Ah, it's all good. I probably still could reclaim it if I wanted to, but haven't felt the motivation quite yet

I believe in 14 days you can become a citizen and join parliament!

In the meantime you can assist committees such as the Culture Committee I oversee, or others that handle relations with other regions like Foreign Affairs.

Or you can join political party's! The Common Democratic Party (mine!) for a more people individual based bottom up approach (and currently seeking MPs), or The New Way, a party based upon bettering the region.

I mean you can rise pretty quickly! Just last September I was taking refuge, and felt very scared, now I am a cabinet member! (Apparently a PM frontrunner but I really don't want to be PM lol) take my story as inspiration!

I'll add you to the CDP's register, and if you're referring to a puppet which I think you are, we typically store them here.

Hey - Faralried, I'd like to join the Foreign Affairs Committee, I would like to join on the basis of trying understand more about our Foreign Policy and help shape FA decisions, and seeing in what direction we're going

If you can convince NUCL, TK or Claibornia to trade spots I am fine with it. But the idea of restricting the FA committee to a smaller group was intentional. So i don't wish to make the group larger and have this committee chat run into the same problem of to many eyes on it the previous one did

I am seeking to follow through on my election promise to the Citizens who voted for me. I want to help in the committee to put forward the more cultural/foreign affairs focused agenda that I was voted for PM on. I don't understand why I would need to swap with another member; in the constitution there is no restrictions on amount of members of a committee. As Committee Members only need to be residents deemed competent and helpful by the Chairperson.

I understand there is not a size limit on the committee in the constitution, but in the previous term there were things it was uncomfortable to put in there given the eyes on it and the sensitive nature of the information.

It is for this reason I view the expansion of the committee itself as unhelpful

Having previously been Deputy Prime Minister I have been able to access this sort of information without any issues. I feel like moving to a more non-transparent approach is a slippery slope and is not beneficial for the Foreign Affairs in the region. I want to join on my own merits and to ensure that our government agenda is working to the will of the people.

There is a level of info that was not shared with FA committee last term, so there were issues, you were just unaware of them. A small committee keeps this information more secure. Im not saying youre a leak risk, if i did i would deny you altogether.

I am saying however there is a level of information that was previously not shared with the committee. And while there are still levels of information that will not be shared with the committee, the increased sensitivity of the information allowed to be shared dictates i need to be careful with the infosec.

I've told you the circumstances id accept your membership.

Firstly, when I was Deputy Prime Minister, why was I not informed of Foreign Policy changes? How was I supposed to be effectively fulfil my job as DPM if I wasn't kept up to date with our policy?

I am frustrated by the environment that you are creating which will make it difficult for citizens to engage with our government, as this essentially means new citizens will not be able to join the FA committee. It is supposed to be an open forum.

I think you are thinking these pieces of information are something that they aren't. At no point have they changed our FA policy

Well it's disheartening to know I was left out the loop of key info when I was DPM, and the way you discussed this information made it sound like it would have impacted my decision-making on FA policy? But clearly I don't know about information I was never told about.

It seems you are choosing now to disregard my other points. I disagree with the premise that there is lots of ‘info sec’ Foreign Affairs information around, and why I am a supporter of a more culture based Foreign Affairs approach - I believe we should pursue more casual/cultural relations with regions. If there is private information that would/should never be shared with the FA committee anyways? I am a firm believer in the importance of transparency of FA decision making - as this is important to hold the government accountable and this is the whole idea behind the committee. The whole rationale you've provided is flawed and I don't accept a position where we lock new citizens out of the FA committee.

1)If you don't know how much info was kept out, how do you know enough that there isnt a lot of info sec?

2)Keeping the FA Committee or DPM out of the loop on certain high sensitive things is not new. With commend yodle the same thing happened. Sometimes information has a need to be under lock and key

3)Culture based relations are great, but the culture/GP divide doesn't exist in FA outside our region. Its all bundled into a singular FA vision. If we become a leak risk its not like we just lose GP relations. We'd lose a lot of cultural relations as well. As such I can't be transparent about everything. Its not a decision im making to be rude or not transparent, its a decision im making to ensure our cultural relations don't get tanked by a poor decision.

4)Newer members are not locked out of the FA committee. Okona is on the FA committee. I didnt really factor in seniority at all.

We're building embassies with CSS! I'm excited about this one - New England INC has stopped by a ton for our events, and that region in general is a really friendly RP region. The cartographer I commissioned is an RPer over there, and we've seen nothing but good things coming from them and that region as a whole :)
