The Rivers of London of The Folly

Hey Captain Harris, how's the policing going?

BTW two megaphone lengths is a bit too close for social distancing.

The Rivers of London of The Folly

"Shouldn't I know about these things?" I said.
"The list of things you need to know about, Peter, is extraordinarily long," said Nightingale.

The Kingdom of Thameshire

Indeed.

The Rivers of London of The Folly

Thameshire: in Rivers of London there's an ancient Father Thames from the Celtic/Roman period, and a modern day Mama Thames, as river deities.

Thank you. It always seemed odd to me that every major river in England has a county named after it except for the one biggest river in the country...

Its a bit late but just read this

River Severn......no county
River Trent......no county
River Ouse.....no county
River Great Ouse....no county
River Nene......no county

Thats big ones i can think of without looking at wikki or maps.

The Queendom of Miss Marple

Would make nice sounding counties. On the other hand, there's a surplus of fictional ones. Barsetshire, Borsetshire, Midsomer (theremin humming intensifies), Mummerset, Naptonshire, Loamshire, Rutshire (everyone's always in rut there, I suppose), Trumptonshire, Wessex...

So how did Derbyshire become a papal county?

So how did Derbyshire become a papal county?

It was part of a multiplayer postal game.....which shows how long it was ago .... called patchwork world where the counties of the Uk where countries.
I live in Derbyshire and we offered sanctuary to the Archbishop of Canterbury when he was exiled from Kent....i cannot remember the exact process but it stems from that.
You will notice even though we are a Papal county.....we are not what you could call religious as a nation.....these days its more a cool nsme than anything else
