Okay, bro, where in Europe?

European winters, because of the gulf-stream are very mild. My state is on the same latitude with France, but I promise that it is nothing like France. It is really mild in France compared to Connecticut. Alaska? It's in the arctic circle man. It is 15 degrees Fahrenheit in Fairbank, 31 in Oslo just for a comparison. 15 is nowhere near the coldest they see up there.

Hmm...

I don't know about Alaska, but biomedicine is a northeast business. Connecticut has a sizeable biomedical industry. California, Massachusetts, and Oregon also has a large presence in that sector. Obviously, if you get paid more as a researcher in a place like Connecticut, you'd also have higher taxes. Conversely, in Alaska, you'd have lower taxes but also a lower salary...significantly lower.

I don't know the biomedical space in Alaska, but what I'm saying is it might prove more difficult to find a job there in it than in the Northeast or West Coast. If you like mountains, Wyoming biomedical researchers apparently get paid the most, and, being Wyoming, it also has low taxes...which sucks if you're not rich, but if you lived there as a researcher, you would be.

Of course, I doubt Wyoming has a lot of biomedical jobs. They're just in high demand, that means you'll need to find one first.

I just cant stand the heat anymore, so I want to tuck myself in Antarctica if I could
Alaska sounds nice, but I'll plan everything carefully

Bro, if you want cold, it never tops 80 in Connecticut. Maine is also very cold, but not as crazy as Alaska. It's probably also better for your industry. Washington State, near Seattle, is also great for it, but is cold.

The Orchiddic Imperium of AquilaJordyn

Okay, that was a lie, we've hit 100, but rarely.

The Orchiddic Imperium of AquilaJordyn

In all of my years of making a poll, I didn't expect Connecticut to win one.

We're competing with Maine. Maine. Do you know how great Maine is?

I'd downvote Maine so Connecticut wins, but I can't do it in good conscience. Maine is my family's new-world homeland...I love it. Although the results are skewed because I gave people the choice of West Virginia...

Sorry. I was too lazy to convert. 15 farenheit is -9 celsius. It can average -30 celsius in Winter. 80 is 26 celsius.
