Does anyone have any advice for writing
an economic factbook? I don't so much mean figuring out the raw numbers or the main industries, I've done that bit. I'm finding hard to write any actual detail to it. Right now it may as well as to be a bullet point list of numbers and industries.

New idea, make them the expected business casual wear. I pity all the men who have to wear full 3 piece suits even in the dead humid heat of summer

If you have to wear a three piece suit in summer that sucks. Business Casual all the way.

I feel you on that. My suggestion is to look at wikipedia articles and how other people in TWI have written there's. It can give you a good idea of a format to write in

Yeah economy can be something difficult to flesh out - especially when you're not trying to make it just a wall of numbers. I don't think this is a problem people really need to address until they get deep into writing about their nation and then they can kinda see better how the economy fits into everything else they've set up. It's a nice to have, but beyond economy statistics there's not a lot of need to immediately go into detail. Putting that aside for a minute, here's some things you could do to add detail to an economy factbook.

a) talk more about your businesses
b) talk about your statistics with reference to geographic areas - are some parts of the nation richer than others, are some industries more prolific in particular parts of the nation? that kind of thing.
c) talk about processes like urbanisation and globalisation and how they've effected your economy
d) or, my personal favourite, talk about various government policies to do with your economy (aka does your government try to keep the currency lower or higher relative to other nations, do they try to dampen growth, what do they do in a recession...), talk a bit about trade, economic organisations you're a part of and more broadly the agreements you've signed to do with your economy (at the expense of your foreign affairs factbook)
d) make an 'economic history' section where you talk about your history in light of the economy (aka depressions, recessions, boom times... the various ways in which your economy has shifted and changed over time... so industries rising and falling and that kinda stuff)
e) if you are really desperate you could probably talk about industrial relations reform too and the industrial relations system in general.

The Kingdom of Wellsia is a constitutional monarchy located off the east coast of Argus at the junction of the Lotus and Southern Seas. It is separated from Argus by a large gulf known in Wellsia as the Golden Gulf which connects to the Lotus Sea by the Rmohal Strait.
The Kingdom controls extensive territories in Central and South Argus.

Etymology
The original name of the island is Sasunnia, and the original inhabitants were a neolithic people known as the Sasunn. Originally divided into a number of tribes, the island was discovered by seafarers from Estran and Kimisr. At the mouth of the Snowbourne River a small kingdom developed known as Walhz. As the kingdom expanded and unified the island its name changed to Wellsia.

History

Geography
Wellsia is an egg shaped island longer north the south then east to west. It covers an area of 18,119 sq. miles (46,928 sq. km.) with a coast line of 1780 miles (2,861 kilometers). The rugged coast line has only a few port cities. The central part of the island is know as the Harrow Valley, the center of which flows the Snowbourne River. The southeastern part of the island is low marshy land that is known as the Fenmarsh.
The climate of the island is lot cooler then it should be due to the southern flowing Great Argus current that flows north of the island into the Golden Gulf and then southward through the Rmohal Strait. The Fenmarsh, which is unaffected by the current shows a more tropical climate. The island has a humid subtropical climate cooling in the northern highlands. The country receives moderate to heavy precipitation varying from 45 inches (11.43 cm) in the Northmark to 75 inches (19.05 cm) in the Fenmarsh. The highest recorded temperature on the island is 112 F (44.4 C) and the lowest -17 F (- 27.2 C). The island is plagued by tornadoes, though few are stronger then an EF1. It also suffers from Hurricanes in the Fenmarsh and Eastfold area.

Demographics
The population of the kingdom is 10,018,161, and is very homogeneous with 79% of the population being native born. Of the remainder 20% are from the colonies, leaving only 1% as foreign born.
The population is primarily urban with 7,814,166 living in urban districts and 2,203,995 (22%) in rural areas. The largest concentration is in the Triplex area at the mouth of the Snowbourne. The three cities are Ealdwic (1,725,209), Eddoras, the capital (!,303,514) and Brookhaven (225,537). With a total population of 3,254,260, almost one third of the population live here.

