The Confederacy of Hospitaller West Indies

Concerning factbooks, in my nation overview's history section I mention that France and the Knights of Malta used to have colonial possessions in the Western Isles, can I do that?

Maybe? Also, did you get a telegram I sent you? Can you also please check out my civil war thread? Sorry for impatience.

I assume this is meant to be a matter of "these nations controlled territory that's neither my nation or another with a shared history"?

If so, our rule on unclaimed territory is that they are not to be used except for the creation of a bold territory or reserved for a newcomer.

Bear in mind that, at least in the point of France, Segentova, Thromsa, Verdon, and I all have history of French colonization or settlement. The Knights have no other history here aside from you.

Well I sort of just mention that the French and Knights had settlements in the Western Isles, but as far as I remember the only ones mentioned were the settlements within my borders, so if you and those other nations have history of French colonization for your nation specifically then mine should be fine

The fascinating thing about the TWI for me is the sheer amount of creativity and effort we all put into making our nations unique. Each and every one of you has thrown in a shred of your own being into this and created a plane of our universe that is simply immaculate.

Due to my own intrigue, I have decided that it would be INCREDIBLE to see all of your nation's most intricate and personal bits that make them what they are.

All nations have folklore, all nations have legends. Be it the Viking Sagas or the American Pioneers. Or tales of a great legendarium like King Arthur, or monsters like the Naga, Loch Ness, or a Yowie. Share YOUR creative legends, myths and folklore tales, sagas and histories! We'd all love to hear it :)

I have tried to make Great Vargas a pan Khas-Kirati thing. For now, only a few nations have their own Great Vargas.

But ICly, the Khas-Kiratis have designated a Great Varga for every country in the Isles. OOCly, I can only work on that if other nations give me the green light.

Because you're a new nation, there's no reason for anyone to get involved, and there's already a clusterfvck going on in Mokov. Civil wars aren't good for new nations to start on.

Osemira wrote:on earth that I know of that supports Pakistan, which is definitely not a good sign.

I am pretty sure that while Pakistan might have the worst diplomatic outreach of any major/regional power, China is not the the only country that supports Pakistan. Turkey right now seeks closer partnership with Pakistan and to my knowledge; Erdogan's Turkey is the only Muslim-majority nation that criticized India for the Kashmir situation regarding Article 370. And Saudi Arabia often seeks Pakistani aid in keeping Iran in check. And in the past...let's just say a certain "Land of the Free" was one of the biggest supporters of Pakistan.

That said, all these nations use Pakistan. China uses Pakistan as a stick to poke India. Turkey uses Pakistan for its own ambitions to be seen as the leader of the Muslim world. Saudi Arabia seeks closer ties with Pakistan as long as the latter's nukes are better than Iran's.

I know this is rich coming from a Nepali, but Pakistan should not have been created. It was doomed from the start. Started with East and West Pakistans and we all know what happened in the east later on (it became Bangladesh for anyone unfamiliar with this topic). Punjab and Sindh are both divided and have more territories and people in India. Baluchistan, where most of the Pakistani coastline lies, has been rebellious from Day 1 and its people identify more as Iranians than as people of the subcontinent. All of the major rivers in Pakistan originate in Indian-controlled Kashmir. And there's the issue of the Durrand Line and Pashtunistan to which Afghanistan lays claims to (and it was historically theirs...thanks for ruining more borders Britain). As long as a stable Afghanistan exists, it will be strong enough to demand and threaten Pakistan about the Pashtun lands and Pakistani government, no matter who runs it, does not want that. Which is why Pakistan sheltered Islamists with intentions of destabilizing Afghanistan; an action that has its wide consequences to this day. Pakistan has nobody else but itself to blame for the suspicious eyes they are viewed with in the global community. They alienated their former American allies. They made Afghanistan even more India-aligned with their support for terrorists elements that terrorize Afghanistan.

And despite all this, when we look at what is happening in Modi's India; I do not think Jinnah was wrong. He was just a pragmatist while Gandhi was an idealist.

perhaps because of the implied tone that comes from you, friend
We're all just human. You're not the spotlight. People are participating in TWI Cup right now, are working on their own factbooks, news posts, etc. and have their jobs or school or both to do as well. No one is looking at this and saying "huh, I'm gonna ignore this because I hate Trigel." but people may be looking at it and saying "I'm busy" or "My nation is neutral, it isn't realistic for me to do anything here" or "this guy is sometimes rude, I don't want to participate in this."
If you want people to participate, be patient, and work on developing your nation a helluva lot more before you begin an RP.

I agree. Stuff doesn't happen overnight. It takes hardwork and patience. Eventually, I'm sure some people would come. I do know a certain someone who might be interested as well
