"Yes papa."

Soon they're walking down the street hand in hand, with the doll still trailing in the dirt.

The street is calm for now. Outside of the urbanization, the nearest diner is named "Wilkin's Diner".

The Emerald School is a school in Aska Falls, a community of Irakot, Neo Afro Caribbean Order. The academy comprises of an elementary school, an intermediate school, and an upper school. The school's motto is "Inspiring our Future by Leading with Temperance". The school was given the invitation to attend the Climate Summit in Abadong on behalf of the diplomatic delegation of the Neo Afro Caribbean Order. Led by Mr. Jonathan Shulman, this delegation comprises of fifteen students. The delegation flew in on Cathay Athena and arrived on 19 October. They are taking notes to put back in the form of a slideshow presentation in which they will present to their classmates in the upper school.

RECENT EVENTS - MARIA SUMMIT
-

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

Students from the Emerald School were at the international terminal of Irakot International Airport. They were comprised of fifteen students, one chaperone, and a teacher. A teacher going by the name of Mr. Shulman waited at the terminal with his students that he was taking to the Climate Summit. They had each checked in their bags for the flight to Abadong. They had their backpacks on and they were ready to board the airliner first. Mr. Shulman led the charge to board the plane and they all followed suit. Carson looked at the tunnel that seemed so familiar to him. Boarding the Cathay Athena Airliner felt so normal, but this time was different. He was not on vacation this time. He was in for a Climate Summit with his class.

They found their rows of seats in the middle of the plane and the delegation took their seats. Mr. Shulman stood up from his seat and went around the two rows the delegation was in to collect everyone's passport. They waited around their seats as they turned on the screens in front of them. Carson looked at Evan before turning back. Then, he turned towards Eshi. He turned back to his screen as he waited for the PA to go on.

"Welcome to Cathay Athena flight 2179 to Dongdingxing. The flight duration will be around 7 hours, so get comfortable. Anyway, this is a Boeing 767-400. We are equipped with 6 flight attendants. The pilot and co-pilot for today are Erik Springer, and Kolby Jones. The 6 flight attendants for today are Hanna Eminski, Reya Thomas, Amanda Jones, Alyssa Tayfu, Jack Wagner, and Thaii Gondala. In the unlikely event of a water or emergency landing, please locate the nearest exits that the flight attendants are pointing out, and no, they aren't trying to make you tell them how good-looking they are. Please note that it may be behind you. Now, let's buckle those belts unless you are my ex-wife and her divorce attorney. If you are traveling with small children, we're sorry. If you are traveling with 2, pick the one that you think will have a more bright future. Remember to help yourself before anyone else in this unlikely event because we can be very selfish here. The lavatories are equipped with smoke detectors, so don’t smoke. Any tampering with the detectors will result in a fine adding on to your AirFare. Basically, do what we say and nobody gets hurt. Now, we are coming through the cabin serving pre-flight drinks, and towels. Please, switch your phone into airplane mode, and put away computers. Please stow your crack in the overhead compartment until we land in Dongdingxing. I am Adam Wright, and if there is anything that we can do to help, please let us know... As soon as we reach Dongdingxing. Welcome aboard."

The rest of the passengers bound for Dongdingxing boarded the plane shortly after. The safety video played while the plane taxied out of Gate A7. Before anyone knew it, the plane was off the ground and into the air. The beverage and foodservice started going around as soon as the plane reached around an altitude of 10,000 feet. The crew all fell asleep as the cabin lights dimmed.

The plane flew for hours. The flight seemed endless for Carson who just seemed eager to play music. However, on the PA, the pilot announced that they were now in Dongdingxing area and they were about to land shortly. The boy smiled and laughed. He shook awake his neighbor and shouted softly, “We’re in Abadong!” The plane landed around fifteen minutes later. Music played as they taxied to the gate. “So come on, let it go. Just let it be. Why don't you be you, and I'll be me. Everything that's broke. Leave it to the breeze. Let the ashes fall. Forget about me. Come on, let it go. Just let it be. Why don't you be you, and I'll be me” the music caused the student delegation to dance in their seats. When the plane came to a complete stop, the student delegation got off the plane first to the applause of many on the plane.

They grabbed their personal belongings and made their way to Customs. It was really easy. They just walked from the gate, up an escalator, and down a hall, and there was a Visa scanner. They scanned and walked to the baggage claim where they picked up bags. They made their way out to their bus that would take them to their hotel right away. The bus picked them up in a parking lot across the street that they crossed as a group. Their baggage were unloaded under the bus, and they made their way to the hotel where the other delegations would be.

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

The bus hauled into the parking lot of the hotel. Onboard, the student delegation waited with their stuff in the overhead lockers. The bus was quiet as students were all either on their phones or resting up for the summit. The downtown area was a beautiful sight. Mr. Shulman looked at the students on the bus among a few other diplomats. He made sure he had everyone's passport in hand and he turned his attention back to his computer. Then, the bus pulled into the parking lot of the hotel. Across the circle that the hotels lied on was another hotel. The two hotels were around the same size and each had corresponding parking lots and storefronts. The bus parked and the diplomats, as well as the student delegation, departed the bus. The delegation lined up in front of Mr. Shulman.

"So, here is our plan of attack," he said, "We plan on arriving into the hotel of the summit in around fifteen minutes, but it is your job to decipher the room arrangements." The group nodded as they entered their hotel. Carson looked straight at his good friend, Bruno. They each agreed towards each other's roommate requests and got their keys. Each pair made their way to the elevator and went up to the fifteenth floor where their rooms were located and dropped off their luggage. They each grabbed hold of their keys once more and went back down the elevator to the first floor and exited their hotel and made their way to the hotel where the Climate Summit would be held.

They went through the doors and went up the escalator and into the reception corridor where there were food and drinks. They went to a table and received their nametags that had their name, grade, and the school they were representing. Then, they walked along the corridor. Bruno, Carson, and Nano walked in front of the sign that said "Maria Summit" and took numerous pictures of the sign alone before going to the balcony where the tables were. They also checked out the restroom before meeting back up with Mr. Shulman. They gathered around the sign to take a few group pictures. "Remember, if you can't see the camera..." Mr. Shulman began, the class smiled and finished the sentence, "The camera can't see you," they each said. They took many pictures before they lined up to the door to the debate hall. When they were given the authorization to go inside, they found the seats in the back where they would sit. A few of the tenth graders went around each table plundering candy from the crates that were laid out. Then, they stuck their prize in Nano's backpack before retreating to their seats waiting for the summit to begin.

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

The doors opened right back up. The delegation each made their way out. Several notes had been taken, but today was not as important as other days to this summit. Each of the student delegation members walked into the elevator led by Mr. Shulman. He counted seven on the elevator and the other seven waited for the other one. Carson just looked around the floor as he was on the second floor where the summit was being held. Once the elevator returned, the chaperone allowed the rest of the members of the Emerald School's delegation to board the elevator. She then got on board after the last person got on. The elevator kept going down for what felt like an eternity. Carson looked at the marble tile on the elevator. It hadn't changed much from the floor they were on. He let out a modest yawn and the elevator touched ground level. The doors opened and they each got out of the elevator one-by-one. Mr. Shulman counted his students off before he gave the thumbs up for the chaperone to lead the delegation to their hotel across the road.

