I would like to be the first to congratulate Densaner, whom the mods have voted to be "most inhospitable, charmless, and ghastly places to spend a vacation, or, indeed, any time at all." You're number one, Den.

I'd like to thank my secret police...oh, I promised myself I wouldn't cry....my private military contractors, and my hairdresser, Daphne. I couldn't have done it without you all!

When you have friends from around the world, they can keep you occupied and diverted from thoughts of despair and depression around the clock until you fall asleep.

I want you to know, Holly, that we are here for you and support you any way that we can. God Bless.

I guess that's one of the perks of being a smaller region

This is the thing about NS. Communities form and we all care for and support one another through the times, both good and bad.

I would suggest banning him I think it appropriate as it appears he is just jumping across regions

It has been far too long since I've attempted to put some culture into this region. So I submit this piece of excellence by Roy Helton call "Old Christmas Morning."

In case you're wondering, that would be the 12th day of Christmas, or "Little Christmas," or "The Feast of the Epiphany." January 6. Folk lore has it that flowers bloom on that day and that the animals can speak. Also, the dead can communicate with the living.

"Where you coming from, Lomey Carter,
So airly over the snow?
And what's them pretties you got in your hand,
And where you aiming to go?

"Step in, Honey: Old Christmas morning
I ain't got nothing much;
Maybe a bite of sweetness and corn bread,
A little ham meat and such,

"But come in, Honey! Sally Anne Barton's
Hungering after your face.
Wait till I light my candle up:
Set down! There's your old place.

Now where you been so airly this morning?"
"Graveyard, Sally Anne.
Up by the trace in the salt lick meadows
Where Taulbe kilt my man."

"Taulbe ain't to home this morning . . .
I can't scratch up a light:
Dampness gets on the heads of the matches;
But I'll blow up the embers bright."

"Needn't trouble. I won't be stopping:
Going a long ways still."

"You didn't see nothing, Lomey Carter,
Up on the graveyard hill?"

"What should I see there, Sally Anne Barton?"
"Well, sperits do walk last night."
"There were an elder bush a-blooming
While the moon still give some light."

"Yes, elder bushes, they bloom, Old Christmas,
And critters kneel down in their straw.
Anything else up in the graveyard?"
"One thing more I saw:

I saw my man with his head all bleeding
Where Taulbe's shot went through."

" What did he say?" " He stooped and kissed me."
"What did he say to you?"

"Said, Lord Jesus forguv your Taulbe;
But he told me another word;
He said it soft when he stooped and kissed me.
That were the last I heard."

"Taulbe ain't to home this morning."
"I know that, Sally Anne,
For I kilt him, coming down through the meadow
Where Taulbe kilt my man.

"I met him upon the meadow trace
When the moon were fainting fast,
And I had my dead man's rifle gun
And kilt him as he come past."

"But I heard two shots." "'Twas his was second:
He shot me 'fore be died:
You'll find us at daybreak, Sally Anne Barton:
I'm laying there dead at his side."

Is there anyone in this region besides Densaner, Dorig, A Down and Dusky Blonde, Holly United, Rivierenland, Rongorongo, Americatain, and Republic of Sernia??? Or is it just that culture cannot be bestowed up on the rest of you?

I feel a limerick coming.

Well, as you already know, I’m a bit of a culture vulture. 🍑💨

That being said, it’s basically the WA members and a whole bunch of puppets. I challenge any long-standing native here who has never contributed to the RMB to prove me wrong.

As I’ve stated before, we could probably lose 90% regional population and see no significant reduction in RMB activity.

That is so sad. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

I blame cards. I like them, and play cards, but many nations in many regions are just card mining puppets. I also blame raiders, and by necessity and extension, defenders.

The Fried Head of A Down and Dusky Blonde

I could care less about cards, but care more about the communities that form and the people in them.

The Windy Kingdom of Noxious Air

Here's what I don't like about cards: My 3 are "rare," but Den has 2 "ultra-rares" and an "Epic"? Who makes these decisions? Does Den have a secret tryst with some mod? I bust my butt in this region, trying to bring some culture and sophistication to the rabble, and I'm just "rare?" What's next for me? "Uncommon?" Or the dreaded "Common?"

The Fried Head of A Down and Dusky Blonde

I've always wondered what the criteria for naming the cards was. I have nations with over 40 billion populations and they are either Uncommon or Common. The only ones that are rare are a founder nations.

The Union Republic of Densaner

I’d just like to say that I feel completely shafted by my personal card rank. I started as an Epic and my last two have been Ultra Rares. I’m within the top 1200 or so nations for population, and even higher for influence ranking. I’ve been delegate multiple times in this region. I’ve got all the known Easter eggs, and I’ve got 25 badges over various issues that place me in the top 1%. IMHO, taken together, all my cards should be Epics based on these facts.

Noxious Air wrote:Does Den have a secret tryst with some mod?

A gentleman never tells. 😊

Noxious Air wrote:Or the dreaded "Common?"

Don’t knock being common. Sometimes people forget that some common cards can be extremely rare. Common means there’s a lot of those types of cards. Not necessarily for that particular nation. The highest value card in the game at the moment is an uncommon one. The most valuable common card is worth 300.00 bank.

A Down and Dusky Blonde wrote:I could care less about cards, but care more about the communities that form and the people in them.

I like both. 😉

Perhaps a card porpoise, maybe a card dolphin.

Codements on ice sounds rather thin for dinner.
