Sad that many people look up to these two parties that are not ever going to work in their best interest. The truth is the masses are being completely manipulated into a Us vs Them mentality on both sides. People are not encouraged to shift to a more self-sufficient lifestyle that will benefit them most and help them determine how much they really need for themselves.

Disappointed, Concerned, but not surprised. Given that 21% of US adults are functionally illiterate (66% of which are american born) and 54% only read bellow a 6th grade level, the fact that people are either unable to consider that there is more at stake then the price of groceries or just take everything they see on social media at face value is to be expected. As such, Trump baselessly stating that he was gonna fix everything while not actually giving solutions that could feasibly work was gonna end up convincing a lot of people to vote for him. This is not including the fact that apparently a lot of people don't understand how Tariffs work and that the American consumer will end up paying for it, or that the majority of tax cuts were given out to the rich.

At this point, I don't really expect the US to be a Superpower for much longer. I can only hope that they also erode the influence of countries such as Russia, North Korea, or China to the point of no longer being major players on the world stage. But even that is a pipe dream at the end of the day.

UPDATE: The Antarctican Commonwealths is no longer a stratocracy but rather a meritocracy with stratocratic influences, as I cannot reconcile having the military control the majority of the government with no civillian legislature, judicial system, etc. and an actually functioning government that gives a relatively high standard of living to it's people.

Primarily because the more I develop and world build this setting, the more it ends up being a commentary on how any sufficiently large enough government ends up having to treat its citizens as numbers.

I can see some of your points but I won't argue. Next election I will, but that's because I'll be able to vote.
In hindsight I would probably not of asked due to the fear of being exiled by such cool people as yourselves, and the acknowledgment that since I can't vote I shouldn't run my mouth on it anyways.