They opened the doors, and immediately, the night breeze touched each of them. Carson accompanied his friend Alexcia who appeared to be accentuated. "We just got this assignment for Chemistry that is due tomorrow, well today technically, and I can't miss it," she said. Carson nodded his head as they kept walking. "You might want to set that down until we retreat back to our rooms for the night," he suggested. Alexcia recognized the suggestion and put her laptop aside. It was a cool night in downtown Dongdingxing and the breeze was met with the air. The moon was full and the glass on both of the hotels gleamed in the moonlight. They each walked through the doors of the hotel and took their seats in the lobby of the hotel. They waited for around a minute, and Mr. Shulman walked through the door entering the hotel.

"So, this will be our meeting spot for the week we are here. We will usually meet in this spot after each day of the summit before we retire for the night," he stated.

The rest of the group nodded. They each were tired. Mr. Shulman continued. "Today was a long day, the hardest of them all as it was a travel day. We got the gist of how this conference will operate for the next week or so, so we don't have much to talk about. We will talk about everything that we learned on the matter of this climate summit from today and tomorrow when we meet here tomorrow night. You all are free to retire. We need everyone in their rooms by ten and lights out by ten-thirty. Remember, wake-up-call is at six-fifty and breakfast must be eaten by eight. We meet at these doors by eight-ten. You're free to disperse," he said. The group said goodnight to the chaperone and Mr. Shulman and each made their way to the elevator. Carson and Bruno discussed what the situation in the morning would be like in terms of hygiene. They both shrugged and agreed to save it for the morning. They walked towards the elevator and waited for the second one to be ready.

Once they boarded the elevator, they took a look out of the window that showed the backdrop of the city. The floor was marble tiled and it made a sound whenever someone would walk on it. Carson pulled out his phone and texted his mom. Once they got off on their floor, they were more exhausted. They found their room and they didn't bother changing. They each packed their backpacks for tomorrow, dragged their luggage to their individual beds, plugged in their phones, opened the window, and fell back their personal beds. The mattresses were delicate and relaxing. Carson turned off his lamp and Bruno followed suit. They put their heads back onto their pillows and drifted off to sleep. Day one of the Climate Summit was in the books.

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

RIIIIING!!! The telephone rang at a marking of six-fifty. Carson struggled to lift his body from his mattress. He put his legs down on the left-hand facet of the rack and pushed his hand on his side of the nightstand. Bruno awoke from his rack and shook out his hair. Carson picked up the phone as it was more confined to his bed. "Hello, it is the hotel service, this is your wake-up call," the automated voice repeated multiple times. He put the phone down and quickly got dressed and ready for the day. He put on his nametag covering his shirt and grabbed his phone, backpack, and his keycard. He quickly reported to Bruno, "Hey, man. We will meet at a table with the rest of our classmates. I will signal for you when we see you." Bruno nodded and proceeded to get ready for the day.

Carson made his way to the elevator where he met up with Claire, Alexcia, and Yasmina. He quickly said hello to each of them and they made their way down the elevator to check in with Mr. Shulman. Carson looked at the sunrise outside the elevator's window and turned his gaze to the twin hotel across the way. He smiled and snapped an instantaneous photograph of the gaze from the sun onto the hotel. "So, we are meeting in the lobby, right?" Carson urged nobody in particular. Each of the girls on the elevator looked at each other as if asking for answers and they looked at Carson. They both shrugged and laughed it off. When the elevator hit the floor of the lobby, they each exited one-by-one. Right when they got off, there was Eshi. She was as confused as everyone else. "I think we meet in the lobby?" Carson replied.

They made their way down and they immediately spotted Mr. Shulman. He took their names down on a piece of lined paper and they made their way up to the dining hall. A buffet was set out ready for food to be picked up. Quickly and swiftly, the group picked up their breakfast and made a table for their delegation. Classmates came one-by-one until the seats were filled. Non-diplomatic conversations took place between the fifteen students as if they were not even on this trip for a conference. Mr. Shulman laughed at the fact that they were able to keep the fact that they were still just students in their minds even though they were on this important diplomatic summit committee for the Neo Afro Caribbean Order. They made their way down to the lobby and they exited the door as quick as they arrived.

The morning breeze fell across each and every one of them as they crossed the circle containing both hotels. This walk was nos routine to all of them. They moved open the door and they made their way to the elevator. They took two trips up the elevator and all met up in the corridor near the conference room. They snuck their way in and found their seats in the back just as Hajira was just about to speak. "...we have come to the most difficult part of the debate. What shall we, nations who have come to discuss this pressing issue, do to combat this? This conference is here not merely to discuss the issue, bit to commit to solutions and protocols for the future. Now, what do you, leaders of Valsora, have to suggest that all signatories of the protocol formed here should do?" The delegation took out notebooks and began to dock down several notes, but Carson had a suggestion and raised his hand as a request to speak.

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

Carson stared right back at her. He was given a microphone and asked his question. "Ma'am, I have a suggestion on what to do on this issue. I suggest that we plan to compose a treaty to limit the amount of CO2 that nations release into our atmosphere as well as limiting the number of fossil fuels being burnt in our world to slow down the climate change," he began, "I feel that since we burn this many fossil fuels as a nation, we allow Carbon Dioxide to be released, and the way to limit this is to limit the root cause which is fossil fuels. I'm sorry if I interrupted this summit," he said before he backed down. His classmates patted his back to cheer up as the disappointment on his face after asking the question was evident. Carson pulled out his notebook to take notes.

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

They waited in the back of the room looking for objections. Each member of the delegation was working with their notepads. Carson nodded along as Hjira started to ask for objections. "Thirdly, a commitment to electric transportation, cleaner maritime transport, and clean power. This involves a commitment to achieve 75% clean power by 30 years of the ratification of this protocol, and a commitment to having at least 50% of vehicles be electric powered by 20 years. Lastly, a commitment to preserving forests and carbon negative areas such as woodlands. In blanket terms, every carbon negative area destroyed, must be replaced with the equivalent amount of carbon negative area elsewhere." He caught her gaze, but he disregarded it and went back to focusing on his notebook.

"Opstan best stan and has 0 emissions thanks to Operian Corp. excluding breathing,"
"No objections from ArenaC,"

But then, another man raised his hand. Carson believed that he was from the Nova-Columbian committee. It was a man distinguished as Milael. “How will this money sent to the international disaster relief efforts be handled? Will there be some sort of committee set up to receive and utilize it? If so, who will be represented.” The rest of the Neo Afro Caribbean Order delegation followed up that question with another question. Alexcia elevated her hand high in the air. "And may I question how we as Valsoran delegations will be able to enforce the regulations of electric transportation and 75% green power?"

