I don't think I ever got that issue. Ancapdonia just continually whittles away any sort of government control whenever the opportunity presents itself.

What NS classification would the IRL USA be?

And sorry for the double post, but I'm wondering if my nation should remain as a Capitalist Paradise or just go full-on Anarchy. It's meant to be a country run by corporations, and I'm thinking I'll just keep picking pro-business options whenever they come up and see what happens.

Anarchy means no rulers. If your country is ruled by corporations, that's not anarchy.

I can think of three NS classifications that would accurately describe the USA IRL: "Corporate Police State," "Authoritarian Democracy," and/or "Tyranny by Majority."

I would have to sit down and try to remember the NS classifications. However, based on the left leaning bias in the game, I would say corporate bordello or some other slam on the free market.

This article turned up in my social media feeds enough times to get me to lower my standards to give Politico a click.

Author Casey Michel is advocating for war on Trump supporters. He is not alone. Many people on the left are openly pushing for everything from "reeducation" to social shunning for anyone who ever dared to utter a single word of support for President Trump.

The professional Snowflakes™ really need to stop wishing for civil war and take a moment for some introspection.

Here's a hint for Casey and the rest of the left. Most Trump supporters are solidly behind the Second Amendment. They are well armed and know how to use those weapons. Many are veterans with skill sets including the dark arts of death and destruction.

Trump supporters are not executing an insurrection against Joe Biden, the Democrats, or the government. If they were, that situation would be undeniably clear to Casey and the rest of the nation.

These clowns on the Left need to lighten up before they get some people hurt.

Have you ever noticed the left considers anyone that does not tow their line an "extremist?"

The Left is emboldened because they believe (and are almost certainly correct) that the government "is on their side." Unfortunately for the Left, most of them failed their history lessons or were never taught history in the first place at the government indoctrination centers. They will end up as the "useful idiots" cheering on government tyranny, until it's too late and they're no longer useful.

I knew a work colleague who was from mainland China. He had told me once that the only difference between the news in China and the news in Western countries is that most people within China understand that the news is complete propaganda. I probably laughed, thinking how little it effected me. Well perspective can be a b**ch.

