As the ODF makes deccent sized gains across the border, the mountainous terrain did prove to be an issue. With these advances, mountaineer units within Kasos and Volinovia are called to the mainland for a potentially harsh fight. But until they showed up, they were told to hold out and keep contesting the area. Eventually, drones got around to laying down much needed air support, using the heat signature from Carlfullian forces in order to strike them with pinpoint accuracy, as well as point out their positions to ground forces. With countinued aerial cover, infantry would soon get over the hurdles that came with mountain warfare, and venture far into the mountains along the roads, watching forridges and potential ambush points. It was only a matter of time before the real challenge for them was to appear, and everyone was left on edge. In the confines of bullet resistant glass turrets, as well as larger IFVs, everyone was awaiting an ambush through their drive, but the OAF wouldn’t let it happen. UAVs flew far ahead of the soldiers as they treked the mountains, playing the role of an Early Warning system, and a close air support one.

Continuing the fight deepier into enemy territory, Orius fighters strapped to the teeth with heavyweight explosives were called in to destroy the supply lines deep within the mountain range, maintaining radio silence, and flying high enough to avoid detection. In some cases, pilots even shut off their radar before dropping off explosives, only turning them back on once their bombing run is complete.

Mixed bags of standard, modern fighters as well as older, more dogfighting capable jets patrolled Carlfullian airspace. Warned on the possibility of coming into the crosshairs of airships, pilots were warned to keep their distance, even those in the OAF’s older fighters. Instead, pilots were armed with Sarkosa’s most modern BVR Air to Air missile: The J-160 Lancet.

Keeping in mind that these airships could have potential escorts, squadrons of fighters spread out as wide as they could, being ready to fire back at a moment’s notice.

On the ground, the situation surrounding Fort Brampton was a blatant siege. However, there was no point in allowing it to be a major disruption within the advance. Under the cover of rocket fire from towed, mobile rocket batteries, the 250,000 men force was split into three battlegroups, with two taking on the flanks while the remaining one pushed forward as usual. Once the rockets made their hits, the soldiers blitzed towards the fort as tanks fired their 140mm HESH shells at fortifications, as well as vehicles that could be spotted in the area, light or heavy.

IFVs fired their own racks of ammo as they advanced on the fort alongside their armored escorts, dropping enemy infantry like flies whenever the opportunity was presented. Once infantry were dismounted, grenades were fired into any open space containing infantry, and bullets were sent back and forth between them and the enemy.

Along other areas of the front, artillery continued roaring towards areas in which the Carlfullians focused on stabilizing. Following behind them shortly after would be infantry engaging in firefights with the stunned enemy forces, taking advantage of their armored cover as well.

At sea, submarines engage in a partial retreat as they flee back to drydocks in the far east. After brief repairs and rearming, they were sent right back out into Carlfullian waters, taking on functional warships and drydocks one bombardment at a time. To deal with sub hunters, VTOLs are dispatched to the skies in order to prey on these “hunters” trying to poach Sarkosan ZUs. Once they were in their line of sight, bombardments of missiles and gunfire would be unleashed on them before the jets quickly retreated to avoid AA fire. After their runs were complete, they would follow the submarines on their ship hunting journey, creating a path of expensive damages and decimation to the Carlfullian Navy.
