Mine just arrived.

[Katanunkerver received the event: failed assassination attempt]
My diplomat walks up to yours, before saying
“Good day sir, we had been hoping to se-“
Before he could finish his words, a bullet shot could be heard in the distance, slightly muffled therefore filling everyone’s suspicions of a potential assassin. My guard quickly uses a radio to order the police to arrest the assassin. The diplomat tries to hide the Ushornaian diplomat in a safe area where the assassin couldn’t shoot. When the police arrived, the assassin has already ran from the scene, causing the order of an investigation.

A few days later, it was found out that the ballistic markings of the bullet were the same as the VSS Victoria, a popular sniper rifle for either self defence or shooting a fast moving target. However, the thing that lead to the arrest was a bullet case found in a building near the assassination attempt, and it was found out to be that it had Jennifer Khenin (the leader of the communist party in voting sessions), he was quickly arrested, with the punishment still to be decided by the country.

It was decided that he’ll be sent to an abandoned island with no food, no supplies, ect. Some arguments were raised saying this was inhumane, but they were ignored.

Report from the UN envoy in Pruerus to the United Nations General Assembly
With the government of the UN mission in Pruerus having had time to settle itself down and establish basic government functions, i believe it only makes sense to update the international community on the current state of the region. As it stands, quite possibly the biggest triumph of the transitional government has been to, well, transition the nation from an absolute monarchy to a functional, modern democracy. With the exception of some rural areas, it seems people have been fully open to the reforms established by both the newly elected representatives and the administrative council, and voter turnout during the first legislative elections reached a surprisingly high 80%, and in general it appears the regime was already on its dying breath by the time the war declaration came around.
Asides from that, economy, social and infrastructure wise, development has been moving along nicely. While we have certainly faced less issues than Interian, it seems like in particular the economic side of things is facing some issues; in particular agriculture and family ran businesses are used to the policies of the old regime, and transitioning into an open market has been more than complicated, and social wise we're already seeing some polarization crop up, with centralism and federalism being the most controversial ideologies, it does seem like we're still a long way from achieving national unity after the regime.
By far the most challenging aspect of the process has been international relations. The almost isolationist stance of the former regime has made the culture of the nation fully based on nationalism and inner identity, and for many, especially in the countryside, becoming an active member on the global stage has been quite a system shock, with heavy opposition. For many, the presence of UN, xenickese and ushornaian forces is nothing other than an armed occupation, which has made the possibility of the formation of insurgencies our biggest concern security wise. It may be necessary to consolidate our forces in areas with high UN support while things calm down, because right now we may not have the force needed to put down an insurgency.

Where his brother had failed, he would succeed.

The Rania family was a large one. Golokidus Rania was the eldest male after his brother had been killed. Now, today, on Reat Island, he would succeed where his brother had failed. He met with his wife, Malpa Rania, to discuss strategy. He had been the one behind what had happened at Edun, but at the time he was vengeful over his brother’s death and acted rashly. He had been crushed with the force of a thousand anvils, and the damn republic had proven victorious. No more. He wouldn’t fail, he couldn’t fail, if he failed he would be killed. The Rania family was a large one.

A year ago, he had found a crashed plane filled with weapons and ammunition. He had used these to assemble an army of likeminded people that numbered in the thousands. He only had a few sniper rifles, but they were killed or captured at the bridge. He made his last stand at Edun, facing an army in the tens of thousands.

A year before that, his brother had tried to stage a coup in Seraka, but it only lasted a day. The army dragged his out of the government building and put a bullet in his head.

Golokidus Rania pointed to where they were: Reat Island. They would have to start to revolution from there. If they could get the support of monarchies across the world, maybe they would have a chance of winning. His revolution started tonight. A letter was drafted and sent to Seraka, and Golokidus’s troops started marching to the capital of Reat Island Julivarso. The time of King Golokidus had begun.

Wait, so now there’s a civil war happening?