Carson rose from his seat and made his way to the restroom. It had a marble floor and counter with sinks as well as little rooms that were the toilet stalls. He placed his hands into the water and splashed it on his face. It was the time he was used to going to sleep at and he was tired, but there was no place he would rather spend his time in than at this hotel listening to debates about how the diplomats from each nation would come across this issue. He splashed more water on his face before looking into the mirror. When he shook some of the tiredness from his face, he made his way back into the conference room and took his seat with his notebook. He raised his hand as well and spoke his mind regarding this issue.

"I would be all for a resolution, but I feel that we need to get the basic foundations and principals down before we rush into a solution," he said to Hjira, "Because like Alexcia stated, we have no way of enforcing regulations of electric transportation and on top of that, there is a bunch of grey area in what we are attempting to come up with to end the night."

THE EMERALD SCHOOL - 6:45 PM

The classroom was light while the outside was dark and cold. Parents and students alike were at the final parent meeting before the trip to the Sennheiser Union for the Thanksgiving Break starting on the Friday before the break. Parents sat in the back and all eighteen students were upfront. Gazes from student to parent were exchanged as the students were given their T-Shirts that they would be wearing to the airport on that Friday. Mr. Shulman exchanged a look with Ms. Stewart before he took the microphone. "Hello, parents. We know that we just got back from a diplomatic summit representing our school and nation in Abadong in front of the world's ambassadors, but we are back again with another trip," he said as he changed the slide. Once the slide turned to the travel plans, everyone's eyes were glued to the screen. "So, first things first, events will be held in the Vlascar Palace in the Vastar Federation for a seven-day-long Thanksgiving Celebration ending with a feast that our students will be able to spend with world leaders and diplomats and advocates," said Ms. Stewart as she turned the amplifier to Mr. Shulman. He tested it out and began to speak once more. "So, for travel plans, everything is tentative. We will definitely fly Cathay Athena Airlines out of Irakot International Airport at precisely 8:30 in the morning on that Friday. We thought we could do it at night, but it would be hard to meet at that point at night and not be late for the opening ceremonies. In other words, students, it is your responsibility to get the advance absence forms into Mr. Dixon in time. We will make a very quick layover in Mogtetao. That is where we will have time to have lunch as a group as well as switching terminals as I believe the International Terminal for trans-Interiorem flights," he said. The third chaperone, Mrs. Lillian Sung took the microphone from Mr. Shulman. "We will separate students into three different groups. One with each of us. With Mr. Shulman, Andrew, Niki, Roma, Georgia, Carson, Jok, Yasmina, and Alexcia. With Ms. Stewart, Evan, Bobi, Vadehi, Nano, Kyla, Eshi, and Claire. And finally, with me, Asya, Abby, Isabelle, Juliet, Bruno, Cassidy, Natalia, and Isabella."

The students each nodded upon hearing their staff and group. Mr. Shulman continued with the travel planning slide. "After our layover, we will board another Cathay Athena jet. This one is likely to be bigger, and we know this one will be like the one we took to and from Abadong. It will have a left, right, and middle row, so more of our students can be in a similar area. We know for a fact that we will be in the middle of the plane, but we do not know which rows we will have. Then, we will fly out of the same airport we flew into. We will have another layover in Mogtetao. However, this one will be longer, so we will have time to travel around the city. We will likely see the Space Needle, Space Museum, eat lunch, and maybe even take a boat tour. Our layover will be around ten hours. Then, after this layover, we will return home where you will be free to be picked up by whoever is here that is your parent or guardian." The students and parents each nodded as the slide turned. Mrs. Sung took the centre of the room for this one. "For packing, you will be packing for an eight-day-long trip, ten counting the travel days. Pack wisely and have a suitcase that has enough space. You will need to pack a pair of pajamas, eight or nine shirts, three pairs of shorts, five pairs of pants, one or two pairs of shoes, a notebook, pen, headphones and a phone for the plane ride or anything, charger, a swimsuit since the hotel will have a pool, a hat, sunscreen, normal toiletries, and a dressy outfit for the feast," she said. The slide changed to a slide regarding travel expectations. Ms. Stewart cleared her throat and spoke. "We expect you at 8:30 and no later. We need you to follow all school rules as there will be around nineteen of you and three of us. Remember to not be noisy or obnoxious at any point on this trip, not saying you will. We are representing our school, county, city, and nation. We expect you all to behave so we can keep on doing so." Mrs. Sung was on the last slide. "Communication... We will all be in touch through WeChat. Since this one will be more spread out, we will have to be in touch with students and parents. Scan this QR code once you get the application and we will add students to a group chat and parents to another. This is an easy way of communication as not everyone here has an international data plan."

Carson and the rest of the students nodded. He was excited because this would be his second international trip and he will spend it with eighteen other students and friends. Mr. Shulman turned towards the parents. "Now that you have had this orientation, please step into Ms. Stewart's room to wait for your students while we talk to them. Parents did as they were told and exited the room. Once all the parents had left, the door was shut. "Alright, guys. You all are awesome. However, I just want to run a debrief by you guys because it seemed that some of you had been spaced out," he said drawing laughter. "We meet at 8:30 at the airport. If you guys want to, we can make a plan for us all to meet at school before school starts at 7:45 and we can take the Expeditions down to the airport and we can all be there as a group. However, the only problem is the luggage situation. However, we can make it work. Next, remember to all bring a notebook as well as packing diligently. You will have carry-ons, but be sure to pack the things you need for the plane in there. We will all check-in as a group at the airport, and once you are done with checking your bags in, you will hand your passport over to your teacher. As of now, we do not know the hotel, but we do know that we will be on one of the higher floors. Other than that, you guys know not to do anything stupid or out-of-the-ordinary, so we should be okay. Any questions?" Nobody raised their hand and Mr. Shulman smiled. "Good! You guys are dismissed. Remember. Lunch meeting tomorrow!" The students scattered and the teachers each left to get their classrooms set for tomorrow.

Neo afro caribbean order wrote:

THE EMERALD SCHOOL - 12:45 PM

The bell rang and the students at the Emerald School were released for lunch time. One-by-one, students filed their way into Room 113, which was Ms. Stewart’s classroom. All the teachers involved were sitting at the front of the room waiting for the students to file in. Severals desks were in the form of table groups for students to be in their groups for this final information session before the trip to the Sennheiser Union. Mr. Shulman waited for everyone to take their seats, and he took back the microphone just like the night before. “Hello, students,” he started, “You are all free to enjoy your lunches in here while we explain some last-minute details to the trip.” Students just nodded as the slide turned to the next slide. “We have received the tickets for Cathay Athena flying out of Irakot. Now, we need to take a vote. Do we want to take the expeditions out to the airport or parents? I’ll leave you guys in here to decide what you guys want to do. From school, it would be a fifty-minute drive, but we would all know that we would be at the airport on time and not late to the flight. From homes gives you guys the freedom to wake up and leave to the airport whenever you guys want depending on where you live. We will step outside.” Mr. Shulman and the other two teachers took a step outside of the room while the students were left to debate on their own on what they wanted to do. Jok went to the front of the room. “Alright,” he said, “Raise your hand if you want to be on your own time.” Six people raised their hands. Jok took note and wrote down the number for “own time”. Then, he called the class back to attention. “Alright, now, raise your hands if you want to take the Expeditions.” Twelve people raised their hands, and Jok added one more to signify that he himself wanted to travel to the airport as a group. He nodded and he called the teachers back into the classroom. He took a step to the middle of the room as the teachers stood at the front. “As a group, we have collectively decided that we would like to travel as a group to the airport.” Mr. Shulman took note of this decision and he turned to the slideshow that regarded group travel. “Well, in that case,” he began, “We will meet at school at precisely 7:30, and will leave at 7:40. We plan on this being a forty-fifty-minute drive down, and we will park as a group. There will be five of you per Expedition, one with four, and a teacher will sit in the front seat. You will load your suitcase in the trunk, so there will be room for that. We will park in the terminal two parking structure and unload and meet as a group before we walk as a group into the terminal.”

