Apparently the US and Indian governments warned them several weeks in advance.

That would be comparable to the French government, who were warned by Israeli intelligence on the likelihood of the November 2015 attacks occuring.

Or the British government when they were warned by me that UKIP were British Nazis and Brexit was like dropping a bomb on our economy (althought it could go well... maybe...)

Mandeka

Hello everybody! It’s me, Mandeka. Some may remember me, Other may not, and others won’t even know me. My nation ceased to exist so my flag got reset, and I can’t find it again.

I know it has been several months since I started to be AWOL from here. I’m just leaving this message to let you all know that I am fine, I haven’t died and nothing bad has happened irl. I just simply lost interest in NS and have since moved onto other things. I was trying really hard to get motivated to return with a news post or something else, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. And then when I logged on one day and saw my nation gone from the map, that let me decide to officially quit, but I haven’t announced it until now, so sorry about that. But yes, I’m officially quitting. I have quit in the past and come back, but this time I don’t plan on coming back. Don’t get the wrong idea from this, I didn’t quit because of the community or the game, I love both, but I just have simply lost interest in the game.

I would like to thank everyone who supported me and was interested in my nation from the bottom of my heart, it really means a lot to me. In particular, Ainslie, Eurania, Ostehaar, Dormill and Stiura and Samudera, you guys were really kind and always willing to help me Mr. Noob haha. But I don’t want anyone who I haven’t mentioned to feel offended, everyone was good to me, it’s just that these guys were the main ones who I still remember. I’m so grateful I was apart of this community. I know it sounds corny, but this is honestly how I feel. Thank you guys so much.

So this is my official goodbye. Again I want to thank you all so much for what you have done to me in the good 18 months I was involved in this community. I will never forget this amazing game and TWI, and I hope you guys won’t forget me.

Sorry if this message was long and corny :P

Some of you have never been to Saratoga during the Head of the Fish and it shows.

So I’ve got something to say.

Over the last few weeks, as I’ve mentioned, I’ve been suffering a creative burnout as I just couldn’t put fingers to keyboard and actually RP or nationbuild, and I think I’ve found something out about myself that might be important to that.

I genuinely prefer writing stuff out on pen and paper than I do typing it out, I feel that somehow lets my ideas flow better. That being said, I’ve yet to find a way to put it to good use since touchscreen viable styluses are either ineffective or stupidly expensive, meaning I’d have to invest a fair amount in one to use. That being said I am exploring ways of handling this in productive ways. Hopefully, I can get serious nationbuilding and RPing done as soon as I find an effective way of writing. I’ll update as I figure things out.

I always write it out in a notebook and then after dozens of scratch outs, rewrites and torn out sheets, I then type it on the computer.

My handwriting is hot crap, no way I’ll do that.

That wouldn’t help me, I find my point of trouble to be the typing process. If I have to transcribe my chicken scratch to keyboard, I would just start with the keyboard.
