This index, analyzed, investigated and approved by political scientists formerly part of the International Court of Justice, analyzes how regimes across Valsora are Democratic or Authoritarian, or if regimes are politically granting freedoms to it's people such as holding elections, referendums and giving the public abilities to rule the nation without the central government intervening.

Democracy (Greek: δημοκρατία, dēmokratiā, from dēmos 'people' and kratos 'rule') is a form of government in which the people have the authority to choose their governing legislation. Who people are and how authority is shared among them are core issues for democratic theory, development and constitution. Some cornerstones of these issues are freedom of assembly and speech, inclusiveness and equality, membership, consent, voting, right to life and minority rights.

Ranks, explanations and scores of the index:

Minimum score is zero, which indicates that the nation has absolutely no democratic power and everything is decided by the head of state, council or the central government. Maximum score is a hundred, which indicates that every single citizen, no matter what demographics they make up, has big power and voice over every bit of internal affairs, and are able to elect figures they like or desire the most.

Ranks:

Full Democracy (8.01 to 10): A full Democracy is a rank of a democratic society that grants the common citizen power over the affairs by votes, referendums and petitions without the central government's denial of these, as long as they are majority approved. Based on the rank, votes and any people's demands can be counted properly and professionally. Elections can be called whenever the people demand it or when term limits come.

  • Direct Democracy: A form of a democratic society where the people and common citizen directly decide policy initiatives.

    • Full Republic.

    • Democratic Confederalism.

  • Representative Democracy: A form of a democratic government where the common citizen elect a group of people that guarantee democratic powers.

    • Parliamentary Republic (Fully or Semi-presidential).

    • Congressional Republic.

    • Constitutional Monarchy.

Flawed Democracy (6.01 to 8): A flawed Democracy is a rank in a democratic society where the system can be decent, but can fall at risks of issues that damage the political concept of a democracy. These flaws include corruption, nepotism and inefficiency to properly count votes. Nevertheless, the people are granted freedom of speech, the rights to press and criticisms of the administrative system.

  • Representative Democracy: A form of a democratic government where the common citizen elect a group of people that guarantee democratic powers.

    • Parliamentary Republic (Fully or Semi-presidential).

    • Congressional Republic.

    • Constitutional Monarchy.

Illiberal Democracy (4.01 to 6): An Illiberal democracy, known as a hybrid regime, is a rank where the people still have the rights to practice their democratic powers, but it either includes authoritarian elements or privileges to a certain group. A group, whether it would be ethnic, religious or nationality, is allowed to participate in democratic affairs, while other groups of different demographics aren't. While it isn't a general definition of an illiberal democracy, it is a prime example.

  • Majoritarian Democracy: A form of democracy where the demographic (ethnicity, religion, nationality, etc) that makes up a majority has privileges of full citizenship and can participate in democratic institutions, while a demographic minority are either classified as residents or undesirables with little to no democratic power.

    • Religious majoritarianism.

    • Ethno-Republic.

  • Electocracy: A system of government where a head of state or representative group is elected by the common citizen, but said citizens cannot participate in any other democratic institutions. The elected representatives can use any power and decide many things they desire without needing public approval until their reign ends either by finishing their duties or losing the next election.

    • Dominant-party republic.

    • Congressional oligarchy.

    • Elective theocracy.

    • Elected autocracy.

    • Semi-Constitutional monarchy.

Anocracy (2.01 to 4): An anocracy is a rank of a democratic society, sometimes to be considered a borderline dictatorship. In simple definitions, an anocracy is a mixture of a dictatorship and democracy, or an authoritarian regime with democratic institutions.

Autocracy (0 to 2): An autocracy is a system of government where the ruler or head of state can decide anything he or she desires. The process of choosing the next national leader isn't made by the decision of the people nor an election, or can be processed by fraudulent elections.

  • Oligarchy: Form of power structure voted and decided by a small group of people within the government or a council.

    • Minoritarianism.

    • Technocracy.

    • Plutocracy.

    • Central council.

    • Modern Aristocracy.

  • Despotism: Form of government in which a single entity rules with absolute power.

    • One-Party Republic.

    • Civilian dictatorship.

    • Military dictatorship.

  • Absolute Monarchy: Form of government in which the monarch holds autocratic authority and decides anything with absolute power.

    • Elective Monarchy.

    • Hereditary Monarchy

    • Feudal Aristocracy.

One absolute jerk of a cloud has in fact decided to undermine the moment, but Letwin ignores it and hugs Soot. "I suppose you're right. And really, thank you, that is quite a compliment indeed."