Mrs. Sung came to the center of the room to replace Mr. Shulman. “From the terminal, we will separate all of you into your groups, and you will check-in accordingly. You will need to show your passport before check-in and then you will give them to us from there. Then, we will go through the security checkpoint. That should not take too long because we plan on being there earlier than most people. From that point, you can merge into your own groups and walk around the airport for a bit. Remember to meet at the gate at exactly 9:00 as we start boarding at 9:15 and departure to our layover is at 9:45.” The class nodded, but then Evan raised his hand. “Is there a certain way that you want us to do this? Like, when we go through security, will we be in our groups or can we go in any form of a line?” Mrs. Sung thought for a second. “We plan on having you guys in groups because that is the fashion that we will hand you your boarding passes before we let you guys wander off.” Evan nodded, and then Andrew raised his hand to ask another question. “So, what will we be doing that day?” Ms. Stewart looked at him and smiled. “We will be traveling that day the whole day. We will be flying out of Irakot and landing in Mogtetao, then we will have a short layover in Mogtetao. Then, we will board the plane, which will be a 767-300 and take a thirteen-fourteen-hour voyage and we will land. We will immediately get our bags, board a bus, and drive down to a restaurant and eat dinner before heading to the hotel. Does that answer your question?” Andrew nodded. The teachers asked for more questions, but students shrugged and they were dismissed. “Alright, class dismissed. Be at school on the Friday we leave at 7:30.”

THE LOUNGE - RESTAURANT - 5:45 PM

Mr. Shulman led his group of students into the lounge. Followed were Ms. Stewart's group and Mrs. Sung's group. All of which would sit in back-to-back tables. They each waited for the waiter for their orders for food to be filled. They had just left school as a group and had taken a bus to the lounge. They looked at the socializing going on in the room at the moment. However, none of them were too focused on it. "So, this is how it will usually be after each day of the Thanksgiving Festival in the Union. We will find a restaurant and usually eat there and we will gather around and talk about our days and what we experienced for the day." The students each nodded. "Remember that we will have a curfew of ten o'clock, so everyone should be back in their rooms by then unless events run later than 8:30." Then, the waitress came by. "Hello, welcome to the Lounge! Would you like to start off with anything to drink?" the students shrugged and Mr. Shulman took the gazes. He just looked back to the waitress, "We would like nine glasses of water, please?" he said as the waitress took note of it and walked away. Carson had a question. "So, what will seating look like?" he asked. Mr. Shulman shrugged. "We don't know yet. By the looks of it, you are next to Evan on the plane ride." He was taken back, but he tried to keep his excitement to himself. The rest of the group put their heads on the back of the booth chairs and just waited for their waters to come out so they could order.

At the next booth, Mrs. Sung's group was taking a lighter approach to this whole dinner trip. She had her table sit around and then she sat at the end of the booth and she pulled out a deck of Uno cards and asked for whom wanted to play. Her group raised their hands, so she dealt the deck of cards out. She counted out how many she had and she put the start on Natalia. Immediately, she put down a seven that was blue. Mrs. Sung allowed the game to keep going as she spoke. "So, we will meet by the check-in counter on the Friday and we will get a headcount before we meet with the rest of the group to check-in. Security will be normal and you will all be free to wander about the airport until 9:00." The group nodded as Mrs. Sung kept going. "We plan to have our group in the left side seats, but this is subject to change. We plan to have seats that allow our group the right side of our section, Mr. Shulman's group the middle, and Ms. Stewart's group the left. However, we are not sure yet. We just want to keep our groups together. We will just be referring to travel for now until the day before we depart. We will get into the itinerary at that point, but we are more focused on travel right now." The group nodded until they were interrupted by a waitress. "Hello, can I get you guys started with anything to drink?" the group smiled lightly and just requested glasses of water. The waitress got the waters in and she started off. The game went on for some time before Asya remarked "Uno!" The rest of the group shrugged and rolled their eyes as they put their cards down and crowned Asya the winner of the game. Mrs. Sung had one more thing to say. "Any questions?" The group did not raise their hands and started a new game of Uno.

Outside of the lounge, Ms. Stewart held up her group. She gathered them around in a circle and immediately requested for questions. When nobody raised their hands, she nodded and took a few small notes. "Alright, so regarding travel. I want our group to meet up right before the escalator. I also want you guys to give me your passports as soon as we are done with check-in so we don't lose them. Anyway, we plan on making a small layover, as you guys know, and I plan on using this layover as a time to get a group lunch. I don't want us to be separated or anything of that sort, so the best way to make sure that doesn't happen is to keep us all together. Now, when we arrive, we will allow you guys to board the bus and sit in whichever pairings that you desire as it will be a long bus ride to the restaurant and then eventually to the hotel. We advise you guys to get sleep on the night before because airplanes aren't too comfortable." This made this group start to laugh slightly. "Remember that breakfast will be served on the two-hour flight to the layover, so be sure to not eat too much at home, but still eat something," she said. With that note, she opened the doors into the restaurant named "The Lounge" and her group waited for the waitress to guide them to their booth. The waitress picked up nine menus and had them follow her past the other groups and into a booth. Once everyone was sat down, Ms. Stewart went over her notes once more. "So, regarding hotel rooming..."

THE LOUNGE - 6:00 PM

Mr. Shulman rose from his seat and stood in front of the whole student delegation. He wanted to make sure that his voice wasn't obnoxiously loud to disturb other patrons of the Lounge. "So, we just got word from the event hosters. We know that our hotel will be near the palace. However, we know that it will have a pool, so bring a swimsuit. Our hotel goes by the name of the Executive Mountain Hotel. We plan on being out of the hotel by eight in the morning every morning, so we would suggest to be ready by then. We plan on taking our bus from the hotel to the palace every morning which will take around fifteen to thirty minutes. We will be occupy parts of the sixth and seventh floors of the hotel, so that will be nice. Rooms will have two people in them unless stated otherwise." The students nodded as they looked through the menus that they had received from the restaurant to order. The lighting was dim and there was a television near the bar that showcased sports around the world. Carson went over the boundary of his booth and gave his friends a glance. Andrew and Evan both gave him a look. "So, guys. Are we going to do a room of three?" he wondered. Both of them nodded and laughed. "Alright, so here is what we will do. Evan and Andrew get the two beds, and since I am the smallest, I will take the marble window sill."

