The Hungarian People's Republic of Pontianus | Partners for Life During many decades the Imperial Federation kept friendly relations with countries in the Northeastern of Africa, mainly due their strategic position as guardians of the Red Sea one of the main entrances of the Mediterranean. Despiting wishes to keep good relations with all countries in the region, Sudan took a special position in the Roman government due their proximity with the West. Recently the crisis in Chad have sparked an alert in the policy makers of the Empire, mainly after the Frenco-Chadian threats against the Sudanese sovereignity. In the eyes of the Roman government, Sudan is a too valuable ally to be lost, therefore the government have to decide to take a bigger military approach with the Sudanese government. Arab federal states | | MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE | ‘Tigris-Euphrates Enrichment Agreement’ Signed With Abessinienreich Today, the Ministry of Energy announced its first deal with the new Sultanate of Turkey, the Tigris-Euphrates Enrichment Agreement. The TEEA is a bilateral agreement that will restore the Tigris-Euphrates river system and usher in a new era of green energy for Turkey. Over the next five years, Turkey will drain one-half of its dams on both rivers. The timing will be scheduled and regulated over that time period specifically to avoid any flooding or excessive ecological damage. It will also be halting new dam construction and reroute funds to other forms of clean energy. The Arab States will contribute $4 billion dollars every year for the next five years to that effort. This program will aim to replace the green energy lost as the dams are drained. The TEEA is the basis of future cooperative and mutually beneficial bilateral relations between Baghdad and Ankara. For decades Turkey has been constructing enormous dams along the Tigris-Euphrates. These dams are a part of wider efforts to end Turkish reliance on polluting coal plants. But they have proved destructive in other ways. Every year, the dams destroy thousands of acres of arable land along the rivers. Only worsened by climate change and desertification, Arab farmers have watched as opportunities to prosper quite literally dry up before them. With agriculture employing as much as 20% of the Arab States population, it has become a pressing issue for President Khalil, who has relied on strong support from farmers and the farming industry. As the new Sultan took the throne in Turkey and Erdogan seemed to restabilize the country, immediate negotiations were opened up with Ankara. They quickly proved fruitful and the TEEA materialized. The drawdown of the dams is expected to restore hundreds of thousands of acres of arable land to the Iraq State’s farmers. Along with passing the TEEA, the Arab National Congress passed the Arable Land Management Act. As previously unusable land becomes farmable again, it will be redistributed by the government. The program will prioritize returning it to farmers who were forced to abandon it. But it will also prioritize distribution to smaller farmers and local farming cooperatives. This continues national support for pro-social economic measures that democratize wealth ownership. Paired with Khalil’s past reforms, the agriculture sector of the Iraq State and the Arab States as a whole is expected to continue growing. The TEEA enjoyed multi-partisan support as all sides tried to appeal to the major demographic of agriculture workers. President Khalil lauded the deal as another step forward for the Arab State's farmers and an important step towards the global adoption of green energy, He expressed his support for similar advances of non-environmentally damaging forms of clean energy to Turkey’s program. He also praised the new Sultan Hamid III for his decision to sign the deal. The Bundesrepublik of New Provenance | THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDONESIA PEMERINTAH NASIONAL INDONESIA ______ INDONESIAN ARMY, ANTI-POVERTY COMMISSION OF INDONESIA CONDUCT FIRST 'CARE OPERATIONS', DISTRIBUTING FOOD AND SUPPLIES TO IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES IN JAKARTA As Christmas Eve dawned in the shining, yet polluted city of Jakarta, 500 troops of the Capital Guard Division in the Army woke up on the last day of work for the whole year. Most of the troops couldn't even call that day work, as they were assigned to assist the Anti-Poverty Commission in the distribution of food and supplies to impoverished communities in Jakarta. The troops dressed up in their 'camp regulation uniforms', ate a hearty breakfast and left the Capitol Guard Complex outside of Jakarta aboard military transport trucks and rented buses. All 500 men were armed with only standard issue pistols and some with military-grade non lethal stun batons that were standard issue for the Peacekeeper Corps. An estimated 50 Peacekeepers were also deployed to protect the military force, and the government delegation who would be joining the Guard for the day. Meanwhile, in the Chancellery House, Anetta Komarudin left in a black, unmarked SUV escorted by 6 unmarked sedans wearing her signature yellow cloak. Vice Chancellor Joko Widodo left his home in City Center via a Peacekeeper escort. Foreign