Who used to be just another plain, ordinary, home-loving Mesothallanian and is now making national waves on social media, Alexander Ironside, a teacher and veteran from Toronto, Ontario, has announced his running for President of the United States of Mesothallania. Whilst several prominent politicians have dismissed such an attempt as banal and political analysts skeptical of what change this could possibly bring, some on social media are claiming that his fresh approach to politics might counterintuitively promote unregistered and unpartisan voters to get engaged.

Here is an except of his campaign announcement given last week on Saturday, October 5, 2024:

Today is Saturday, October 5, 2024. I am Alexander Ironside, and I am announcing my run for President of the United States of Mesothallania in this upcoming election.

I was born in Toronto, Ontario. And yesterday I received word that all of the documents needed to proceed in such an election campaign have been ratified. It is too late to have my name printed on any ballots as the deadlines have passed, but there is a very simple reason for that: my birthday is on September 11, and as any political advisor would tell you, a presidential candidate must both be at least thirty-five years old and a Mesothallanian citizen. And I have taken every precaution necessary to not be considered ill-able to run for President.