They both laughed aloud and then turned their attention back to Mr. Shulman. Then, the attention turned to the flowers in the corner of the room. Flowers under amazing lighting were under full display. Then, the attention turned to other patrons who were all around the area. The students leaned back in their seats altogether and started to daze off. The information and logstics given to them since the invite has been a lot for them as a group. Mr. Shulman took note of the students' clear lack of attention and took a seat and let them doze off. Carson looked around the room and then at his menu before taking note of what he wanted to order in terms of food. Then, he started to doze off before he closed his eyes. Then, the waitress came around with a notepad ready to take orders for food. Their table put their orders in quickly and swiftly before the waitress moved onto the other tables. Ms. Stewart came to the front of the other tables. "So, we plan on arriving at the hotel at around 10:00 their time, so we plan on giving you around eight hours of sleep before your wake-up call at six-thirty." Mrs. Sung came into this. "Also, whenever we want to leave to a destination, we will text you through WeChat. Meaning that if you aren't there, we are leaving."

Mr. Shulman came back. "So, regarding transportation to Irakot, we plan on arriving at school at precisely 7:45 and we plan on a fifty-minute trip. We need you to get your luggage in the trunks as soon as you guys can, and we will be off. We got the approval from Mr. Worth." The delegation clapped upon the news of the approval. Mr. Shulman spoke once more. "I know this has been a lot to handle, but now we are open for questions." Several students rose their hands to signify that they were going to ask questions. Mr. Shulman called the first person. "So, you said that we know the hotel, do we know the room pairings yet?" Mr. Shulman pointed the pen in his hand at Andrew. "Well... Yes, but no. We don't have pairings, but we have a rough idea of what our ideal pairings are." Another person rose their hand. "Mrs. Sung, so regarding the WeChat, will we get daily updates or just momentarily updates?" Mrs. Sung looked in confusion. "If I am understanding this question correctly, then my answer is that we will be in touch at every moment of the day." The student nodded and the last hand went up. "Will we be allowed to use Global Entry when we arrive into the Sennheiser Union and back into the NACO?" Mr. Shulman pointed out his pencil. "That's a good question. So, I plan on taking those with Global Entry through Security to start. And then, we will meet as a group, and then we will go from there." Then, the food for the tables came in on the trays. The food was set on the expandable tray and then served one-by-one to the students in the Emerald School. Mr. Shulman spoke to the students once more before they ate. "Enjoy your meals, guys. We will talk more when we get back to school."

THE LOUNGE - 7:00 PM

The meals were complete and finished with a round of silence. No plate from all twenty-two students had an ounce or a crumb of food, and soon they walked out the door. Carson stopped near the door. He took one more look around the area. The lights looked magnificent and the doorway was even more majestic. He was in a trance and he was stuck admiring the restaurant for its beauty. He was snapped out of it by a hand on his shoulder from Niki. She guided him away from the restaurant and he climbed into the car. He put his back onto the seat and drifted to sleep knowing that the drive back to school would be long. The cars that were in the parking lot came out of the parking lot and found their way onto the road in no time at all. The sun wasn’t out, but neither was the moon. The students in the car driving on the way back looked at the identical cars in front as they embarked on the journey that would take them around two hours. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of the tires on the road with the cars driving down the highway. It was dead silent.

Several students looked out the windows as the cars passed by the structures, forest, lake, and mountain range. The sound of sleep was clear within the students that were inside of the cars. Carson opened his eyes to the scene that he never thought that he was going to see ever. There was a waterfall outside of the car and it was beautiful for the eyes. The water kept that clear look to it and the mist from the water fogged up the windows. Carson took a quick picture, but it was hard for him to move as his friend’s head was on his shoulder. He was submissive and tried to move as little as he could to not wake up his friend. He drifted back to sleep and let his eyes shut. The car drove down the highway that had no cars in motion that day. Sights were limited, but it was peaceful in the car in which they had been in. It stayed like this for hours before they made a turn on Greeb Avenue and went up the hill.

Carson opened his eyes and saw that they were almost back. He shook his head and stretched his legs that both seemed to be asleep as if they had been for hours. The five cars pulled up into the parking lot of the Emerald School and the students all unloaded from the cars. Many of them called their parents whom were on their way. Mr. Shulman gathered them all around once more before excusing them to their parents. “Alright! What time should we be at school on Friday?” he shouted. “7:45!” the rest of the students echoed. Mr. Shulman nodded. “We will have six Expeditions able to be used for our journey due to the bags being significantly bigger since this is both an international school trip and a week-long trip. We will see you bright and early on Friday. Remember that tomorrow, we want all of you to stop by your leaders’ classrooms to take a small quiz on the travel information and basic information of the Sennheiser Union.

THE EMERALD SCHOOL

The cars pulled up in the parking lot at school. Students were getting ready to start the school day in the cold morning. Advanced absence forms had already been filled out by the students of the Emerald School. The morning was overcast and cold. However, through the mix of the frenzy in the Middle School Parking Lot, students of the delegation of the Neo Afro Caribbean Order were standing with their bags. Five Expeditions lined up near the parking lot ready to take the students to the airport. The five drivers waited at their cars while the teachers gathered their students and called roll. As each student was called in order, they made their way to the Ford Expedition of their choice and placed their luggage inside of the trunk of the car. After every student had been called, the drivers each shut the trunk of their car and got into the driver's seat. The students and teachers were all anxious but ready. They had been preparing for quite some time, and they were ready to leave. Carson pulled out his phone from his backpack. There, several texts showed up. One from Abed, his close friend as well as two from Andrew and one from Nikita, who were both on the delegation. He looked out the window one last time before he noticed the Lower, Upper, and Middle School waving them off.

Students were bearing flags of the Neo Afro Caribbean Order and were waving them. Some others had signs that had all sorts of messages in them. Lower School students all bounced on their toes and they waved goodbye to their Upper School counterparts that were on their way to this Thanksgiving Celebration in the Sennheiser Union. The students and chaperones in all five cars each waved to the send-off party as they pulled off into the road and onto the freeway. The car ride was boring and the students had nothing to do for the time being. They waited for fifty minutes before the sight of the airport came up. Carson pumped his fist in the air as soon as he was able to locate the airport. His hands and face were glued out the window at the planes landing and taking off from both terminals. The cars came off the freeway and into the Aladdin Parking Lot. As soon as the cars came to a complete stop outside of the station, Mr. Shulman went out of his Expedition. He walked into the port and came out with shuttle assignments. All the students came out of the Expeditions after thanking their bus drivers. The students went over to Mr. Shulman as he divided them into groups. The drivers each unloaded the luggage and placed them in front of the shuttles in no particular order. "Alright, so I need half of you over here, and the other half over there!" Mr. Shulman exclaimed as students made their way over to the two shuttles. "We know that this kind of goes against the original plan, but this is a lot easier. The shuttles pass through Terminal one and onto two."

