Absu passes Anti-Communist law through legislature, awaits Presidential signature.
Today, the Legislature of Absu passed a bill, which outlaws "politically extreme" parties from holding major positions in the government, labeling them as harmful to the country. This sparked numerous protests and riots throughout the nation, where protesters claimed the bill was unconstitutional. This comes after the Communist Party of Absu began to gain many new members and was projected to win their first seats in the Legislature. If signed by the President, the CPA, one of the "extremist" parties targeted by the new bill, would no longer be allowed to hold office. A statement from President Fraser Barlow is expected within the next 48 hours.
