The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | Excellent work on this and all other recent posts! Is there an image of what the Areodyne looks like? I'm having a bit of trouble picturing it in my mind.
The Infinite Empire of Cybus1 | Thank you! I got bored, wrote a lot; played a lot of Fallout 4, listened to several episodes of Dark Adventure Radio Theater, and re-listened to The Dreams In The Witch House Rock Opera (again), and began re-reading the excellent Midnight In Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham.
The Infinite Empire of Cybus1 | Thank you! Generally, think streamlined bodies with sets of small thrusters on each end. I envision the Ryan AV-4 series as being closer to last two images than the others, but I included a spectrum to help make the point. Of course, none of mine have glass anywhere. The second to last one is probably the closest to the standard AV-4.
The To Whom It Tolls of Timmy City | The Global Solid State Phased Array Radar System- An assortment of early warning radar systems strategically placed around different sites worldwide. The early warning systems help provide detailed information about incoming aircraft(such as bombers), ballistic missiles, and space launches. The data is synced with data provided by our satellite early warning detection system. The combined data is read and interpreted by STRATCOM in Omaha, Nebraska, and GLOBCOM in Ushuaia, TDF. There are rumors that this is data is also fed to an underground nuclear-proof facility that is part of the Timmy Embassy complex in Cedro Valley and was provided to the Novoians to track any potential launches toward Novoian territory and to provide that intel to Novoian intelligence.
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | Year: 2024 Galah Floating Bus Enters Service The Galah Floating Bus, named after a bird species indigenous to Australia, has finally entered service after years of production delays. The Choe Corporation initially planned to debut it by 2022, but due to the onset of World War Three, Choe was forced by the Imperial government to focus solely on military production of tanks, armored vehicles, and trucks. As a consequence, the first models were manufactured in Taiwan by Bowman Motors Group and have been imported into Orson. Large crowds have gathered in various major cities to observe the Galah in action and take a ride, and the public is fascinated by its use of Null-G technology. A military variant of the bus, known as the Galah gunship, is also in production, equipped with heavy armor, neutron guns, point-defense lasers, and hardpoints for bombs or missiles.
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | The Protocols of Arcadia: The Protocols of Arcadia is an anti-Cybusian political pamphlet originally published in 1968 by Ekara Hemi, an Orsonian professor and member of the Royalist Party (before its merger with the Aturorist Party). During his tenure as a historian at the University of Makassar, Ekara Hemi wrote it as a spiritual successor to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an antisemitic book originally published in Lucija in 1903, which made false claims of a Jewish plot for world domination. The pamphlet initially spread within Royalist Party circles, attracting support as most Royalists were highly suspicious of the Cybusian presence on Earth. Hemi eventually resigned from his position and successfully won the 1975 senatorial elections in Sulawesi, becoming an Imperial senator. Hemi was assassinated in 1984 by the Red Brigades, as retaliation for his efforts in cracking down on labor unrest across the island. His death caused the pamphlet to gain nationwide attention and recognition, especially after it was promoted by the talkshow Orson at Midnight. The Protocols of Arcadia details an alleged Cybusian conspiracy to control all world governments, paving the way for Earth's conquest and colonization by Evolved, and the eventual re-enslavement of Earth Orsonians by Cybusian masters. Hemi claimed that the United Council of Peoples was engineered by a "hidden cabal" of Cybusian infiltrators to control all of humanity and pit them against the Earth Orsonians. Hemi even claimed the Holocaust was secretly perpetrated by the Evolved citizens of Germany to ruin the Nazi Party's reputation, granting Cybusian authorities a casus belli for conquering Germany. Protocols calls for the Imperial government to dedicate all available resources to combating the Cybusian threat, including a boycott of Cybusian corporations, banning the Mercerist faith, and eliminating "crypto-Evolved" shapeshifters disguises as influential politicians or businessmen. The pamphlet was successful in establishing widespread anti-Cybusian sentiment in Orson and discrimination against the country's small Mercerist population. Aturorist Party members could obtain a copy for free, and party members were encouraged to oppose Cybusian influence wherever possible. In the years following its publication, numerous lynchings of suspected crypto-Evolved have occured, and various celebrities or businessmen have had their careers ruined after being accused of working for Cybusian authorities.
The Infinite Empire of Cybus1 | Fascinating addition to the seemingly ever-expanding world of Orsonian conspiracy and siege-mentality culture! I'm pleasantly surprised at how complex that aspect of Orsonian culture has become; the Pipeline Theory, the conspiracy-filled broadcasts of Orson at Midnight, this book, all sorts of things, most of them interconnected.
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | Thanks Cybus! There are still various other crazy conspiracy theories that I have yet to mention, though this one is certainly up there.