Students nodded as they took their bags and boarded the buses. The luggage was placed onto the racks and the students took their seats on each shuttle. "Welcome to Aladdin!" the shuttle one bus driver said as he boarded the bus. "Where are you guys headed?" he asked. Carson wanted to answer the question, but he allowed Mr. Shulman to answer. "We are headed to the Sennheiser Union for a Diplomatic Thanksgiving Celebration!" he said proudly. The bus driver was shocked and excited at the same time. Carson started to daze off and look out the windows at the terminals and the planes that were parked. As they passed terminal one, he noticed a group of jets that seemed to be representing East Pacific Airways. Then, as they got closer to terminal two, he noticed the signs that signified that more airlines flew out of terminal two. The bus stopped on the bottom level of the Cathay Athena portion of the airport and the students each got up. They grabbed their luggage and carry-on bags and thanked the bus driver before going out of the bus and into the building. Carson walked with his friends as they walked up the escalator and waited for their staff members on the upper floor.

Carson took a seat as he waited for the other half of the delegation to arrive. Then, he started to look around. The sun was starting to creep through the windows and the check-in windows for Omega, Cathay Athena, and AC Air were starting to open. He noticed that the airline staff were giving each other dirty looks and he chuckled at that fact. In the mix of his laughter, the rest of the delegation came up the escalator. Carson walked over to Mr. Shulman and retrieved his passport and rushed his way into line with his backpack and his suitcase. The line went by a little bit slowly, but it ended up passing. Carson got to the front of the line. The front desk looked at him and gave him a small grin. "Welcome to Cathay Athena, a proud member of the Oneworld Alliance. Please hand me your passport." Carson nodded and handed his passport to the front desk. She examined the passport. "Name?"
"Carson Walker,"
"Birthday?"
"26 December 2004,"
"Where are you traveling to?"
"The Sennheiser Union."

The woman stamped the passport. "Alright, put your bags up here that you want to check-in." Carson did as he was told and he placed his suitcase on the scale. The woman nodded, put some marks on her clipboard, and put the suitcase on the conveyer belt. She handed Carson back his passport and smiled once more. "Enjoy your trip!" Carson took his backpack and walked towards Mr. Shulman who directed him to Mrs. Sung. She guided him and a number of others through the security line. He waited in line before he got to the front and pulled out his student ID, and gave it to the security guards at the front. "Greetings, Carson. Go through line B." Carson did as he was told and took a bin. He took his phone and wallet from his pocket and placed them both into his backpack and placed his backpack into the bin as it passed through the security checkpoint. As soon as it came out the other side, he met up with his friends, Andrew and Evan. They walked around the airport to buy breakfast before they boarded the plane. Evan found a small coffee shop and they each ordered and sat down. They took a long look around the airport terminal and took note of how beautiful the terminal was. The coffee shop was next to Gate A33 through A41, so they were able to take looks at the planes taking off. Once they finished their meals, they made their way over to the gate to prepare for boarding. They took note of where their groups were standing and they got into line accordingly. The PA came on the microphone only five minutes later. "Cathay Athena Flight 8922 on nonstop service to Mogtetao is now boarding at Gate A22." The doors opened and the check-in stand started to take passengers through. Mr. Shulman led the line and the delegation followed suit. They boarded the plane in an ordered single-file line. They found their seats in an organized fashion. They witnessed everyone else take their seats and soon, the plane was full.

The airline safety video came on and the plane started to taxi. Carson took a short look at his two neighbors, Jok and Roma, before he turned back to the safety video. He looked at the window and looked at the wing as the plane was taxiing. He took note of the freeway as well as the cars that were on the freeway as well as the planes that were in front and behind their Cathay Athena airliner. The plane started to move faster and faster until they found themselves off the ground. Carson started to follow his neighbors' influence and drift off to sleep as the flight was making its way over to its layover stop in Mogtetao. He was excited for what this trip would bring for him and what kind of friendships would be built on and even created.

The plane made one final descent encompassing the airport before making it's way down and landing at the airport of the layover. The landing was rough and the students had to hold their carry-on luggage to make sure it did not slip through the seats. Carson held his back to the seat as much as he could to avoid pain in both his back and his neck. Gradually, the plane started to slow down and it started to taxi its way to Gate A7. The pilot came on the intercom once more. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Mogtetao. Thank you for flying with Cathay Athena on its nonstop service from Irakot to Mogtetao. If Mogtetao is your final destination, we say welcome home or enjoy your stay in the Neo Afro Caribbean Order. Connecting flights on Cathay Athena go through Terminal Two, and international destinations go through the B Gate. This also goes for Eastlake Air, Frontier Airways, and Virgin Unistan. The crew will come around once more for one more cabin check. From all of our staff and crew, we say thank you for flying Cathay Athena, and welcome to Mogtetao." The system shut down to the applause of many passengers on-board. Mr. Shulman looked at the students in the rows that were under his jurisdiction. "Alright, so this is our layover spot. We plan on exiting and waiting for everyone else to meet ina general area so we can take the tram over to Terminal Two." The students nodded as the plane pulled up to the gate and came to a complete stop. The seatbelt sign flickered off and everyone stood up to gather their things from the overhead bins. The students waited for some time before they were allowed to exit the plane one-by-one. Carson hugged the flight attendants and shook the hands of the pilot and co-pilot. Exiting through the tunnel, Carson saw many images around the tunnel that promoted the Mogtetao Airport as well as Omega Air Lines and Cathay Athena. He lightly took note of these signs and went out the doorway of the tunnel. Mr. Shulman led his group to the side. The rest of the groups met up with Mr. Shulman's group and they all exited the terminal and waited for the subway to take them to terminal two. The walk was silent as the delegation tried to stay together.

They crossed to terminal two by train. The ride was silent until Andrew broke the silence. "So, are you guys excited?" he asked. Motions and voices of agreement and excitement started to commence and soon, the silence was no more. When the train made its way to the second terminal, the delegation exited and went up the escalator before reaching a section before the gate. Mr. Shulman had everyone gather around and he smiled. "I'm glad you guys are having fun on the most boring day of the trip. A travel day is the worst, but festivities start tomorrow, and that is a lot of fun. Anyway, we have around two hours before we depart. Get some food and rest up before the flight. Be here in an hour for boarding. We will hand you your boarding passes and passports to show to the front desk. We are at Gate 5, and we have a 767. We will occupy the middle rows. Mrs. Sung's group will be on the right, Ms. Stewart's group on the left side, and my group in the middle aisle. You guys are dismissed." The delegation dispersed. Andrew, Evan, and Carson walked over to the Burger Lounge and bordered three burgers and fries. They sat around upon gaining the knowledge that they would be roommates in the Sennheiser Union. "So, I will take the window sill," Carson said aloud. Evan perked his head up. "Are you sure? It's made of marble." Carson nodded and confirmed that he knew that fact. Evan shrugged and they looked at Andrew. "So, Steves. Which bed do you want?" he asked. "I really don't care," Andrew said. All three of them nodded and started to laugh at the fact that Carson would be sleeping on the window sill. The food came along and they ate without silence. The students had not dispersed far as there was less than an hour until boarding. They each waited for around fifty minutes before they got up and started to head over to the gate. They waited in their seats for the rest of the delegation to arrive. Mrs. Sung came out with the passports and boarding passes inside as did Ms. Stewart. Roma walked up to Carson. "So, where is Mr. Shulman?" she asked. Carson shrugged lightly before searching the perimeter. He then pointed at Mr. Shulman. He held up the passports and boarding passes and motioned for the delegation to get into line.