Minister Reto Marsudi and Supreme General Hadi Tjahanto also departed the Armed Forces Headquarters a few kilometers south of Jakarta to join the delegation. The full government delegation, consisting of High Chancellor Anetta Komarudin, Vice Chancellor Joko Widodo, Foreign Minister Reto Marsudi and Supreme General Hadi Tjahanto. The delegation met with the members of the Guard and the Anti-Poverty Commissioners at Settlement 1, an impoverished community organized my the government during Joko Widodo's term as Prime Minister. Food and vital supplies were distributed by the hundreds to the people who clamored around the soldiers distributing the supplies. The High Chancellor personally gave the order to the Peacekeepers directing them to 'not stun them, if you please'. The government officials assisted in food distribution, and also took tours of some of the homes in the Settlement. The High Chancellor spoke briefly before departing with her delegation and the Guard troops. The process was repeated 15 times, until the Guard returned to their home base, Reto Marsudi to the Foreign Ministry office, Joko Widodo to the National Parliament, Hadi Tjahanto to the Armed Forces command HQ, and the High Chancellor to City Square at around 7:32PM. At around 9:12PM, social media was flooded with photos of the High Chancellor apparently eating dinner with an unnamed person. While most guessed this to be a love interest, the Chancellery Office denied all reports, but confirmed the Chancellor was out at dinner. The Republic Of Sudan of Nileia | Khartoum, The Republic of Sudan With new year's rolling around the corner as Sudan prepares to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of its December Revolution on the 19th, Christmas on the 24th and 25th which has been a national holiday in Sudan since the late 2000s. And then on the celebrate to turn of the year on the 31st and then the Nation's 67th independence day the night after on the first of January. Parliament had convened for one final session before they too go on break. During this session the Sudanese Parliament had brought forward a legislation in the making for some years now by the Liberal MPs. The legislation that has been given the name "CASA" is short for the Child Assistance and Support Act. The purpose of CASA was to start pushing the government to get involved with the well being and benefit of the Sudanese youth and in turn seciruing the prosperity and the future of the Republic. The vote had been held off until know given the struggle of the liberal party to get anything through under Al-Sir's administration and through Sudan's current involvement in Chad. But now with the war coming to an end and the nation entering a period of unity against what is seen as foreign trouble. it became easier to get the result of approving for the establishment of the Child Assistance and Support Act or CASA as it has been passed with 128 Yes to 49 No In the National Assembly and 56 Yes to 8 No in the Council Of States where it's thej signed and approved by Prime Minister Silva Kiir officially turning CASA into implementation. In more detail of CASA, a number of other programs have been given to carry out the duties necessary for the prosperity of Sudan, the given list goes over the various programs and agencies created under CASA that shall further carry out the CASAgenda: • Free Breakfast Program (FBP) - Will be a nationwide campaign aimed at providing free and affordable breakfast meals to students of improvised and needy families for all grades 1 to 11 in all of Sudan's schools once students and parents sign up for the FBP. • Youth Centers for Learning and Improvement (YCLI) - Working with state and local agencies for the establishment of multiple YCLI Locations throughout cities that shall encourage the Sudanese youth off the streets and into these centers where they can discover new activities and hobies in sports and arts that will boost co-operation, skill, friendships, and value. • National Assistance for Financing Scholarships and Academics (NAFSA) - Program entirely nationally funded by the government aimed at providing cheaper and affordable scholarships and tuitions for higher education to middle and lower class students who plan to to attend and seek higher education. • Learning Space Improvement Funds (LSIF) - The increase of government funding into the educational department and into schools for the improvement of learning space environment and quality by boosting the necessary resources students will need to become successful. • Union for National Identity Scouts (UNIS) - less of a welfare program and more of a social integration program. Somewhat copied of the Paramerican Boy and Girl Scouts. The program has been created to oversee the further integration of the Sudan starting from its younger generation, the government hopes that by pushing and exposing people to the various culture, languages, and religions of their fellow countrymen from a young age, then they would grow to becoming member of society that value their nation and their fellow citizens. UNIS is also intended to boost co-operation, independence, leadership, and responsibility and most importantly education and understanding of the Sudanese wilderness, way of life, and pride