As of yesterday, the special 2nd year anniversary of TNPV, TNPV XXVII, is underway, and you are now able to send your songs! All residents of feeder regions are allowed to participate! Deadline for sending songs: 24th May
Welcome to London, the neon-y and vibrant capital city of Nordic-British Union, where the 27th edition of The North Pacific Vision will take place. For the first time ever, we have the honour to host TNPV, after winning the previous round (TNPV XXVI), with 18 points over Ethnon with Ava Max’s So am I, as well as it being the special 2nd year anniversary of the TNPV Song Contest! As always, below you will be able to find information of what TNPV is, how to participate, what the rules are and a list of all the songs participating in this edition so far!
This edition will take place in The Vickersian Theatrical Park, London, Nordic-British Union. While you’re there, you may want to take a look around London, ‘cause this neon world’s a lot more than its boring, ordinary counterpart!
Now, let's move on to the fun bit. It's time to submit your entry! Make sure it complies with the rules (found below), it hasn't been used before and—hey! Even if you don’t think you’ll win, this event’s a lovely opportunity to share with each other our different styles and tastes. Though, do bear in mind: Voting (with reserve votes) is mandatory and failure to vote will lead to disqualification. Not to mention it annoys Cassandra, who has to add a few more people to her hit list chase other nations for votes.
If you don't understand reserve votes then contact me as soon as possible so you don't sit there a day before the voting period ends while wondering: "What in the name of the Traveler and the Halo Installations is Reserve Votes?". We’ve used it for the last seven editions and it made the contest a lot more fun when we could actually replace the votes from nations who didn't vote with nations who had actually voted. Though it did have the unintended side effect of keeping a certain Scotsman away from rock bottom. Ugh.
If you're new, then the above will probably befuddle you. In which case, just think of the reserve votes as an additional three songs that you like.
Just send a song, listen to everyone else's songs and rank your top 13 during the voting period, and then you're done.
Sounds pretty easy, huh?
That's because it is!
And if you've ever watched Eurovision, then this is our own version of it.
It's very similar. Well, I hope so, ‘cause I only watch TNPV!
I hope you enjoy the 2-year anniversary special edition of TNPV! If you did, give a upvote for this dispatch!
And even if you don’t, bear in mind that all comments and suggestions will be reviewed carefully over a bottle of cider.
Good luck to all and best wishes!
