Today, after weeks of debate in the Eismirian Senate, the vote was finally held on the criminalization of The Eismirian Revanchist Party.

The Eismirian Revanchist Party is a recent political movement in Eismir revolving around a loose coalition of Far Right groups advocating for a bolstering in the Eismiran Army, a strengthening of Eismirian border control removal of Nationalization from Eismirian industry, and a large scale Investigation in Eismirian illegal immigration and deportation.

"This "Political movement" as they call themselves are nothing more then Brown Shirt thugs." says President Leon Platt to the Senate.
"They are a threat to our democracy and human rights, seeking to tear down the Fabric of our society based on ridiculous scaremongering. This frankly dangerous movement must be stopped before it gets out of control. How long before they use this proposed military for a Coop? How long before they move door to door executing "Undesirables". it shames me to have once called Trevor Steale[Leader of The Eismirian Liberal Party and Prime opposition of this bill] a Friend. To think he would support such twisted individuals... It betrays everything he claims to stand for."

Trevor Steale had this to say,
"The only threat to democracy here is you Mr. Platt. Restricting those with contrary viewpoints to you is textbook tyranny. I trust the Senate will vote for freedom this day. We must not allow ourselves to silence dissent, no matter how extreme it appears"

The Labor controlled Senate is expected to pass the bill.

I am currently quite startled at the new President elect at USA.
Oh well, should be an interesting next 4 years.

Another newsworthy update is that I have been nominated by our Prime Minister and confirmed by our Imperial Council as a Silver Knight, as an award for my steadfast leadership as Prime Minister. I served our community between September 2015 and January 2017, with the exception of the March through April (2015) term.
