best to format it as nice as possible. It is very late at night where I am writing this, so I will work on changing it to BBcode tomorrow and it should be up before the evening. It is not a perfect constitution as a person like myself with little background in politics/law is not going to avoid every potential loophole. BUT, I feel like that pushes us to improve as we go. Hopefully someone will say "well this article leaves an open door for all these problems..." and we address it and fix it. Although NS is hobby for me, I'm very happy I was able to get this done. Thank you all for your patience. P.S. As promised before, this draft will be put to vote. I'll post it tomorrow, and then I'll open the polls this Monday and they will close the following Monday. | |

You can also find it on the top of the region's page as a pinned dispatch. Tomorrow, Monday, I will set up a poll for everyone in the region to vot FOR or AGAINST the constitution. The poll will run for a whole week, giving everyone time to look over the draft and decide. | |
