The Utopian Kingdom of the Union of Roendavar

Fools! Fish are our friends and water helps us grow! You should all know that the only weaknesses of the Roendavari are a stake through the heart, fire, beheading and direct sunlight. Get some garlic and salt too for maximum damage.

You see, NS stats just don't make any sense

The Taa'zi of Remodio

Ainslie wrote:As in a simulated tournament between national teams or a bunch of diplomats shooting hoops?

Yes.
Jk yeah a simulated tournament, I'll prolly have guys submit rosters then create a bracket then simulate the rest. My idea was to have the games played in a bubble in the ID tho

Ahh ok good

That would be interesting... having them all played in the ID

The Commonwealth of Trigel

Finished the overview! It looks a little weird because of a big map picture.

The Republic of Miklania

Trigel how did you develop your military statistics?

The Much love from Polar of Aizcona

Ope, and in comes Mik.

Gory, gory what a hell of a way to die

Yo your GDPPC is way too high. 30,000 is soft cap, and 40,000 is max with approval from Roendavar

The Bird Buddy of Shidei

I don't read the rules or do research, I just put down big numbers on a page because I like seeing big numbers

What about any monetary restrictions?

Yup, excellent advice, which I've cut down to the points I'm thinking about. Power projection is fun, but significant power projection assets (carrier battle groups, amphibious task forces) get real expensive, real fast. Since I have a good idea how much butter Ioudaia provides -- and also a luxury space program of the sort that the ESA would like to fly :P -- how many guns I can afford and what sort of guns they are are the remaining questions.

Which, when I start to crank in RL costs and capabilities, gets complicated. :( But soon, soon!

Yeah I've already TG'd Trigel about it a few hours ago.

The Commonwealth of Hyukai

I strongly recommend not taking that implied tone with someone who's going out of their way to help you.

Big brain moment right there.

So, buddy, you admit you don't even want to try to create something approaching quality or realism, here?
Then I'm just gonna have to warn you that you should not expect that anyone will be willing to interact with you IC-ly. Because, if you're not going to put in any effort, then No-one else will.

The Confederation of Alteran Republics

I know I've offered to assist a few people with trade, economics and military matters recently.

If you all have Discord, I'm happy to host VC sessions to discuss ideas, suggestions and work on collaborations. Now I've moved into my new place, I should be free most evenings (18/19:00 BST onwards) and the weekends. If that's something you'd like to take advantage of, just hut me up with a TG or discord.

The Republic of Miklania

Trigel Send me a TG when you're ready and we can work on military stuff.

The Much love from Polar of Aizcona

Also check check, all my Texans still kicking?

The Confederation of Alteran Republics

Aizcona wrote:Back to being a teacher I see haha

Hah, the old teacher in me is still kicking - but I've had people ask for my help (and I've offered as well) but I've been busy lately.

Now I'm fully settled in, I'm good to go. Until then, I'm gonna play FarPoint on my VR. :P

I don't put in much effort. It's my way. Why is that a problem?

The Unified Electorates of Ainslie

Trigel wrote:I don't put in much effort. It's my way. Why is that a problem?

Actually, that's a big problem... here in TWI, we like to build on each other's strengths and sure up each other's weaknesses - if people are legitimately and consciously 'not putting in much effort' that damages the good thing we've got going here... we thrive and build on the quality of each others' work in order to make unique and realistic storylines.