The front desk started to scan the passports and boarding passes. "Enjoy your flight," they said in a systematic fashion. Carson walked down the hallway and stopped before the plane to put his passport and wallet into his backpack. He yawned in exhaustion. He was ready to sleep on the majority of the long voyage. They found their rows of seats in the middle of the plane and the delegation took their seats. Mr. Shulman stood up from his seat and went around the rows the delegation was in to collect everyone's passport. They waited around their seats as they turned on the screens in front of them. Carson looked at Evan before turning back. Then, he turned towards Andrew and Asya. He turned back to his screen as he waited for the rest of the passengers to board the airliner. The plane doors closed approximately fifteen minutes later and the plane started to withdraw from the station. He pumped his fist knowing that in just thirteen short hours, they would be in the Sennheiser Union and in their hotel. The safety video started to play as the plane pushed its way out to the runway. Carson opened up his blanket and headphones before he put his head back onto the pillow and drifted off to sleep. The plane took off just seconds later and the airliner took flight and rose to 10,000 feet with ease and started cruising over the Interiorem Ocean.

The plane had some light turbulence in it. Carson opened his eyes upon this happening. Immediately, he turned on the East Pacific News Station. He sunk back into his seat and waited for the final descent into the Sennheiser Union. He looked at his friends who smiled right back at him. He put up his tray table and waited for the plane to make a landing at the airport. Asya opened the window at her seat and turned to Carson before getting out of the picture slightly. He clicked the small circle in the bottom centre of his phone and gave a thumbs up to Asya. She nodded and turned her head back to her screen. The plane was making its final descent into the airport as the seatbelt sign illuminated once more. The screen changed from the news he had been watching. A small display of a seatbelt came on. The voice spoke. "The seatbelt sign is on." Carson rolled his eyes at this display as it kept playing. Then, the display turned off and the news turned to a segment on the Emerald School's Delegation. He smiled as a few of his friends had been featured when they left the airport in Irakot. The reporter ended with "We will see how this group does in the upcoming days. I am Chris Jones, EPNS." He pumped his fist as the plane landed on the runway. He smiled once more as he turned to his friend Evan in another aisle. "We're in the Sennheiser Union!" he exclaimed in a light whisper excitedly. The plane's PA turned on. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Vastar Federation. Cathay Athena welcomes you to the Sennheiser Union. If this is your final destination, welcome home or enjoy your stay. If you are continuing your journey from here, we hope you have a wonderful journey. As always, great is what we are going for." The plane continued to the runway as it played music along the way.
And I wanna know, why does it feel so good but hurt so bad?
Whoa, my mind keeps saying, "run as fast as you can"
I say I'm done but then you pull me back
Whoa, I swear you're giving me a heart attack, troublemaker

The students waited for the plane to stop at the gate, and once it did, the seatbelt sign turned off. The students grabbed their backpacks and left out the tunnel. The teachers led their students to the Global Entry and each of them showed the machines their passports. From there, they continued onto the baggage claim. They were all laughs as soon as they were ready to leave. They went out the front door and took their bus that would be dedicated to them the whole week. They boarded one-by-one and they placed their luggage under the bus. After getting a headcount, the bus driver started to drive away from the airport. They drove for some time down the highway before they stopped at the hotel. Each student grabbed their luggage and their backpacks and followed the teachers to the lobby with ease. "Alright, so from here, you will all receive your rooms," Mrs. Sung said. She handed out everyone's room keys and they headed towards the elevator. Mrs. Sung gave Andrew, Evan, and Carson their room keys and they headed to their room with the rest of the group. They traveled up several floors through the elevator and then they walked down the hallway. They reached their room and were amazed when they opened the door. Andrew flopped on his bed, Evan put down his bag, and Carson took a blanket and placed it on the window sill. Andrew undid the covers and laughed. Carson pulled across the curtains and drifted off to sleep. Outside the window was a wonderful view of the hotel's downstairs food area. "Good night, boys," Carson smiled before shutting the curtains. Andrew repeated Carson's words. "Good night, guys." Evan got under his covers. "Night, guys. See you guys in the morning."

The Lounge; 8:45pm

The boy walked into the empty room with his delegations- no his friends. They each opened the doors and they sat down. Carson allowed his classmates to get through into the tables and he got in. His teacher stood before them. "We have all of the time in the world for this meeting, so take your time. No rush." Carson sat and looked at his friends. Each and every one of them. He had a habit of looking at people. Then, a beautiful woman walked through the door and sat down at a different table. "May I get a water, please?" she asked the waitress. Carson kept his gaze on her before being snapped out of it. He got up and acted like he was going to go to the bathroom and walked over to the woman.

He tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey..." he said quietly. The woman looked at him. She looked no more than 24. "Hi," she said. Carson thought about what he would say, but he had to hurry it up. "How's it going?" he asked lightly. The woman invited him to sit with her for a little bit. "Everything is good," she said as they stared into each other's eyes. They continued to engage into a deep conversation about life. They had to keep it short, but they were able to talk about a lot. "Are you from the area?" Carson asked. The woman shook her head as she took a sip of her water. "No. I'm actually from up north," she said. Then, Carson got called back over to his table. They both rose and shook hands, and in a swift move, he asked for the woman's number. She giggled lightly and wrote her name and number on the paper. "Call me," she said as she sat back down waiting to receive her meal.

He went back to his table and quickly read the note. "Victoria..." he mumbled as he kept his eyes on her. She returned the gaze and smiled. They continued to stare into each other's eyes even as Mr. Shulman read off the plan for the summer. "So, as of now, your parents know, but I gathered us here today to tell us that we will be attending a summit in two weeks in Xiangshu Shi, and even potentially one internationally," he said, "As of now, the only one we know about is the one in Xiangshu Shi, but we will keep you guys posted on news on the international summit. The biggest issues that will be addressed in both will be climate change and world health, so be prepared to ask questions and to attend panels."

"Now, the one in Xiangshu Shi is set-and-stone, and we have our hotel reservations set. Now, with that said, we plan to have two per room. As you know, there are twenty-two of us, so get ready to choose your pairs for the conference. In other news, we should plan to meet at school at 7:45 on that Friday. This means to get your schoolwork for that week we will be gone, get the approval from your teachers, and be sure to be on time and packed. We need you to get your luggage in the trunks as soon as you guys can, and we will be off. We got the approval from Mr. Worth." The delegation clapped upon the news of the approval. Mr. Shulman spoke once more. "I know this has been a lot to handle, but now we are open to questions."

Not many people raised their hands. However, the real question was about the hotel. "We will be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel right above the summit. This means that we will be able to be on time every day to breakfast and to the meeting sessions. There will be four Youth Simulation Labs that you all will be able to gain access to. For this reason, we ask you to fill out a waiver if you are willing to be in the media. If not, then don't worry. We will get a basic rundown of the schedule as soon as we get there. It won't be like the first summit of the school year where we had to walk across from our hotel to the summit, so that will be nice and easy." Nobody had any questions. Mr. Shulman took note and stepped down, "Enjoy your meals, everyone."

