The Federal Republic of Yahlia

Galway-Dublin wrote:once again thinking about a scene in the late game of until dawn, where a character slowly transforming into a wendigo after cannibalizing her sister's corpse to survive in an abandoned uranium mine after being tricked by her friends at a party and running away into the woods, keeps a journal for a solid month in said abandoned uranium mine, wherein she consistently writes entries describing the feeling of becoming a cryptic monster of indigenous american legend, with her final entry consisting of her yelling about how hungry she is, because i'm sure wendigos are known for their legendary penmanship

also spoilers for until dawn but that game came out in 2015 so yknow

It wasn’t a uranium mine, was it?

💙 I'll give you a brief update before leaving. As one of the new heads of EuroNews, I should have the next edition completed by Monday, July 11th. Stay tuned for an update on the next Eurocord Event as well!

I'm going to watch "The Black Phone" today, in other news. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie got a perfect score, and it also received positive reviews elsewhere. Bringing my husband along. All things horror are very much to my taste. I hope to have a good time today. 💙

Yes because I dream of united Europe.

Yeah
I built it after what I want from a nation I'd like to live in, after all

Waiku might be a nice place to live in, but eh, I still wouldn't want to live there because of how its liberalising communist government still has some degree of authoritatianism. Not enough freedom for me.

Phasan, however, I would love to live in if it existed. A westernised country, technology-oriented like South Korea but with a lot of grass to touch like Indonesia. A free country that prefers tolerance over openness. In the real world, I want to live in Japan or South Korea as they're the closest to what my dream country would be. But they don't have only two seasons or the vegetation overgrowth that I'd like to live accompanied by. They don't have the fertile volcanic soil or, like where I live, we recently dug a well a few metres down and bam, free unlimited clean water. I think we hit water at about five metres?

I am what Indonesians call a 'mall person', basically equal to a 'city person' as cities would have malls. I like to be surrounded by many people, ubiquitous technology, and go to bright places with lots of lights, like malls. Maybe that's because I was spoiled when I lived in the capital and, now, I'm stuck in the less-developed by eastern region.

So yeah, Phasan would be just as I described in the second paragraph, a place I'd like to live in.

Mine would be great if a) the people were nicer and b) they weren’t paying 100% tax 🥴
A is probably the direct cause of B but there we go 🤪

Maesulia

The Oriental Empire wrote:Question;

Though Maesulia is just a concept as of now, no

I would rather not live in a Romanized Berber “republic” where religion is heavily controlled and the lower and middle class get effectively no say in the political process, and the only reason any sort of revolution hasn’t taken place is that the elites occasionally grant concessions to the lower class citizens

Additionally, the system of law has barely changed in the last several hundred years, and is thus almost entirely based on antiquated Roman systems of law from the 3rd and 4th centuries, with some early Islamic law practices sprinkled in there

The Republic of Agausia

The Oriental Empire wrote:Question;

Probably not at the moment, especially given the instability and fighting that is occurring in neighboring countries

Agausia is a small post Soviet state that does suffer some of the stereotypical issues that post Soviet states suffer from. Out in the country the wine vinyards are nice and Agausian people are generally friendly. They do have some improvements to make is civil and political right, but the country is generally though of as democratic.

Maybe in a few years I'd live in Agausia.

Sankt Hans is the Dano-Norwegian name for the annual midsummer celebration (named after Johannes Døberen or John the Baptist in Ingles)

Inger Støjberg is a racist politician who broke the law as Minister (illegally seperated asylum seeker couples,) got dragged across Rigsretten and was eventually kicked out of the parliament.
She has now formed a party which is quite obviously inspired by a racist party in Sweden and hopes to be re-elected :)

Maesulia has a very strained relationship with most European nations, as well as its African neighbors

It probably would not join any continental alliance/pact
