Probably the mods will know you've done somethin' because they keep records, but if you are currently on a nice guy redemption arc... maybe they'll put that into consideration when you commit a crime. Or when they're just watching you like they always are...
And with the passing of time, that probably won't work because, like I said earlier, they keep records. If the offender just poofs out of existence and comes back again, the mods will probably look at you in the same light because you haven't exactly changed.
