OOC, I can open up the The Free Republic of Mareuvia account to all nations involved in J-DOG to make it easier to RP things to do with that base and Free Mareuvia by extension.
IC, i have no idea. I think Voli might be pulling out sometime?
IC: There are 4 other nations there, either someone continues to protect it, Mareuvia requests a detachment of Volinovians to stay, or it just becomes a Mareuvian base.
OOC: Yeah I pull out tomorrow. (29th) By the 4th or 5th of April, all Volinovian Soldiers and Supplies will be gone from Mareuvia. (Unless Mareuvia requests that a detachment stays in which case maybe 500 soldiers will be rotated in and out depending on the deployment cycle.) The boys are going home. There's nothing to be gained by keeping my troops there except the division of troops away from the Nonscian Front.
Since Savoy is still wary of Esther, he may send a request for a detachment of 250 Volinovian troops to remain on base just in the unlikely event Westmore's new president isn't as chill as everyone hoped she would be.
Yeah if it's requested that Volinovian Troops stay in Westmore we can continue the deployment until the end of the year. Then bring what's left home. But for all intents and purposes following this Volinovia is looking at the homefront.
"Hypothetically, let's say for the sake of argument, I am sticking out my Gyatt for the rizzlers. And let's also say that I am indeed very skibidi. Would that then make me swag down in Ohio?" — Ben Shapiro
"and liberal partisan hacks will try to claim otherwise, because their arguments rely on feelings and emotions, but i'm speaking the cold hard truth here and they don't have to like it"
- a sequence of words i just made up but i would give maybe an 18% chance that shapiro has said them in that exact order
Despite the rest of the city under repair or construction, Santos Marinos is a hub of activity. Following the arrival of the representatives of the three Samarian nations at the city’s remaining international airport, they were quickly led away to the San Agustin Hotel, where the Quadrilateral Summit was to take place. As the representatives reacquaint themselves with each other in the main function hall, Prime Minister Clemente Estopinal and several high-ranking officials of the Provisional Government enter from a side door.
Immediately, all talking within the room died down. Estopinal introduces himself, then his senior officials. Leading a short opening remark, the negotiations began in earnest. Rapidfire exchanges of ideas, information, and considerations followed, with it lasting the entire day and into the wee hours of the night.
Finally, following an overnight session by members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following draft treaty will be sent back to home countries of the representatives, where they can revise or approve as they see fit:
I. Formal diplomatic recognition between Gran Sagrado and the three participating nations. This will help give more legitimacy for the Government of Gran Sagrado on the international stage; II. A quadrilateral free trade agreement agreement between Gran Sagrado and the three participating countries. Particularly, Gran Sagrado will purchase raw goods and materials from the three nations, and in return, Gran Sagrado offers the budding services-based economy of the country to the other three participants. This aims to help restart the economy, while also lending credible partners for the companies in Gran Sagrado; III. Gran Sagrado will offer a 90-day visa-free travel for tourists from the three participating. This is expected to help boost the tourism sector of the country, which features several prominent cultural and natural tourist sites; and IV. Gran Sagrado will invite military advisors from the three participating nations. These advisors are envisioned to help restructure, train, and, most importantly, advise the Royal Army of Gran Sagrado. Additionally, Gran Sagrado hopes to secure financial and material support from the three countries in financing future Sagradan military projects.
The Provisional Government of Gran Sagrado shall await the reply from these governments.
Since I cannot decide who should be General Secretary of the Communist Party, I'll let the public decide. You might wanna read our history because it mentions some of the candidates, do so here.
Here's the link: https://strawpoll.com/jVyG8Ba0Yn7
Here's some info on each candidate:
Bartolo Leon Age: 72 Background: Premier from 2002-2014. During his time there was a fear of economic collapse. However, the 1st five year plan of the millennium (2001-2006) saw a major upturn in economic output and the decline in unemployment. Many critics, in the old guard of the Communist Party, feared a move away from Communist ideals and as a result rigged local elections in 2006 to be in favour of more traditional communist party members.
John Norman Pritchard Age: 64/65 Background: son of the late Premier Idwal Pritchard, who saw the occupation and annexation of the Falklands. Info: much like his father Ideal, J.N. Pritchard is a believer in the idea of more western style of Government/soft communism. Similarly he has called for modernisation within the Supreme Soviet to make it more diverse politically. However, he is also deeply mistrusted due to several financial scandals and an affair with his mistress. Info: Bartolo Leon has not been highly involved in the upper echelons of the Communist Party and most consider him a compromise between the Liberal Pritchard and the Conservative López de Lacalle.
Prudencio López de Lacalle Age: 58 Background: Head of Comisariado del Pueblo para la Seguridad del Estado (the People's Commissariat for State Security). Info: López de Lacelle is considered on the more conservative side of the Communist Party, a firm believer in the cult of personality forged by the first General Secretary of the Communist Party, Rodolfo Vicente. He is often regarded by the west as dangerous and too sympathetic towards China and Russia, especially in regard to their recent actions toward Taiwan and Ukraine.
If you want more info on candidates, I can happily answer.
