The Delhi police flew 1,000 miles south into Karnataka and arrested a 22 years old female climate change activist for sharing Tweets and documents from Greta related to the farmer's protests. She has been charged under sedition law ], which was ironically made by the British to jail Indian freedom fighers (anti-homosexual laws being another colonial era rule).
It's like some Texan Ranger flying to Maine and arresting a dude for criticizing Trump/Biden policy.
Democracy is ever fragile in world's largest democracy where right-wing businessmen say "this country should have less democracy". With a right-wing party that wants to expand into other South Asian nations. A right-wing party whose "IT Cell" constantly brigade and downvote into oblivion any news slightly critical of Modi. The party that assassinated Gandhi for "dividing India". A party that has actual terrorists among its ranks while protesters are labeled "Khalistani terrorists" or "ISI agents".
What these buffons do not understand is, you do not improve your "nation's image" (the aspiration of being a superpower and being "treated equal" by outsiders is really strong in most Indians) by arresting climate activists, filing lawsuits against Greta, cutting Delhi's Internet and constantly saying "there is a global China-Pakistan funded UN-backed conspiracy to destroy India".
In another regional country...Myanmar's military fired upon its own citizens in Kachin State.
Enough about neighbors, our own "democracy" is already at great danger. The parliament has been dissolved before a vote of no confidence could be launched against our PM. The President, who should be the one to talk sense into the PM, choose party loyalty above her country and dissolved the parliament. And people are getting arrested for making "PMxPresident" jokes.
So for context, I'm from the North and am currently living in the South. Anyway, it is deeply hilarious and more than a little scary seeing how this city reacts to significant amounts of snow. It's like the bomb dropped. Every single car has 6 inches of snow on the roof while driving. Nobody owns a snow shovel. Apparently nobody owns decent jackets either.
The Serpens Land Army is the primary land warfare component of the Serpens Land Armed Forces. It currently consists of around 14,600 active personnel and 74,620 reserve personnel.
The Serpens Land Army was originally formed in 1914 when a force was formed to fight alongside British forces in the Edrium Rebellion. After the succesion of the Republic of Erodesia from Serpens Land, the army saw little action until 1942. In August 1942, Serpens Land forces suffered heavy losses during the invasion of the Serpens Land territory of Diachen, leading to Serpens Land's involvement in the Imperial War.
The modern Serpens Land Army is a capable force with the ability to deploy on missions overseas. They conduct peacekeeping missions, provide humanitarian aid, and assist in disaster relief across the Western Isles.

Wierdly enough this happens to an extent here as well.
The moment when snow actually comes, everyone acts like they never expected snow to come. Half of the cars on the road still have summer tires, windows all icy and the bane of my existance: public transportation forgot the existance of winter as well.
EDIT: People also not having warm clothes is painful to watch. Not to mention the joggers with shorts...

It's illegal to not clear snow off your car before you drive in MA.
It's also common sense, but that doesn't prevent people from not doing it

I’m curious, how often is that really enforced? Like is it just one of those things that a cop could pull you over for but doesn’t if you’re driving safely in general?

In Finland atleast, cops generally pull you over if they see it. Same thing if you have frozen windows.
I've yet to see it, but if you've got enough snow on your roof that it's noticeable, you'll likely be pulled over for it. That stuff is a serious hazard when you mix it with highway driving speeds.
