The Empire of Bathera

1 Is anything real?
Our memories are imperfect
our senses can be fooled
2 is reality, reality because we believe it, or because it is? What of fact or truth?
3 is reality shared or individual?
4 are our persalities our own or amalgamations of those we interact with and those who came before?
5 will the past continue repeating itself, or is it a never ending loop of creation and destruction? what was before the beginning, and what will be after the end? Will there ever truly be an end?
6 does time exist because we measure it or does it continue on regardless?
7 does having access to every bit of information truly make us more intelligent, or does it make us infinitely more stupid because we don't think for ourselves?
8 if rebellion is the norm, is normality rebellious?

6 does time exist because we measure it or does it continue on regardless
7 does having access to every bit of information truly make us more intelligent, or does it make us infinitely more stupid because we don't think for ourselves

1: I think so, something has to be for us to exist. Even if it were all a simulation the simulation would still be a real thing that exists.

2: Factual reality is what exists around you and your personal reality is what you can perceive.

For example a fact would be the moon is not made of cheese because cheese is man made, your personal reality might be that you can’t see ultraviolet so it’s as if it doesn’t exist until you look through a special camera. Where as to a bee or dragonfly it is always there.

3: Factual reality is shared, your personal reality is individual

4: Your personality is your own, but it is in its early days formed from an amalgamation of experiences as well as brain chemistry.

5: I think the universe could potentially be like a hose where you’ve got stretchy parts and small joining parts , each ending is as the universe compresses itself to move through a small joining part and each big bang is it bursting through into a stretchy part before the universe can stretch no more.

6: Time happens whether you measure it or not.

7: No, intelligence is being able to critically think about the information and then understand what it all means and whether it’s useful or not.

That’s my pov anyway.

Man, that reminds me of my year 8 English extension assessment where I had to choose a topic and make a video essay, and because I was going through (and kind of still am going through) a 'Is everything real or fake/The Truman Show style world' phase, I did the video essay on derealisation and depersonalisation and it was deep.

Exactly. Republicans now have a majority not only in the Senate, but also in the House of Representatives. As expected, unfortunately

mostly because thecurrent and even past administrations have lacked any real substance and have only added to the list of problems everyday americans face - high cost of food, gas, housing, many feel frustrated about the amount of things illegal immigrants are granted - be it free stays at hotels or [frustrated with]* the supposed high amount of crimes some may be commiting.

many hate his rhetoric and ofen ego-fueled speech - he says a lot that triggers people, and that image usually is what people first think when they hear his name - but to the average taxpaying American years of frustration of corrupt [b]eurocratic* leadership has lead to a resurgence of Trump's popularity and eventual win in the election.

1.Yes. Even if we are in a simulation the simulation itself is our reality

2. There is objective vs. subjective reality. Objective reality is what I would say is the true reality as it does ultimately exists independent of our perception
of it. A fact is objective reality and I guess you can argue that truth is more subjective. What is true for me might not be true for you.

3. Our experience of the objective reality is individual and we are interpret it differently based of our own life siutations. Even a shared experiences are filtered through our own individual lens.

4. Our personalities are a mix of nature and nurture in my opinion. I think we are born with certain predispositions and genetic factors that influence our personality and then there is the personality that we develop through our interactions with other people. For example, I think that I am naturally more inclined to be an analytical, academic type as my family is not really like that but being a perfectionist is something I developed after being degraded by my teachers. Our personalities are both unique to us AND a reflection of the people we know.

5. The universe seems to operate with cycles so I'll go with that. The other questions are difficult to answer but I think it'll be a whole lot of nothing.

6. Time is an objective reality so it exists independently of our perception of it. Even if we didn't measure it it would be flowing.

7. Access to information is not the same as intelligence. If we are rely solely on external sources and don't actually use critical thinking we are "stupid"

8. It's a paradox. Society expects you to follow certain rules + everyone starts breaking those rules = no longer rebellion.

Because the turnout was 43.5%. If my math is right.

Let's explore this a bit.

The calculated altogether votes for all parties and independent and third parties roughly is 150,189,142. The US population as of 2024 is roughly 345,426,571. That's a horrifically low percentage of folks that voted.

There's your answer. Not a lot of people voted. And by "not a lot," I mean hundreds of millions.
