I have an e-mail from 4 years ago. Him being away for 10+ days isn’t hugely out of character.

Also, there is no shame in beginning your post-secondary education at a community college. Once you get an associate degree you can transfer to a university. I wish that I had done that coming out of HS because I was just not mature enough to go to a university yet (Even though I had excellent test scores and solid grades and extracurriculars, I flunked out of my first semester because of that immaturity coinciding with the emergence of my bipolar disorder.) and had already excelled in some summer courses that I took at my local CC during summer breaks.

Constitution of Forest:

Article 7 - Founder Ceasing to Exist

7.1 Should the founder cease to exist, the WA delegate has emergency authority to take on the roles generally reserved for the founder. The WA delegate shall only have those powers identified in this constitution and should he step outside of these authorities, a new WA delegate shall be informally selected by the WA nations, preferably with the Forest Keeper's (if separate nations) recommendation. Change of the WA delegate during this emergency period shall be undertaken only if absolutely necessary.

7.2 The WA delegate shall password protect Forest without distributing the password as soon as possible. Forest will then take a 3 week (21 day) waiting period. During this time plans may be made for re-founding but no active re-founding actions will be undertaken. All elections and recall elections are suspended until the founder returns or Forest is successfully re-founded. Should the founder return at any time of the re-founding process, Forest shall return to normal. If the WA delegate also cease to exist the nation with the most endorsements is the new WA delegate.

7.3 The WA delegate shall work to re-found Forest. First an election will be held similar to elections in Article 4.

7.4 Once a founder is selected a dummy region will be created and all nations will be encouraged and eventually forced to move to the dummy region or face ejection from Forest. The new founder nation will be the last remaining nation in Forest. The new founder nation will not re-found Forest immediately after clearing all nations from forest but will wait an undisclosed period of time, perhaps as long as months until re-founding. If the name Forest is lost Forest will live on under a new name of the new founding nation’s choosing. Forest is more than a name.

7.5 Once Forest is re-founded this constitution is no longer valid. Most or all of this constitution may be used by the re-founding nations of Forest if they so choose, however.

I really don’t think we should attempt to refound Forest should we go founderless. I wrote that when Forest was much smaller and had a much lower profile. I refound would almost certainly fail now. I suggest we lock Forest and create a new region and encourage everyone move there.

What is the difference between refounding and creating a new region in this case? Just the preservation of the region's name?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here people. The chances of any of this being necessary are low. I only raised this topic in order to explain the lack of progress on the constitutional amendment.

Speaking personally as someone a tad experienced with the mechanics of raiding (I think you know why), I don't honestly think locking and moving to a similar region would be all that necessary, given the endorsement rates (given 30 raider jumpers [which is itself unlikely], a sleeper agent would still need 57 in-Forest endorsements that would vanish once they were revealed at present), influence levels (literal years to even begin making any progress on the WA population [though I recognize the non-WA population is more vulnerable]), and the complete lack of traditional recruitment in operation meaning that we lack dependence on a constant changeover of new people to sustain the community and endorsement levels (and thus meaning we have no single person or people we'd start to rot away without).

Edit: Or to sum, basically the only difference in what can happen with a Founderless Forest is that there might be a raid done every once in a while (very few people have the time or inclination to be able to run a sleeper to get the appropriate endo numbers) so that those doing the raiding can say things along the lines of 'look what we region we raided, git gud defenders!"

Well if Errinundera CTEs even for a short time, Yggdrasil Defense Service (Our version of an army) can swoop in and endorse Ransium just to be on the safer side.

In my humble opinion ofcourse no raider will try to usurp over 86 endorsements. That’s not even a possibility to consider. However, should Errin CTE I’m sure YDS can come in and boost your Endorsement count just to be on the safer side because let’s Err on the side of caution.
