Have you thought about getting an engine-generator? Those are always handy if you're expecting blackouts.

I might look into. This area isn't really prone to them, but I'll probably have a new job relatively soon and it's good to have.

Humorously most of the work I do is actually for the power company here

I run a nano USB air pump or 2 in each of my tanks for my airstones/sponge filters and the big brain move is to have a couple of the large USB battery banks on hand so I can use those to keep the water moving no matter what because the power draw is super low (and quiet!).

Agreed, I have also never seen it, just heard about it by word of mouth. Unlike the anti-phone law they passed, that forced me to buy a phone mount so I was pretty annoyed.

You know what would be great? Good administrative culture and civil servants actually doing their jobs.

I have conscription as a policy, but in RP do I have to? Or how can I remove that?

RP And NS-gameplay are completely detached frome one another. You don't have to, but personally I think it most unwise for any nation not to secure their own defense. :^)

Of course whether or not have conscription depends heavily on the country's situation. A smaller country could find conscription useful to boost military personnel numbers, as well as secure a somewhat trained basis for mobilization during conflict. If the country lacks a threat however, why bother? Keep a well trained professional force, which while having smaller numbers, could be more than capable of safeguarding the nation.

Tagging Trigel on this one as well

Trigel I noticed something rather worrysome while going through your factbooks regarding your armed forces. In your armed forces factbook you claim to have 5,600 aircraft, while your overview says that you have a total defense budget of "7,122,000", which I assume to be either $7.1 million or meant to be $7.1 billion

Let's just say that 5,600 planes, even if that includes logistics, training and the actual combat planes for a country of over 3 million... is a lot.

For comparison with quick Google, Russia has an air force of 4,163 aircraft, the US has 5,047 "manned" aircraft and China has +3370 aircraft.

The Soviet Navy used trawlers for logistics when auxiliaries weren't available... or that might just be NATO propaganda.

2,600 aircraft with $7 billion spread across the entirety of the Armed Forces... It's still a hella lot hombre.

I'd recommend atleast trying to gather what type of planes you have and looking at their costs, both acquiring and actual maintenance. $7 billion for the entire armed forces isn't going to get you an air force that big, not to mention with the population of +3 million.

For reference, Aprosia maintains an air force consisting of 1,594 aircraft and that contains logistics, training and actual combat aircraft. For the hefty price of almost $20 billion dollars.

EDIT: And if someone asks to see the numbers, factbook is coming up, I swear guys. I got the numbers though, big thanks to Papa Mikey <3

Atleast the Soviet Navy was capable of something. Trigel's navy is 781 vessels with 3,400 personnel. Navy gotta be full of fishing boats.