The Infinite Empire of Cybus1 | …oh dear Mercer, there’s more?
The Infinite Empire of Cybus1 | Got a ton of World Assembly ratings. I was happy to see I’m in the top 5% of most scientifically advanced countries, most well developed, highest average incomes AND highest wealthy incomes, top 10% for most patriotic, and top 1% for most valuable international artwork and highest economic output!
The Imperio Constitucional of Novo Wagondia | Wagondia is within the top 1% in a number of categories, but my favorite are inclusiveness, weather, culture, tourism, and of course food quality. We're in the top 0.2% for cheese exports, if you ever needed proof that Wagondia is the breadbasket of the EOA!
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | Cape Town Demolition Proposal: The Interior Commission has submitted a proposal to the Federal Senate advocating for completely demolishing the Cape Town ruins, and transforming the wider Cape Region into a nature preserve. Cape Town was completely destroyed during the 2007 siege by a combination of aerial bombing, artillery bombardment, and deliberate arson by Imperial Army combat engineers and Inquisitors. Units deployed in the siege were ordered to level every building in the city using flamethrowers and explosives, with Emperor Turner himself demanding "not a single brick be left standing", as a reprisal for the 2006 Capetonian Rebellion and to ensure the permanent destruction of Capetonian culture. The ruins of Cape Town remained as a monument to Imperial success and a stark warning for other dissident groups within Orson. A plan to rebuild Cape Town into a model Aturorist city never came to fruition due to the immense expense of repairing essential infrastructure. Additionally, Cape Town was heavily bombarded with chemical weapons during the siege. Thousands of artillery shells filled with sarin gas and mustard gas were fired into the city. Most notably, the city's metro system was flooded with HX nerve agent through its ventilation systems, which killed an estimated 100,000 Capetonians taking shelter within the tunnels. These shells are still present across the ruins, posing a grave hazard to any who encounter them. The proposal will cost billions of Kirahe to implement. The estimated timeframe to clear out all rubble and remove hazardous substances from the environment is 10 years. It is hoped that the new government in Orson Will turn over the reports
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | The Federal government has agreed to turn over a trove of documents originally possessed by the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailing the involvement of Turner's regime in Lucija.

The Tsardom of Santa Lucija | Amalia listened carefully to Von Seeckt. She had been prepared to dislike the colonel, suspecting him of being yet another foreigner with much to say and little to offer. He was certainly set in his ways — Amalia had always felt Cybusians to be stubborn. They viewed the world in moral absolutes, and were unaccustomed to their worldview being challenged. Nevertheless, she appreciated that the Colonel got straight to the point. He was interested in concrete solutions, and unlike so many Lucijan politicians, Amalia could trust that his word was his bond. This could be a valuable contact indeed. "I have memorized this information, Colonel. Spasibo, many thanks and may this hasten the downfall of our mutual enemy." Amalia was pleased by their brief exchange. There was nothing further to say, and Amalia was not in the business of making empty promises. She stood to leave, extending a hand to seal the deal. - - - Just a few dozen meters away now, the lone partizan crept along the outside wall of the observatory. He could hear the murmur of the same voices from before, though he couldn't make out exact words. For all he knew, these were two guardsmen, chatting about video games on their smoke break. Finding a window cracked slightly open, he carefully peered inside the observatory, making out the figure of a tall, thin man in civilian clothes stood some ways away. Although the man's back was to the window, obscuring the view, the partisan could just make out behind him the face of a woman, who needed no introduction. This was Amalia Fainberg, President of the Imperial Council since the time of Tsar Alexander. It was rumored throughout Lucija that she was the quiet power behind the throne — some even whispered that it was she who decided Fyodor would rule as grand duke. Suddenly, the partisan's plan had turned from a routine surveillance mission to an altogether new operation. If he could capture Fainberg here in this observatory, far from the city center with no guard presence, he would be a hero to the revolution. Her life alone could be worth millions of rubles in ransom, not to mention the visibility it would lend to the cause of the Free Lucijan movement. The partisan dashed back to the idling car where his two compatriots waited, explaining to them their sudden luck. Quickly, they exited and returned to the observatory, crouched in a line of trees where dense vegetation could safely conceal their presence. Each was armed with a Makarov pistol, in addition to an AK-74 assault rifle quickly grabbed from the trunk. The partisans would wait until Fainberg and her escort exited the building and returned to their vehicles, before making their move.
The Tsardom of Santa Lucija | The Lucijan Justice Ministry has refused to turn over any documents concerning the sovereign affairs of the Tsardom, citing a lack of jurisdiction. The committee is partisan in nature and features no Lucijan representation whatsoever. A spokesperson for the government has said that all contacts with Orsonian intelligence have ended following the Orsonian Revolution and the subsequent Kornilov Reforms in Lucija. All political prisoners from mainstream parties have been freed (separate from rebel communists and anarchists, who are charged under treason offenses).
