The Empire of Equestria-Atlantia

Fire and Blood
Ophelia paced back and forth in her office, “They rejected the treaty?” she asked her son incredulously

“Yes mother, they rejected it and sent back their own treaty,” replied Roseheart.

“I assume they are calling for independence and for an end to the war?” asked Ophelia.

“Yes, they are, they are also stating they want a restoration of formal relations once it is all said and done,” stated Roseheart, looking over the copy of the treaty he had been given.

“They are mad…delusional…” stated Ophelia as she turned to face her son.

“Well I’d assume the gases went to their heads mother,” Replied Roseheart, turning to open the office door as the foreign minister entered.

“Ah, greetings Mr. Streissmann! Just the stallion we wanted to see.” declared Ophelia.

Streissmann nodded politely to the crown prince and Ophelia before stating, “I have looked over the treaty, it is merely fluff, it is degrading of our status,” he stated, moving to pour himself a glass of brandy from a crystal decanter on a side table.

“Indeed, that is what my son was telling me,” replied Ophelia.

“It is certainly a complex issue,” answered Streissmann, downing the glass of brandy in a gulp, before setting the crystal glass on the table.

“Well, what do you advise we do…we are running out of ways to counter them, and this peace treaty, our peace treaty, is the only option Equestria is willing to accept,” asked Ophelia.

“Yes…of course, well, you see the situation would be very easy if we weren’t being backed by Hegemonica itself, normally I’d advise as a staunch non-interventionist that we accept the terms they have given us, however, because Hegemonica is backing us with their force, this is a matter of the wider Hegemony,” he replied.

“Of course, that is what I am already aware of,” nodded Ophelia.

“In this situation then, I’d advise we hunker down on our demands, we make our position on these…people…very clear,” Streissmann continued.

“Mother was discussing moving the method of warfare and making it highly automated, it is harder to engage waves of mindless drones than bodies of flesh and blood,” stated Roseheart.

“Yes, indeed I am no military strategist, but if it enforces our position then I’d agree to this matter,” Streissmann replied looking over at Roseheart.

“Would a speech work, where I restate our demands?” enquired Ophelia.

“Yes, it would. Make it galactically available so that our allies are able to understand the matter clearly,” replied Streissmann.

“Very well then, thank you minister,” replied Ophelia, smiling as she rang up some orders to get a camera crew in the office asap.

Streissmann merely nodded and then left, shutting the door quietly. An hour later lights had been set up and a camera crew was readied, at approximately 5:00 PM Canterlot time, the televisions across the nation and the galaxy where Equestrian television could be reached flashed to an image of Ophelia behind her desk, her face stern and imposing, then she began to speak.

“My dear citizens, and allies, in the early 2630s during the waning years of the Untecnan Imperium, the false king Robert Atreides tricked an innocent nation into signing away their rights to independence for loyalty to the throne of Untecna, thus began a century long war between us the Untecnans and those who support them in said nation. That nation as you know is Surainion, a once innocent and peaceful nation torn apart by radical terrorists who cling to the past.

As many of you know these terrorists sent forth their demands to us, rejecting our offer for peace, which as you know, was fair…it offered a two-state solution where the pro-humanists could retain their sovereignty within their stronghold in exchange for peace…however, these individuals were not pleased with the fairness of this offer, they want the entire pie for themselves. But, in their rejection, they forgot that they lost the right to their territory when they joined the side of the Untecnans a century ago. You see, by siding with those abusers, those who propagated the Magna Conversio, the government of the state of Surainion became null and void to the galaxy.

As such, Equestria sought to restore them to their glory through the establishment of a provisional government which would restore the nation to a happy and peaceful equilibrium, however, they, being brainless inebriates, did not understand this, and engaged in war against a nation three times their size, with allies ten times their size.

Thus, I offer the last olive branch to these cavemen, accept our terms for peace, or be wiped off the face of the galaxy, your names forgotten, and your nation ruined. Your cities are already in ruins, your people lie in shallow graves across the land, their blood turning the ground red. Therefore accept our terms of peace, or I shall see to it that your nation burns for the next 1,000 years I am in power. You may think of yourselves, men of steel and of power, but I am Ophelia LaFleur and I am of fire and blood, and within me lies the fire of the ancients, the power of the sun and stars, do not test my will…for the snake when touched..bites and poisons the flesh and heart.

See to it that you consider our terms of peace, for the Hegemony never loses.”

The Aeternum Hegemony of Socialist States of Ludistan

Hegemonic National Assembly Election

Democracy. What a strange thing, at least to the Ludist people. If someone had told King Isaac II that democracy would be brought to the Ludist Empire, he would not laugh at you, but he would think that it would be due to the Lombardo Dynasty being overthrown in a bloody revolution. But that’s not the case. Not in the slightest.

With the creation of the Hegemonic Nation Assembly, a time of democracy has ushered in over The Hegemony. Much to the disappointment of some aristocrats and noblemen, but to the joy of commoners all over The Hegemony. And now it was time to hold something that the Ludist Empire hasn’t held in a very, very long time. It’s time to hold an election.

The way that the election works is that each member of The Hegemony has a certain number of seats, that they can elect the parties that they’re voting for to. The Ludist Empire has 80 seats, due to the fact that they current possess 80,000 solar systems under their control. A respectable number, but one they’re looking to increase. There is also something called a clergyman seat, which in the Ludist Empire will be a Kristic Priest holding. The idea of the matter is that it should be the entire Ludist population electing their clergyman, however the Ludist leadership has agreed that such things such be in the hand of the Church itself, and not the general public.

Just like in Callaxium, a poll would be held around a month before the election. And the results of that poll would be as follows:

Kristic Peoples Union: 60% - 48 seats

Starlist Purity Party: 10% - 8 seats

Hereclaenist Alliance: 25% - 20 seats

Hegemonic Internationale: 2,5% - 2 seats

Loyalist Party: 2,5% - 2 seats

Unexpectedly the Kristic Peoples Union was seemingly by far the most popular party among Ludist voters. But you never know what could happen in an election. The poll also makes it clear that Ludist voters very strongly favour politically conservative and socially traditionalist political parties, which was not at all unforeseen. Around a month after the poll was held, it was time for the actual election. Atheists counting of the votes was broadcasted to all of The Hegemony, and the results were as follows:

Kristic Peoples Union: 52,5% - 42 seats

Starlist Purity Party: 37,5% - 30 seats

Hereclaenist Alliance: 3,75% - 3 seats

Loyalist Party: 6,25% - 5 seats

The votes have been tallied, and the election results are clear. The two dominant parties were the Kristic Peoples Union, obviously, and the Starlist Purity Party. Furthermore it would also be televised that Grand Priest Sebastian de Kristupas would be chosen as the clergyman to sit in the Hegemonic National Assembly.

Behind the scenes, the Kristic Peoples Union, seeing how popular both parties were among Ludist candidates, would ask the Starlist Purity Party, as well as the Loyalist Party, that also fared quite well, if the three of them should join together in a political coalition, to preserve their interests in the National Assembly.

I've been there... what do you use for writing down RP posts? The ones I use save inconsistently, if at all.
