You do understand how silly it is to immediately delete the messages of people who genuinely are trying to get into community but simply don't have a lot to say yet right? I think that rule should be used more sparingly to prevent actual spam instead of people who are just trying to converse... Otherwise you end up doing more harm than good
I don't know why you are defending people spamming the RMB and breaking the rules, but these rules are in place for a reason. If newbies want to say hi, they can do so once as a greeting.

They don’t always. Often they’ll get told by a user and then amend their message. It is usually only if they continue without listening then they get bonked on the head. At least from what i’ve seen as of late.

I've been almost absent from NS for only a few days, but after reading almost 750 posts on RMB, I have no regrets. Endless piles of garbage... And it's not even summer.
I also don't regret that I almost didn't participate in Z-Day. It was my first time, but I will never wait for that event again unlike N-Day, for which I might have even sacrificed sleep
