When I was 12 My father got me a pig. I always wanted a pig, something about them just screamed adorable. Maybe it was all the cartoons I saw that depicted them as cuddly little creatures, or the videos on the noosphere that portrayed them as larger, pinker dogs. When he took me to the pet store to ask what pet I wanted, I remember getting upset that there wasn't a pig in the store. And I remember crying in joy when he still managed to find me one. I named him Ilo. My father told me he was a teacup pig, and would always stay tiny and cuddleable. It only took us two weeks to find out how wrong he was. We fed Ilo what we thought was a good amount, but he always came over and rubbed against my leg like he was hungry. Even though dad told me not to, I would always try and sneak him my food scraps, or let him rummage around in the pantry. Even though I knew I shouldn't have. In two weeks he had grown thirty pounds. It was like that constantly. He wasn't a teacup pig, he was a butcher boar. He grew with me, bigger and stronger. Although we didnt really match each other, I was a relatively normal size, he was massive. But we grew nonetheless. Matured beside each other. I remember coming home so many times crying and just cuddling him. Although his weight was often crushing I wouldn't let go. It was weird though, when I brought friends home, they would often be quickly fascinated, or maybe a little apprehensive, then go all in on hugs, only to be driven away almost by peer pressure once they told someone else. It got lonely on weekends when people didnt want to come over. My mother said when she was my age she always had friends over, to the point she claimed that at any given time she had 5 rotating siblings. When I was 15, and Ilo was about 3, I found photos of my mom when she was my age. She had worn her hair up and had no eyebrows. Her mask only covered half her face. The other half was intricately and intensely covered in multicolored makeup. Each photo was of her with another boy, each of them always provocatively dressed, well, more than provocative. Beyond what I thought possible, considering nudism. She bragged about sex and her experience, and how things were always better when she was young. Her bragging about her youth made me forget about mine, as it passed before my eyes. Everyone else seemed so right in their positions, not jubilantly happy, but beyond satisfied with their precious moments. I spent it in apprehension, worried I would miss out on an experience, missing those experiences as I thought about missing them. It was cruel. My mother, had an idea, her intentions may have been pure but her heart had for years been blackened by the cigarette smoke of debauchery, her execution was less than successful. She brought me shopping, and told me Ilo had to stay home. She was scared of his power over me I think, she didnt want to be outdone by a pig. We went shopping, for clothes, makeup. She had endeavoured to pull out all of the stops. Everytime I stepped out of a dressing room in another revealing black lace dress she would clap and applaud. I can still hear the chime of her credit card getting accepted, and having me carry an ever increasing amount of bags from each boutique in the shengen district. I only realized what she wanted of me when we were walking through the busy sidewalks. She wanted me to be like the other girls she saw, the ones with the chalk white makeup that caked their faces, with the black lipstick and the whips and chains. With every purchase, she was hoping I would blend in. She wanted to have photos of me, in half masks, with intricate unblended makeup, sitting next to a different partner. She didnt want her daughter to be small and content. And here I am, those dresses still fit, but I never wear them. At one point, I put on my first mask, to hide the tears, to hide myself from other people, I only took it off when my best friend was around, but I dont know if he understood what it meant. The Slavs A.K.A Sclavonii, Junzky The Slavic People of Lignuntia are the Second Largest Ethno-Linguistic Group and one of the most prominent. The Slavs of Lignuntia originate from the Slavic Migration into Laudica in the Late 100s A.D and Invasion of the Iunan People. Stewartikan-Lignuns Stewartikan Lignuns A.K.A “Stevartiani” are a Recent Immigrant Group that have Settled in Lignuntia. Opinions on the Sufet have been higher then ever, in part due to the increased amount of messaging talking about how great he is. There has been some more extreme political parties (Such as the NeoPunic Glory Faction or NPGF, a formerly fringes ultra nationalistic party) gaining traction for the upcoming elections for the house of commoners. For the first time in two Decades the Lignunti People finally feel as if the grey cloud of Bellum isn't looming over them in conjunction with one of the clearest, warmest and most vibrant summers Lignuntia has seen for half a century, some are calling this the "Bloomer Revival" while others dub it the "Anti-Depression". Of course, there is still sadness over the Partition and the Deadly Conflict in Iuno and many are extremely suspicious and afraid of the new Socialist Republic in the East, most no longer advocate for the notion of reunification but instead for Co-operation and fraternity between the two Lignunti States, this has culminated in the "Bloodless Iuno" movement which promotes Pacifism and Peace between Aquitania and Constantinople will many unhappy with the Iuno Wall and Crimes of the Eastern Armed Forces. A Great joy has also been felt with the influx of Immigrants from Stewartika who Lignuns see as respectable and extremely similar to themselves, overall, being very friendly and welcoming to them and living alongside them peacefully, it would seem Multiculturalism is finally paying off in Lignuntia instead of sowing divisions. The Lignunti Governments' main Goals are implementing New Labour, Creating meaningful and fruitful relations with foreign countries and ensuring Lignunti Strength and Pride in their nation. Consul Blair being recorded quoting Caesar-Consul Ludovicus after the Siege of Novo Eboraco stating "Pax domi, pax in mundo." One can only hope this prosperity continues, and that a New Pax Ligana may arise, Lignuntia is prepared and it will start anew facing all the challenges the world throws at it with a stiff upper lip and a defying attitude. | |||
| The Inglorious Sufetdom of Qart Qart Hadasht | Quick question, I've been having a few ideas recently for other types of rp and all that don't revolve around QQH, and non carthage themed stuff, and some things on my other interests, and I've also had some ideas of doing a country and trying to run it legitimately well and in a way that's ethical . And especially since i've been ramping up for some riskier (and unethical) stuff with QQH, I would like to ask if you guys think it would be fine if I start an alt account for NS. I really like the style of rp inside of RGBN, and I wouldnt really want to do something elsewhere, especially since some of my friends are in RGBN. And yes, I've read the rules about making alt accounts, but I just want to see if it would be fine if i do it in a way that wouldn't benefit QQH in any way whatsoever (Maybe like running a semi-autonomous region of an existing nation). I would still mostly focus on QQH, but I just have some other things I want to do in NS that I cant do with QQH. Hope you guys understand :) | |||