As everyone began chowing down on the meals Carson got a text from Victoria. He met her near the door. "Hey, I'm about to leave. It was nice meeting you. Call me," she said as they hugged lightly. Victoria got in her car and drove off. Carson wondered how this lounge was in the center of the world, but accessible from everywhere. He went back to his seat and began to eat. He grew excited for what was to come in the summit. He looked at his friend, Evan. They both smirked, and at that moment, they knew that they would be roommates.

Just enjoying the company of the people who he would be flying with, he didn't have time to take in the scenery of the place. He took a small bite of his burger before looking at the blue lighting. The white flowers. The delicate scent in the room was rivaled with the food that was even better. Carson got up and took a walk out back and took a view of the scenery. While words couldn't describe the lounge, they couldn't justify what was outback. Seeing several pathways as well as a sunset made him take it all in. He couldn't describe any of this and what it was like. He took a seat on the ground and looked into the distance when he located several cars. They were the cars that the future delegation would be taking back home. He shrugged it off and located a tetherball court and walked towards it. He took off his backpack and hit the ball around the pole. The role latched itself around and around. Jok walked out. Without a word, he walked over to the court, and they played a game.

"I had to get out too. I needed fresh air," Jok said as they both laughed as they continued their game. "I remember this game went hard back in second grade..." Carson laughed as Jok started to go for the winning points. "Honestly... I'd play every day," he said as he finished the game by wrapping the ball around the pole. "Good game," he said laughing hysterically. "Oh, you wanna go? Round 2... Let's go!" Carson practically shouted. They began once again. One spike followed by another spike. Wrap by wrap. Piece by piece, Jok kept on winning as he finished wrapping the ball around the pole and declared victory. Carson laughed and shook his head before they both went back inside. They walked in as Mr. Shulman explained the orientation for Friday and the week in which they would be there. "The most important thing is to be packed tonight, come to the lunch orientation tomorrow, and to be at school on time on Friday."

"So, here's our schedule for Friday. We will get to school at 7:00 on the dot and you will unload your stuff in the bottom of the bus. You will find seats quickly and we will head to the airport for our 8:30 flight. Check-ins will be quick, security will be quick, and we will be set for our first flight. We will fly into Ah Gao International Airport, and a bus will be waiting for us to transport us to Xiangshu Shi. We will be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel, as I stated earlier. We will get there that afternoon and opening ceremonies will begin that night in the hotel. We will gain a detailed schedule as we go along. Besides that, any questions?" Mr. Shulman paused. When nobody raised their hands, Mr. Shulman added one more thing. "Don't loot the candy boxes this time," he laughed as everyone followed him out of the lounge.

Many of them called their parents who were on their way. Mr. Shulman gathered them all around once more before excusing them to their parents. “Alright! What time should we be at school on Friday?” he shouted. “7:45!” the rest of the students echoed. Mr. Shulman nodded. "We will have an informational session tomorrow at lunch! Be there!" They all nodded as they got into their cars and left the school.

Carson dragged his suitcase into school with a large grin on his face. He knew that they would have one more meeting before they were to leave tomorrow morning. He had arranged with Mr. Shulman that he would leave his suitcase at school overnight, so he was happy for that one reason. He walked from the bus stop around the gym and into the Upper School Quad. He smiled as he walked past the lockers and the bell tower. He made his way down the row of classrooms and knocked on the door of Mr. Shulman's classroom. He walked in slightly and greeted his teacher. "Good morning, Mr. Shulman!" he laughed. Mr. Shulman smiled and waved back. "You said that I could drop my suitcase off, so I did. Where should I put it?" he asked. Mr. Shulman came over and took the suitcase and placed it in a corner next to several others. Carson smiled and waved goodbye. "See ya, Mr. Shulman!" he smiled as he left out the door. He walked up the stairs to his first class. He took his place in his seat and waited for the lecture to begin. But, he couldn't focus. Excitement had taken over, and he was ready for some diplomacy in the city of Xiangshu Shi. He shook off these feelings as class began shortly thereafter. He took out his notebook and began to write down notes given by his teacher before he looked out the window. The blue sky was looking free as ever. Birds were singing outside. The baseball field was glistening. He shook his head as he turned his attention back to his teacher. However, the attention would not be able to withstand his excitement. This went on for two class periods. Two class periods of limited focus on the tasks and barely completing them. However, the excitement he was feeling could not be contained. Then, lunch came around.

The bell rang and the students at the Emerald School were released for lunchtime. One-by-one, students filed their way into Room 106, which was Mr. Shulman's classroom. All the teachers involved were sitting at the front of the room waiting for the students to file in. Several desks were in the form of table groups for students to be in their groups for this final information session before the trip to Xiangshu. Mr. Shulman waited for everyone to take their seats, and he took back the microphone just like the night before. “Hello, students,” he stated, “You are all free to enjoy your lunches in here while we explain some last-minute details to the trip.” Students just nodded as the slide turned to the next slide. “We have received the tickets for Athena Airways flying out of Irakot. Now, we need to take a vote. Do we want to take the expeditions out to the airport or parents? I’ll leave you guys in here to decide what you guys want to do. From school, it would be a fifty-minute drive, but we would all know that we would be at the airport on time and not late to the flight. From home gives you guys the freedom to wake up and leave to the airport whenever you guys want to depend on where you live. “Alright, now, raise your hands if you want to take the Expeditions.” The trest raised their hands, and Jok added one more to signify that he himself wanted to travel to the airport as a group. We will park in the terminal two parking structures and unload and meet as a group before we walk as a group into the terminal.”

“We plan on having you guys in groups because that is the fashion that we will hand you your boarding passes before we let you guys wander off.” Evan nodded, and then Carson raised his hand to ask another question.

This is perfect for the Emperor's plans.

The Holy Roman Empire declares Burgundy and Paris states of the Holy Roman Empire, sending riders to deliver the news. Whether the states resist or not will decide the fate of their people.

While politics unfold, the schools in the HRE are getting better, and the citizens are getting more educated. History, math, science, children of the Empire are learning as much as they possibly can. Special military schools are attended by boys after their tenth birthday alongside normal school. Strategy, war, and fighting is taught, alongside discipline. Most alumni become officers in the armies of the Holy Roman Empire, although some become regular soldiers and some get normal jobs. However, the overall situation in the Holy Roman Empire is looking good for the people in power.

A Message from Primarch Elena Andronikos:

"Know that if you proceed with this, we will bring death and damnation upon your nation. We do not think kindly of attacks on any Columbian soil, no matter how far flung it may be. The Columbian people are not one to stand down from any conflict. We will give you one chance. Turn back, or die."

In the Exteriorem Ocean, Battlegroups M5, H3, H4, and M1 rendezvous East of Araseos before proceeding South through the Strait of Seermin in order to link up with Battlegroup L2, forming Combined Fleet Aegis. Across all Columbian lands, the militias are mobilized under the control of local police forces, and the National Guard is called up in preparation for war. The Combined Legions of Columbia are on the march.