Language
The official language of Wellsia is Modern Saesneg, developed from ancient Saesneg with the inclusion of many Estran and Kimisr words. The former northern kingdom of Loegar, today called the Northmark, dialect is influenced by many Salimanese words. The dialect of the Fenmarsh , known as Lalkorian is the purest form of Saesneg.

Religion
The state and only recognized religion on the island is known as The Sacellum. Sacellum is a very puritanical ritualistic form of Christianity. It follows a more Old Testament concept of guilt, punishment and eternal damnation.

Largest Ten Cities

Government
The Fundamental Laws of Wellsia vest the executive and part of the legislative authority in the sovereign, a member of the House of Medeswael, who attains majority at the age of 18. The crown is heredity in the female and male line, with preference of the male in case of equal birthright. In the exercise of the government, the Sovereign is assisted by the Witangemont (Council of Wisemen), appointed and dismissed by royal decree. The legislative authority is shared by the sovereign with the Landthing, a two chambered representative legislature. The Upper Chamber is the Gest-Thing or Council of Lawmakers and is made up of nobility, the Lower Chamber is the Folkmoot of Assembly of the People. The assent of both Chambers and the Sovereign are required for a bill to become law. Financial projects and estimates must be submitted by the Gest-Thing and can be either accepted or rejected by the Folkmoot.
The Gest-Thing consists of representatives of the Nobility with 9 elected from Eastfold and 7 each from Westfold, Northmark and Fenmarsh. There is also 10 members appointed for life by the sovereign. The elected Lawmakers hold office for six (6) years.
The Folkmoot consists of 105 members elected by universal suffrage. Every Wellsian who has attained his 20th year and is on the tax roll is eligible to vote. Assemblymen are elected for a three year term, but can only hold office for two consecutive terms.
The executive government is carried on under the sovereign by an irresponsible cabinet known as the Witangemont. The Witangemont is divided into twelve departments which are the High Chancellor (President), Treasurer, Secretary of Home Affairs, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of Colonial Affairs, Secretary of War, Secretary of the Fleet, Secretary of Trade and Commerce, Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Secretary of Education and Ecclesiastical Affairs, Postmaster General, and Attorney General.

Foreign Affairs and Military
The primary concern of Wellsia in both Foreign Relations and military planning is the defense of the island, the maintaining of trade routes between the colonies, and defense of the Kimisr Canal.
The military is divided between the Secretary of War ( Army and Flying Service) and the Secretary of the Fleet (Navy and Marines).
The military is voluntary for the regulars, but conscripted for the Militia. Because of the importance of the colonies close to half the Army is stationed on Argus. The Navy is divided into four fleets and a number of lesser commands. The Four Fleets are Home Fleet, stationed at Brookhaven, The Southern Fleet, stationed at Northcape, Straits Settlements, located at the northern tip of the Rmohal Peninsula, the Central Fleet, located on the island of Maleth in the Golden Gulf and the Western Fleet operating in the Mesder Sea.

It includes the island of Tanah located at the northern tip of the peninsula and four other districts on the peninsula itself. The colony has a population of 308,097 divided into 115,787 Wellsians, 30,769 Kimisri, 151,792 Azanians and 9,749 foreigners. The Capital is the City of Temask (84,768) on the island of Tanah.
The government is under the administration of the Governor, aided by an Executive Council of 8 members and the Legislative Council of 16 elected members.
The Colony has few products, but does export pepper, tapioca, rice, rubber and sugar to Wellsia.
The Colony is important as a depot area and many ships lay over here exchanging cargos to reduce time. It is also home of the Straits Fleet, one of Wellsia's four main naval forces.
The colony provides only a token force for it's own defense in the form of a single Rifle Regiment (506).

Pretty good actually! I recommend to just write history that don't involve anything outside your nation and try not to involve any real life countries. You could work out history with other nations on the map later when you're in it

I mean, like when you asked this from me, my response is still going to basically be the same. It's too small to be either good or a fail.

Something worth mentioning though is that it's very disconnected in a way. We have no idea what happened before, so dropping us to what seems to be a rebellion is a bad idea. Others don't know why the rebellion happened, who did it, why they specifically did it and all the other spicy questions.

I'm thinking of making history before that. You can think of these rebellions as Armenians who rebelled against the Ottoman Empire.