in the motherland, a program for the Sudanese youth to explore during the summer break. More programs are bound to be created in the future under the CASA Administration depending on how successful the program proves to be to the nation and it's children. Many government officials including Prime Minister Kiir have shown great support and excitement in the creation of the Program hoping for positive results for the working class and the nation as a whole. The Act passed by parliament along with the creation of other programs has already recived overwhelming support from families and local municipalities that are excited for granting opportunity and an aiding hand to the Sudanese generation. The Bundesrepublik of New Provenance | THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDONESIA PEMERINTAH NASIONAL INDONESIA ______ INDONESIAN NAVY DESTROYER ASSAULTED BY ISF PIRATES, INTENSE FIREFIGHT BREAKS OUT IN THE JAVA SEA Following the ISF assault on a cruiseliner in Indonesian waters, south of the Riau Islands, the Indonesian Navy has deployed 35 destroyers into the Java Sea, patrolling the seas individually to cover more water. In the early hours of December 26, 2023, the destroyer Mutiara was sailing through the Bangka Islands east of Palembang when the whooshing of RPGs flying through the air was heard by a crewman on deck. Five high-damage RPGs hit the destroyer, throwing crew off their beds and the captain onto the floor. The destroyer responded with the firing of anti-ship missiles towards a position 912 meters northwest of the ship, a location believed to have been the source of the assault. As the crewmen scrambled to dress up and take up weapons to defend the ship, an ISF-hijacked patrol boat that was reported stolen a few weeks ago slammed into the rear hull of the destroyer, throwing the ship's inhabitants onto the floor once more. ISF pirates boarded the vessel, firing their AK-47s at any moving thing they saw. A crewwoman barely escaped and reported to the captain that almost 55 ISF pirates had boarded, with more than 35 incoming. Anti-air turrets were aimed down towards the lower helicopter deck, where the ISF pirates were arriving. A massive and deafening barrage was fired, killing almost all of the ISF men instantly. In the firefight, however, the Bell 412 helicopter was damaged, causing it to explode in a fiery inferno. By this time, almost 8 minutes after the initial assault, a group of 18 crewmen staggered up the stairs and out onto the second deck, holding standard issue P90 rifles in their hands. 8 ISF pirates were downed immediately by an accurate crewman. An intense firefight began, lasting for almost three hours when another navy destroyer arrived and a Bell 412 machine-gunned the deck of the ISF-controlled patrol boat. Almost 95 ISF pirates were captured, including a map with the supposed locations of all major ISF coastal hideouts. The exact locations have been kept classified, but the government has said it is willing to conduct a joint operation with German personnel if Bayern kahla (Germany) is willing. The Republic Of Sudan of Nileia | Khartoum, The Republic of Sudan With New Year up ahead as the nation commemorates 67 years of independence, it is important to look back at the year where that very independence was threatened by the ambitious and paranoia of a state desperate to not only protect its citizens but to also prove itself a power to reckon with in the region. However the pursuit of power and dominance has come at a heavy cost for Sudan's diplomatic missions with other nations. Though a secretive apology has been issued to both the nations of Zaire (Alzarikstan and The Galla (The galla). Prime Minister Salva Kiir had felt it important for Sudan to still issue an apology publicly in a press conference to both Zaire and Galla, but has also issued an official apology to the allies of Sudan, Egypt (Mesuvia), Iran (Paseo), The Arab States (Arab federal states) and other members of the Middle East Co-operation Organization citing that Sudan was indeed in the wrong for acting on its own interests without putting other Organization members at mind and endangering their relation with other nations. Most importantly of all Prime Minister Salva Kiir had issued an official apology to the Interim government of the Republic of Chad (OsivoIII) for Sudan's violation of their nation's own sovereignty and territorial integrity. However Kiir still stands by the legitimacy of the occupation inciting the danger and threat Oustani has on Sudan's borders and it's own national security. Other than the apology, Prime Minister Kiir had also privoded an official statement calling upon Arab militias to cease fire and enter negotiations with the Chadian Government that is to be officially recognized by Khartoum as the legitimate government of the Chadian Republic. Salva Kiir had also praised the actions of the German State (Bayern kahla) in the stabilization and aid to the Chadian people during such dark times. Kiir also slipped in a praise of the partnership and friendship Khartoum and Rome (Pontianus thanking The Roman Government for their support during such tense situations. However when the press asked about wether Sudan would issue an apology to France (Metropolitan Francais) as