Landlordia

COVID during its time in Landlordia has caused some major economic and health impact in the course of a year, and some major outside the box thinking was much needed to help keep the economy and society going while undergoing this pandemic. Thanks to the heavy promotion of innovation to drive the economy forward, by the Kory Foundation, innovation in air filtration systems and devices have helped increase the fight against the spread of COVID. On another note, these latest innovations have also helped limit the amount of air pollution within the surrounding environment within Landlordian Cities. These latest Air Filtration Innovations are installments that businesses can pay to have installed in their buildings to bring in outside air, into the building and filter viral and other pollutant particles out of the air before it comes into the come building, and not only does the system filter air coming in, but it filters the air coming out of the building, to capture any viral particles that is being released by into the air. Another Air Filtration innovation is little air filter devices that can place all around the house to filter the air from viral particles and pollutants within residential homes, but these are not the only innovative air filter devices that have been created; electrical face mask are another set of innovative devices to bring in and filters air through two air intake holes on the sides of the nostril point, as well as filter the air a person breathes out through the exhaust valves; the electrical face masks has helped hospitals be able to control the circulation of COVID within their facilities. And who do we have to thank for the innovations? That would be the Kory Foundation and Manufacturers for the air filtration installments, Medical Professional & Innovator Robert J. Lee for the little home air-filter devices, and Monica Ochoa for electrical face masks.
During the peak of the pandemic, The Kory Foundation decided it was best not to close down the economy, but encourage economic progression in overcoming the very disease threatening the livelihood of Landlordian Cities across the globe. Much like how South Korea, The Kory Foundation made a push in coming up with a solution through manufacturing, and indeed they did. Through discuss manufacturing solutions within The Kory Foundation's main headquarters based in Landlordia City, a solution to advance air filtration into ventilation installments was brought to the table. Once the solution was brought to the table, The Kory Foundation took the next step into investing in such an idea, by having manufacturers produce the filtration fans for ventilation systems. Then The Kory Foundation advertised the installments, and got over 4,000 enclosed businesses to buy the installments. The profits made by The Kory Foundation was used to help with reconstructing ventilation systems to intake and filter air as well as output and filter air. This made news headlines throughout the cities of Landlordia, which encouraged other Landlordians to see air filtration as the way to handle this pandemic.
At the newly constructed Landlordian Idea Sharing Park, Robert J. Lee introduced his home air filtration device he created. Robert said the device is really to be place in areas where people usually be around, inside of homes, so that it can take in the air people breathe out and filter it. Thanks to Robert, he has made an affordable air filtration device that anyone can buy from a pharmacy or department store. When introducing this device at the Idea Sharing Park, Robert was able to receive the funding he needed from peers, and more of the parts he needed to create more of them and created a little manufacturing spot, out of a garage. Robert says what inspired him to create such a device was when he was working in a hospital, dealing with patients that had severe respiratory conditions to the point of needing to be on an oxygen machine; then when The Kory Foundation started advertising air filtration installments to get help deal with the pandemic for businesses, that's when Robert got his idea to make affordable air filtration devices to help everyday Landlordians, deal with the pandemic. Robert's story was shared on news outlets, which gotten the attention of The Kory Foundation, and they gave him a grant to help with his production and distribution of these home devices.
Ever since Robert's creation, his invention inspired Monica Ochoa to create the electrical face-mask. Working part-time within a department, Monica Ochoa had said when she saw a lot of people buying Robert's devices, and finally decided to buy one herself, she had thought to herself, "This would be great if I could connect this to my face."; she said it struck her the moment she said it, create a face-mask that's electronic and can filter air coming in and air that's exhaled. She bought some parts and wires from a Hardware Department Store, and got to work. Once she created a comfortable and functioning electrical face-mask that can filter the air a person inhales and exhales, she took it to the Idea Sharing Park. Monica's invention gained immediate attention when she showed up wearing it. Right away, her peers started to give her the funding needed to make more electrcial face-masks. News outlets made their way to talk with Monica when discovering her on Social Media; that helped Monica gain the publicity she needed to get the attention of The Kory Foundation, so she can receive a grant to help with production and distribution of these electrical face-masks. The Kory Foundation even helped Monica's invention reach the hospitals, understanding how much of a great service they would be to doctors, nurses and patients constantly surrounded by COVID patients.
These filtration devices helped lower the numbers of COVID rapidly, but environmental specialists recognized that the mass filtration of air from these devices, has caused pollution levels to drop within the surrounding air, as well. Environmentalists wasted no in making all of Landlordia aware of the decrease in air pollution thanks to these air filtration innovations. After the defeat of the pandemic and the awareness of the drop in air pollution thanks to air filtration innovation, mass celebrations were sparked everywhere in many different Landlordian cities. The Kory Foundation even hosted a fireworks show in Landlordia City to celebrate. Landlordia yet again holds strong against and overcomes, economic and social interference.

So is Biden having the entire Keystone Pipeline deconstructed, or is he just disconnecting it from Canada?

The Pirates of Xyanth

Neither. He stopped construction on it rendering it useless and wasting all the capital that went into it.

But those workees will have new green jobs in 2035, just as soon as the entire green energy infrastructure can be put into place.....any day now

The Republic Empire Colony of Imren

To all those who think the Keystone pipeline should have never occured, what would rather have replaced it? The oil would still be coming into the US, just on trucks and train which opens the door to environmental disaster.

It's mostly just semantics. My nation can be described as anything from Classical Liberal to Minarchist. My focus is simply liberty, and capitalism (Austrian School Economics, not the Keynesian bs) is just a natural consequence of that.

I love when issues have an ancap solution, but occasionally the results baffle me. I recently got an issue about foreign labor and unfilled low-skilled jobs, and one of the solutions would legalize child labor to fill those low-skilled jobs. I chose this option, since it was the one that offered the most freedom. Somehow, this choice increased taxation slightly and increased authoritarianism by 15%. WTF NationStates? How does allowing children the freedom to work if they (or their families) choose equate to authoritarianism? How does it increase taxes in any way?

To be fair, large % increases usually don't mean much if its in a state you have almost no numbers in anyway.
But yeah some stuff is annoying.
