The thaindom of the shire - happy to explain :). I was honoured to serve as Chief Justice and was really proud I was able to help shape such a professional judiciary. I also recognise the judiciary is in a period of stability which is a good time to transition leadership. I have recommended that Eluney serve as the next Chief Justice. E has more years of experience than I with the law and comes from a Civil Law jurisdiction so will be able to build on what has already been done whilst bringing unique experiences and expertise to improve how the judiciary functions. It’s less a personal decision and more a decision based on advancing the judiciary- hopefully an example of being selfless and putting the institution first. I have indicated my will to continue as a Judge. I love writing the judgements and believe I have lots to add and bring and bring a judicial temperament. I hope my record will be favourable to the new Elders to appoint me for another term.

1. Dominion of compassion (CDP)
2. Geneviev (I/PCA)
3. Concordare (CDP)
4. United Zealandic (CDP)
5. Librerepublic (RP)

Their term shall last 4 months from 1 May and end on 31 August 2021.

Christian Democratic Party: 3
Progressive Christian Alliance: 1
Reform Party: 1

Just letting you know that I'm just enacting Executive Order 8: Attorney-General. This EO establishes the position of the Attorney-General to be the Region's chief legal officer. I'm also going to work with The Speaker to establish an Ombudsman/Public Defender in the near future!

Hello everyone! I wanted to take advantage of my appointment as Chief of Justice today to write a few words of thanks and reflections.

First of all, I would like to thank Christadelphians for trusting me when proposing me to take on that responsibility. I admit that it was not something that I expected. Since I was appointed as a Judge back in September last year, I have always found in Christadelphians a colleague willing to give me advice on the functioning of the Judiciary and support in all my decisions. The latter included that he, as Chief Justice, never intervened in any way in my rulings, letting me act with total independence - even in rulings where he was a defendant. I think that speaks highly of Christadelphians as a professional and leader in the regional court system. I also want to highlight the enormous gesture of humility that was meant by the fact of having yielded the highest position in the Judiciary taking into account not only that he was not obliged to do so, but that he is perfectly qualified to have continued in the position. And finally, I want to express my sincere admiration for how Christadelphians managed to found the foundations of an independent, transparent and professional Regional Court. I also want to thank Providence rock - my other fellow judge - for their support.

Secondly, I would like to thank Ecclestia for continuing to trust me for the role of Chief Justice, even when in my first ruling the sentence - where he was the defendant - was contrary to his claims. This highlights his humility and concern for the well-being of the Region.

Regarding this appointment, I ask God to allow me to rise to the occasion. May he give me the humility, courage, clarity of mind and everything I need to continue contributing to ensure that all UCN residents are equal before the law and that their rights and freedoms are respected, within the framework of a government based on the separation of powers and, most importantly, the brotherhood in Christ.

And finally, congratulations to the elected Elders Dominion of compassion, Geneviev, Concordare, United Zealandic and Librerepublic!

It’s an absolute pleasure. The rule of law is fundamental to how we as a region need to operate. My goal is for power to be distributed away from my role - this region is all of ours and not just mine. The fact you’re a professional in your role is a huge bonus!

I find it difficult to tell. Bible is for everyone. It holds the same rules for ugly, poor, obscure and for the beautiful, rich and famous. This gives an upper hand to the latter. And for the former they have to be a bit machiavellian to move up the social ladder. This is the only thing that doesn't sit well with me.

What Concordare said is true for me too. I think it's a common problem, since we as humans will never be perfect. It's good to remember that God doesn't require perfection of us.

And, of course, the behavior of some people who call themselves Christian has been a challenge to my faith.
