Tocan, it's absolutely amazing how much effort you've put into the constitution. I can't thank you enough.

Nuclear energy gets a pretty bad rap because of things like Chernobyl, but it’s really a reliable type of energy if managed well. It has problems, and it really isn’t ideal, but it’s a good transition energy to renewable imo and it’s so much better than fossil fuels.

ikr i had to spend an hour convincing my science class nuclear was renewable and good but they wouldn't budge

i mean, i understand where anti-nuclear sentiment comes from, but it's honestly naive of someone to say "nuclear bad!" without any acknowledgement of the pros of it. Nuclear is a good source of energy, of course it has problems, but the complete attack on nuclear we see from some people is rooted in ignorance.

Nuclear is the safest form of energy. Significantly safer than coal, oil, or natural gas. It’s also much more reliable than renewables such as solar and wind because you know... sometimes it isn’t sunny or windy? My opinion is that nuclear should be used as a transitional energy from fossil fuels, which are absolutely horrible and we literally have to stop using them ASAP, to renewables which are ideal.

In Piedmont region of georgia it's always sunny unless it's not which is like 2~3 days a month

ok but thats a trivial detail which ignores the greater point i was trying to make...

anyway
I had a discussion with my dad about how we need to use nuclear energy as a transition, and it went in one ear and out the other

my dad: "would you want to live next to a nuclear power plant?"
me: "i mean no??? but would you rather live next to a fossil fuel plant?"
him: "it's a different risk."
me: "yeah, and it's a risk that's significantly lower than that of living next to a fossil fuel plant."
him: "you can't compare them. it's a different risk"
me: "they're actually very easy to compare. if you look at stats"

*sigh*

If you go to Philly near the bridge you will see a coal burning plant and there are these huge pillars of smoke coming out, in total unrelation that area has high lung cancer.

what a coincidence

Strange coincidence. Who would have thought that burning coal causes lung cancer???

Question: when was your nation's date of independence, or date of creation?