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | Orson votes AYE on CPR 2024 I.
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | Declaration Against Decolonization: The Federal Senate, following a majority vote, has issued an official declaration against decolonization and any attempt of secession by certain ethnic groups in Orson. Following the Kahroi-GALA conflict in central Australia, the Communist Party has desired to clarify its stance on all independence movements, especially as groups such as the Pan-African Movement and Indian National Congress advocate for further autonomy. Party leaders have reiterated that the republican government must remain a centralized state ruled directly from Ravenwood, and that separatist organizations will not be permitted to disrupt the post-revolutionary order or Orson's transition towards a communist society. Opposition leaders in the Democratic Party likewise supported the declaration, unwilling to allow a second Separatist Crisis to emerge. As a consequence, any political organization advocating independence from Orson is now legally prohibited, and the Federal Security Bureau will enforce the declaration via police raids on prohibited organizations. Statement from the Communist Party's National Committee: "The party must take a firm stance against decolonization, and all good communists must disavow themselves of said ideology. We recognize the grave evils perpetrated by Orsonian colonists against various indigenous peoples worldwide and the necessity of justice. In response, we have instituted extraordinary measures to remedy the Empire's worse excesses, such as our ongoing campaign against racial segregation. Nevertheless, this does not justify the systematic dismantling of the Orsonian state. Such division would doom Orsonian civilization to perpetual infighting, exploitation by capitalist powers, and permit Aturorists or other counter-revolutionaries to exploit the inevitable power vacuum for their own gain. The cost of self-determination would be a new separatist crisis unimaginably worse than its predecessor. Comrades, rest assured that arbitrary divisions such as race or ethnicity will lose all importance or meaning as we progress towards a communist society, as such divisions are a product of bourgeoisie manipulation. All citizens, regardless of their ethnic background, are entitled to the fruits of the revolution."
The Semi-Direct Democracy of Oceara | West Africa continues "Indefinite Mobilization" Although more cynical analysts have pointed out that the peacetime force already is that large and that the 'ambitious plans' are just rolling out better equipment to existing troops and reorganizing the structure of units to increase the volume of so-called force multipliers and the 'overwhelming military power' being more or less just propaganda to make Confederates and their allies feel more secure without needing to actually change any plans from those already established.
The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | In response, the Defense Commission has authorized a plan to begin manufacturing tens of thousands of Pattern A Cylons, with the intent of using them to bolster the regular army in the event of a sudden attack by West African forces. The Cylons will be stored in clandestine bunkers deep underground, capable of being rapidly reactivated if needed. High Command has also proposed increasing the army reserve to 3,200,000 personnel, though the Senate seems unenthusiastic about this. There is a strong desire to keep the army as small as possible, mainly to prevent it from threatening the fledgling republic or tempting jingoistic commanders into starting another war.
The Tsardom of Santa Lucija | Santa Lucija votes NAY on this resolution and will resist unjustified moves to strip the Tsardom of its role in international organizations

The People's Republic of The Orson Empire | People's Envoy Elenā Kiri has submitted CPR 2024 II: Reforming the International Labor Administration to the General Assembly floor for voting. This resolution proposes to enhance the ILA's power by increasing its funding, expanding field offices, and recruiting more staff. Additionally, the resolution would establish a subsidiary organization known as the Labor Inspectorate, ensuring member nations are complying with international standards formalized by the ILA. Labor inspectors would investigate reports of poor or hazardous working conditions, initiating investigations even if a member nation's government refuses to act (such as if government officials are bribed in exchange for ignoring violations of labor laws). All documentation gathered during an ILA investigation would be presented to the General Assembly, who could then vote to initiate economic sanctions against specific corporations or national governments, or ask the IPCC to press criminal charges in egregious cases (such as forced labor). Through this resolution, the Communist Party hopes to combat terrible working conditions throughout all capitalist states, permitting it to spread some aspects of the revolution worldwide despite international opposition. The To Whom It Tolls of Timmy City | A team of UCP Compliance Attorneys Who work in the General assembly and study new legislation proposed by delegations have advised the representative of their initial findings. They have expressed concern Over the following: While the legislation puts forward wording over an international stndard, This standard would have to be agreed-upon. Each nation has their own federal and local standards that will account for different labor practices in each place. Would ILA investigators and staff be granted automatic Immunity? If the country Does not want to be investigated, according to the legislation, the ILA is still allowed to investigate. There’s no provision that counts any potential of refusal. The attorneys have noted they are non-partisan and analyze Every single piece of legislation proposed by the UCP. |
