Convoluted. Not only does it roll off the tongue well, it’s a way more fun way of saying “confusing.”

(ftr they totally toned this question down in creepiness from the original draft)

Tbh moist is pretty much fine, it's the more disease-ish vibe ones I hate. Like fetid, mucus or bile.

I would say a few of the old sleeping beauty tales. I'm sure there are more creepy ones but these are the only ones to come to mind. The stories essentially make it sound ok that she was kissed/raped while asleep/dead and child birth is often what wakes her. Then a few versions continue on with how the children are almost eaten, depending on which old tale you read.

If you go back to the old Grimm versions of them, they are all pretty damn terrifying in reality. Fairy tales back then were the equivalent of horror movies today.

The Christian children's bedtime prayer was the first to spring to mind, not so much for being 'creepy' (though some variations have lines about angels watching you all night), but the line "If I should die before I 'wake, I pray the Lord my Soul to take" is basically guaranteeing insomnia among anxious children.

I am not certain how 'rating' words works, so I do not know what words would be 'underrated'. As for 'interesting', while I could complain bitterly about words that are misused these days (Viking, Longsword) or words whose meanings have become the opposite of what they were (awful, egregious), I will go with 'glamour' - a word that retained its spelling during the creation of American English because it is etymologically Scottish, not English, and the creators of American English were specifically trying to distance themselves from England but had no grudges towards Scotland.

Vasilisa the Beautiful would be mildly disturbing if you're a bad parent to your stepchild/ren.

General Assembly Resolution # 499 will not be followed by Whiskany! Come and make me WA and you will witness the full rath of The Dark Empire!!!

We believe this was a massive over-reach and power grab by the WA. Each nation has the right to govern within its boarders and territories!

The Lightsaber! It has many variations, especially if you look at legends. It can cut through almost anything. Did I also mention it glows?
In terms of swords that don't need reinventing, I would say my favorite is the scimitar. I like the curved design. It was used in a variety of militaries across the world. It is closely followed by the historical gladius and longsword tho.