well, Prime Minister Kiir responds with "You Heard President Macron, France isn't Chad's overlord, I see no reason for Sudan to apologize to an ally doing their so called job." following the statement Prime Minister Kiir would call an end to the conference where he then adds that Sudan would be looking forward to the rehabilitation and normalization of friendships between the two countries as Sudan prepares to relax the no fly zone over the country and start pulling troops out of Darfur. This agreement includes implanting a subsidiary of Automobiles Platinas named Automobiles Zaire that would specialize in transportation, motorcycles, but especially tractors and other agriculture machinery to increase agricultural mechanization and become more competitive internationally, especially in Africa. With that, Zaire has also accepted La Platan software and hardware from Araucanian Electronics along with access to the SPOTN Contesllation for GPS geolocation of Zairean tractor/machinery. Ukranian nationalist state | | VERKHOVNA RADA | President Khomchak Receives Emergency Power, New Office In a stunning move, the legislature of Ukraine has voted to grant President Khomchak emergency powers. Soon after being elected President, the general expressed his intent to request the powers, citing the ‘ongoing border and national unity crisis’ as the reason for the powers. Emergency Legislative Proposal #003 passed through the unicameral Verkhovna Rada by a two-thirds margin amid condemnation from political opponents and left wing groups. The law creates a new office; President-General, vested with wide military and political powers. In assuming the office, Khomchak will effectively resume his post as Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, an office usually kept out of civilian government hands. The office of Prime Minister will also be suspended, with its executive government authority vested in the President-General. In addition to these two posts, the President-General will be given the power of executive orders equal to law that cannot be vetoed by the Rada itself. This allows Khomchak to rule by decree. The office comes with a 4-year charter, meaning the power will remain until the next elections in 2027. President-General Khomchak, reappearing in his military uniform, (now with four stars) addressed the nation and praised the Verkhovna Rada for their ‘boldness and courage in the time of crisis.’ In his first Executive Order, Khomchak merged the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the Ukranian Army. the Ministry, known as MSV, administers the National Police and National Guard. Both the Guard and Police are being merged with the existing Military Police units and are now called the Department of State Security. This means the military will take over policing at the national level and oversee investigations. The Prosecutor General of Ukraine has also been replaced with a former general known to be loyal to Khomchak. He also announced the mobilization of 25,000 soldiers of the National Guard to active military service within the DSS. This has corresponded to a greatly increased police presence witnessed across the country. His second Executive Order capitalized on the first. The Blue Berets, the National Corps party paramilitary, has been legitimized and given legal backing. Now organized as the Department of Public Sovereignty under Army control, the DPS will supplement the DSS. Widely increasing state presence on the street, members of the DPS will continue operating in their trademark blue berets, now with government uniforms, weapons and legal authority. They are meant ‘to ensure social unity, stamp out sedition and rebellion, and guarantee the sovereignty of Ukraine.’ Critics both outside and within Ukraine have criticized the unfolding events, calling Khomchak a dictator, and saying the military control of police surrenders the nation to military control. Newspapers and TV within Ukraine have proved surprisingly silent on the matter, either reporting passively, or openly praising Khomchak’s decisions and powers. Outside sources have chalked this up to intimidation by the DPS, who are likely to continue operating as a National Corps party-aligned force. 30th December 2023 | Elections to the Commonwealth Assembly are fast approaching, the last election that took place four years ago saw the Vestre led Government ousted by Jonas Gahr Støre and his Social Democratic Party. It is looking very likely that Støre will hold onto power, it is largely thought that his victory against the referendum for Danish Independence has boosted the party's polling position, as well as his own personal approval rating amongst the voters. | | Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, the now leader of Venstre, has struggled to resonate with the general public coupled with several other scandals involving former and current Venstre politicians, the party is receiving its lowest polling figures since the 1980s when it was overtaken by the then Conservative Party. Ventre's voters seem to be largely in part going to the Progress Party who is largely more successful in Norway compared to Denmark, where it's voter base tends to vote for the Danish People's Party. A small number have flocked to the Social Democratic Party, who compared to most other social democratic parties in Europe have a fairly tough approach to immigration. | | The election takes place in thirteen days and the polls will be open for twelve hours, turnout is expected to be within the 70%-80% range which has become typical of most Commonwealth elections. Arab federal states | | KURDISH MINISTRY OF DEFENSE | SECRET- Peshmerga Assistance Of Kurdish Rebels In Turkey Peshmerga General Command, Erbil Colonel Daryan Nahro | “Major General, sir, how much can we get across the border? My men can look the other way for shipments, but I need to know how much to expect.” Major General Borham Mohamad | “My supply officer tells me he can write off at least two thousand AKs. He said he knows of at least one Saddam-era arms dump that isn't on the books. Thousands of rounds of ammunition, maybe mortars and RPGs. But how can you be so sure your men won't question it? “ Mohamad was the Quartermaster General of the Peshmerga, responsible for equipping every soldier and keeping track of every piece of equipment. So it’s of little surprise that Colonel Daryan Nahro, a border unit commander, approached him about smuggling weapons to the Kurdish rebels in Turkey. Colonel Daryan Nahro | ”My soldiers know of the struggle in Cizre. They also know President Barzani won’t act because Khalil wants his river deal intact. Just like you and me, they’re willing to take this situation into their own hands. For the good of all Kurds.” In the room with them was Brigadier General Bayan Abdul Rahman, commander of a regiment of Peshmerga special forces. He too was sympathetic to Nahro’s cause and had joined them in planning the operations. Brigadier General Bayan Rahman | ”And where do my men fall in this? What’s their part?” Colonel Daryan Nahro | “They'll be security. They’ll pose as transport crews for our cargo trucks, moving Iraqi grain across the border. My contact in the Border Ministry can get me fake passports and papers. We’ll disperse the weapons across enough shipments that they’re very unlikely to be found. We won’t be able to help them if they're caught, I hope you know that.” Brigadier General Bayan Rahman | “My men are the best of the best Kurdistan has to offer. They know the risks of this job. They’re ready. Even if the government does disavow us, we’re doing what’s right. If Erbil won’t stand for her own, we will.” The meeting convened from there. Over the next week, hundreds of AKMs would go missing from inventories. A dozen civilian cargo trucks were “dispatched for maintenance.” Bravo Company of the 12th Special Forces Regiment was sent for leave in light of training. The 27th Infantry Brigade, commanded by a young colonel named Nahro, found absolutely no gaps in their traffic logs along the border. Now, as the moon slowly moved down towards the lightless, black ocean, the men, women, and tanks of the 21st Joint Army Division silently made their way up an inconspicuous coastal dirt road, leading up to an abandoned coast guard outpost scheduled for demolition. Documents seized from the coast guard vessel which assaulted the destroyer Mutiara showed almost 35 different ISF coastal outposts, as well as 7 inland ISF outposts. The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) withheld the exact location from the public and pretty much anyone else. The moon had moved down what seemed to be a few inches when the line of almost 550 troops halted, and crouched down, as the faint rumbling of a truck was heard uproad. The men and women were shushed, and the commander knelt down, clutching a grenade in one hand and her rifle in the other. An unmarked truck with a black flag waving from the side drove down, driven by two masked men. The commander stood up and fired two shots, killing the men driving. The truck stopped, and the commander ordered her troops to search the truck while the rest continued the advance. Five minutes later, the force reached the top of the road, where an old coast guard outpost lay. There were torches lit inside, with ISF insurgents patrolling. Towards the coast, five coast guard boats lay silent, with more insurgents patrolling onboard. An ISF speedboat zoomed past as the troops began engaging the outer guards silently. Once the outer courtyard was secured, three Harimau medium tanks arrived and blasted the main building, killing or stunning almost everyone inside. In the next three hours, a skirmish ensued, with the troops working hard to clear the outpost and the neighboring land. By 10:32AM, almost five hours since they began the operation, the area was secured. 59 Indonesian troops had been lost, almost all in a blast that destroyed a Harimau tank, while 369 ISF insurgents were killed with 350 arrested. 5 Indonesian coast guard patrol boats were also seized, along with 650 ASK-47 assault rifles, 2,500 rounds of ammunition, and 150 homemade lethal explosives. The main building was also searched, and documents, reports, maps, logs, and other vital information were seized. An additional 20 ISF outposts were located, but the exact location was once more withheld. The operation was declared successful, with a saddeningly decent amount of losses but with a great treasure trove of information being captured. Abessinienreich |
